1
Hi, friends.
2
Welcome back to English Every Day, a podcast that I made just for you, where I speak in slow,
3
easy, and understandable English so that you can learn every day.
4
Today, we are talking about hobbies, what we like to do when we have time, what we like to do in our free time.
5
Write in the comments down below.
6
What are your hobbies?
7
What do you like to do when you have time?
8
What do you like to do in your free time?
9
Yesterday, we spoke about exercising, being active and playing sports.
10
So for me, one of my favorite hobbies is going to the gym,
11
going on a run, going for a walk or playing sports like American football or baseball.
12
But I also have other hobbies.
13
Another hobby of mine is writing poetry.
14
What's poetry?
15
When you write a poem, you put a lot of emotion into it.
16
Maybe it's happiness or sadness or anger or whatever kind of emotion you try to put into your poem.
17
And when somebody reads your poem, hopefully they feel that emotion,
18
they feel the happiness, they feel the sadness, and they are brought, they are brought to happiness.
19
meaning that your poem your text that you wrote brings them to a certain kind of emotion
20
meaning that your poem makes them happy your poem makes them sad your poem brings them to happiness
21
or brings them to sadness another hobby of mine is reading i like to read books
22
but to be honest in the last few weeks I haven't read many books I haven't been reading many books
23
because I'm so busy I'm busy every day
24
and I really want to read more books
25
but I feel like I don't have the time I don't have time to read books.
26
And that's sad.
27
That's disappointing because I'd like to read books and reading books are good for you.
28
But of course, I'm not reading books right now.
29
But of course, I have other hobbies.
30
Just like you, I like to learn languages.
31
I like to learn
32
Polish and Spanish.
33
So learning Polish and Spanish are two of my biggest hobbies right now.
34
I spend a lot of time on them.
35
Of course you need to spend a lot of time learning any language
36
and so every day of course I'm practicing my Polish and my Spanish because I like learning the languages.
37
They're hobbies of mine and to get better in those languages, I need to practice every day like you right now.
38
Another hobby of mine is writing in my notebook, my journal, or my diary.
39
I try to do this often because it helps me think about my thoughts.
40
It helps me clear my mind, meaning that I think more clearly.
41
It helps me organize my thoughts so that I know, okay, this is why I'm feeling this feeling.
42
This is why I feel sad or why I feel happy.
43
This is what I did today.
44
This is what I need to do tomorrow.
45
And all of this helps me reach my goals.
46
My goals, of course, are teaching more people english learning more languages being a better person
47
and being active
48
so i really like journaling it's one of my favorite hobbies
49
you know i don't have many hobbies i tend to do the same things
50
i tend to do the same set of things the same collection of things over and over again every day.
51
But it would be fun to listen to hear more about your hobbies
52
because there are so many things to do in this world
53
and I want to know what do you guys and your cultures like to do?
54
What are your hobbies?
55
So please write it down below.
56
Remember that the text
57
or the transcript is in our community along with a bunch of other English learners
58
so you can make friends and speak English every day.
59
See you tomorrow.
60
Peace.
