so what i'm gonna do today uh in our session is

like last couple of sessions we went over the roadmap of

how to become an architect from a developer right developer to architect roadmap now having said

that a lot of you are posting comments in my channel asking like additional trainings additional guidance

or one-on-one training from me now because of bandwidth issue

and my own personal commitment I won't be able to provide you one-on-one training or

one-on-one sessions uh other than the youtube channel that i typically use to

uh reach out to all of you at one time right now uh

but don't be discouraged or disheartened by hearing this

because i have a good news for all of you right now this is something

that i went over maybe

when i started this youtube channel long time back i went over some of the good resources

where you can learn on-demand Sterling Integrator,

Sterling File Gateway, and some of the other B2B products.

Now, this is kind of a recap

or a refresher for those who are new to my channel as well as people who have joined later to my channel.

So with that, let me share my screen, and I'm going to walk you through some of the very good resources that you have provided by IBM itself,

who is the product owner right uh

and this might be a good way of like

if you have some uh additional money okay

that you want to really invest in your own career if you think that sterling integrator or uh b2b is the

like uh carrier that you want to invest in i think these are some of the good resources

that can be purchased and some of them are free resources so you have both like free and also uh

cost uh specific uh trainings but they are very good resources

because they are actually developed and maintained by ibm itself

so let me share my screen and we can go over that all right

so if you see uh i have opened this uh link which is called ibm.com slash training so Long time back,

we used to have like few certifications around sterling b2b integrator

which fortunately i was able to give and clear

but unfortunately after uh like few years they uh did not continue with those certifications

so we don't have a real uh like sterling certification uh

but uh if you go into this ibm.com slash training

and then let me scroll at the bottom

if you explore by product area

if you see uh there is a category called sustainability software within

that you might notice b2b integrator so if i click on this

now it has some certain additional product set

and then there's some additional categories within

that now in the sterling data exchange category we have three

product line one is sterling b2b integrator one is sterling file gateway another one is sterling secure proxy

so let's say if i want to learn more about sterling file gateway for my project or for my career

i will click onto the sterling file gateway

and you can see over here there are almost 63 training

courses just for sterling file gateway itself now a quick uh glance

if you uh like see here there are certain resources like

if you see the first one like managing sterling file gateway

you can like go into more details like click on the

explode button you should be able to see more detail about the course itself

but it has a cost associated right it's a 16 hours course it's retiring soon

might not be a good thing to invest in but the ones

that are not retiring those are like kind of latest

and greatest you might be able to uh invest

and like purchase those uh like sessions

and go through them like it's really like

if you see over here um how do you like

if someone is interested in uh sterling file gateway uh version

6.2 administration right you have an intermediate course it's in one hour

and it has a cost associated now if i click on

that explore button it will take me to the more details about that specific um

course itself and if you see this looks like a interesting one this is something

that even i am like new to this

because uh looks like this is kind of a certification ibm certified sterling to filegate for 6.2 administrative professional,

which is really interesting.

So looks like they have actually opened a certification around Sterling file gateway,

which isn't used for me.

Glad that I am doing this session and I'm also learning along with you guys.

So if I select, okay, so I have to create a web account in IBM professional certification.

But good thing we identified there is one certification.

The cost is $200 for this exam.

And there's like sections where like subsection, section one, section two.

So it has more details about like what kind of questions that it might come.

And then there are like definitely exam resources like managing Sterling file gateway or IBM Sterling B2B integrator administrator training.

Now, this training itself will have a cost associated this is the sex eight hours course

but and then you can see like what are the uh like topics

that are covering that but

if i've i've heard like some of them are having like some uh bandwidth as well as

that they want to invest in their career do invest in

this kind of courses where you will really get more insight to the product itself

and based on my uh experience i have gone through like quite a few of these courses

when i used to work for my previous company who used

to have who happened to be a ibm business partner

and we used to get these courses free of cost

but these courses like some of the courses i remember it not only takes you through the tutorial but it actually

like when you purchase the course it creates like it has some sandbox environments built in within

that course itself i don't know which one

but uh you can literally do hands-on like they have some virtual machines uh with sterling b2b integrate

or a file gate for install on top of that

and then there are like certain hands-on exercises

that you should be able to do within the virtual machine

that way it's not about theory

but you should be able to get some very good hands-on experience on those virtual machines on the product itself

because oftentimes the challenge of learning sterling is you don't get a licensed software

that you can install within your uh laptop

and uh for a like for an individual contributor it is very uh uh it's not cost effective right
