When the ice melts, it makes the sea levels rise, which can cause flooding in places where people live.

Imagine your home getting flooded, it would be terrible.

Another effect is that the weather is becoming more extreme.

This means we might have more dangerous storms, like hurricanes and tornadoes, and they can cause a lot of damage.

A wise person once said, climate change is not a problem for the future.

Climate change can also affect animals and plants.
