So tell us, you know, how it was different recording it from the last three.

You had, you know, you got the new label.

Well, Artemis Proper is now promoting it.

You just finished a Mushroom Red tour

or it's kind of been the same old do -it -yourself

uh bust your ass mentality i can say ass right yes yes you can good sorry about

that um you know just doing our thing man we recorded

a lot of this record on tour just like recorded a

lot of the last record on tour you guys have like a mobile rig with you

or i got an hd pro tools rig i just have

it on i had a nice case built for it rolls right back in the back of the bus

and like that way cool it's the same studio at home

and it is on tour you know a couple good mic pre's all you need you know the story

but um just been been doing that

and touring non -stop like always we're actually all kind of

i think just really getting to the point where we're uh focusing on our lives a little bit

because we've been so nuts touring so much

and we got to go back to japan here next week for halloween

and okay just doing what we do man cool crazy well we got more to talk about

but right now we're going to see a headbangers ball premiere

from mud vein here they are with forget to remember i forgot that

dope is hanging out with me here tonight we're talking about their new album american apathy

and uh let's talk about the videos because the new one survived

which we've been playing for a while now you got a cool story behind

that which you should tell all the uh people at home yeah it was fun man

because the song is sort of a testament to the band

being around as long as we have it's our fourth record now

and um we shot all the live footage in japan the last time that We were there, and we just got this idea of,

since the sentiment of the song was about the band and how the band has grown and progressed through the years, we went back to all the video footage of every video the band's ever shot

and cut in clips of it to sort of walk the timeline of Dope through the years.

So anybody that's familiar with our older stuff can see little clips of it throughout the video

and just see where the band started and where we're at now.

And didn't you do a video for every song in the last album?

Yes.

So is there footage from every...

Not every single one, but at least a couple to show you that time frame.

Okay.

Yeah, from that record.

But yeah, there was no way, because if we were in like 20 -something videos now, it would have been ridiculous.

We made sure to show lots of the silver chicks, though, because it's very important.

Can't get enough of that.

Although they did make us take lots of shots of them.

We could not show any of the body parts.

We had to make sure the head was in the shot.

I was bummed out.

Yeah, you know.

so we were we kind of had been talking about doing this thing the whole time
