We have been here for seven years.

When we bought this house, it was falling down.

It was a crumbling wreck.

This is so cute.

Everything you see we've redone, but I just really wanted to look like a traditional kitchen that's been here for two or three hundred years.

This is my baby.

This is the aga.

It is the heart of the home.

This room of the kitchen is really, really handy.

It's where I do my laundry.

It's where Bear has her bed and sleeps at night.

I'm going to show you one of my favorite rooms in the house.

It is the larder and it's a traditional Victorian larder and I love it.

This is the dining room.

The house was built in 1420.

There wouldn't have been any ceilings, it would have been one open hall and they would have had no glass windows.

It was before glass was around.

And what's the oldest part of the house?

I'm going to take you in a minute next door.

Because it's listed, it's grade two listed, we had to get a survey, we had to get a historical architect look at it before we could even do any of the repairs.

We discovered some really interesting things, including some witch's marks.

A lot of people ask me, is it haunted i think it is haunted

but i think it's got a really friendly energy

and a friendly ghost rumor has it

that king henry iii actually stayed here everything's a little bit

wobbly the bed has to be tilted up on books to

keep it level how hard is it to keep this warm

in the winter i'm not gonna lie it is not the

easiest i just say to my kids you can put another

jumper on beams in here are incredible it's pretty special isn't it this mezzanine here apparently was built

so people could sleep up there because the heat rises

and people would keep warm by sleeping up there our bedroom is up here it's still not modern

but it is much more modern than the tudor era ceilings

are much higher there's more symmetry to the room the windows are bigger

so it's a really different feel en suite

so the bathrooms are one of the things that we haven't really done

that much to it's pure 1960s

when I first wanted to rip it out we kind of thought actually it's quite cool

and it's definitely unique so we have kept it

but I do kind of want to update it in at some point just sit

and relax have a cup of tea run yourself a bath we found this at an antique shop

and they're actually really rare to find these

that are English often they're French

and my daughter doesn't like anything antique she likes modern hence

this being very simple she has said to me I'm not allowed to put anything old in it
