British Trade.

You will hear a talk about British trade in 1993.

As you listen, write down the percentages in the appropriate places.

Look at two pie charts below.

They give you some information about British trade by geographical distribution

in 1993 three the left pie chart is for exports

and the right one is for imports now let's look first

at the left pie chart the exports pie chart you can

see the European Union took a big proportion of Britain's exports trade in 1993 it accounted for 53 percent

and the other countries took 15 percent percent oil exporting countries took five percent and other developed countries were four percent

north america took fourteen percent

and other western europe countries took eight percent of britain's export

trade in 1993 now let's take a look at the right pie chart which is for imports

the distribution here is similar the european union took 50 percent of britain's imports in 1993.

The other Western Europe countries took 12 percent, North America took 13 percent,

and other developed countries took 7 percent.

Oil exporting countries took only 3 percent of Britain's imports.

The other countries took 15 percent of Britain's imports.

Wat is de Shadowing-techniek?

Shadowing is een wetenschappelijk onderbouwde taalleermethode die oorspronkelijk is ontwikkeld voor professionele tolkentraining en gepopulariseerd door polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. De methode is eenvoudig maar krachtig: je luistert naar native Engelse audio en herhaalt het onmiddellijk hardop — als een schaduw die de spreker volgt met slechts 1–2 seconden vertraging. In tegenstelling tot passief luisteren of grammaticadrills, dwingt shadowing je hersenen en mondspieren om echte spraakpatronen tegelijkertijd te verwerken en te reproduceren.
