The reason I'm here is well the the real estate company

that owns this place has been kind enough to let me stay here overnight

but I am getting a feel for what it's like to

live in one of these micro apartments these are places that are very small have very few amenities very little space

obviously not many of the the home comforts

that you would associate with living in a bigger apartment certainly in a house

but they're becoming increasingly popular particularly among younger people people in their 20s

or 30s just starting out in the workplace they don't have

a great deal of money they may be moving into Tokyo from out of town

and they want somewhere that's cheap they can't afford rents for ordinary places

so let me take you on a little tour of my of my new home

and believe me it's not going to take very long is

it possible to call this a kitchenette I suppose it is

there's one one ring there there's a sink a few of things i need although i noticed

that there's no pan for boiling water for the instant noodles i was planning to eat later

if i push this open you'll find my shower

and my reflection in the mirror that's very unprofessional this is

the toilet i've tested it out it is just big enough for me to be able to sit down

and close the door and believe me only just actually this is a model room

so the real estate agent

that owns this places they've got some you know nice photographs

on the wall there's a clock there's also some some hangers there

and and my mask I'm afraid

and then you're probably wondering where on earth I'm going to sleep well the answer lies up this ladder

and there we have it my sleeping quarters so it is quite cozy there's an alarm clock some shelves

futon a quilt and a pillow and looking at it it's i mean i'm not particularly tall but it's

it's got a fairly low ceiling but not too low

and it's just long enough i think for me to be able to stretch out

and have what i hope will be a fairly good night's sleep Amen.

التظليل الصوتي (Shadowing) تقنية تعلم لغة مدعومة علمياً، طُورت أصلاً لتدريب المترجمين الفوريين المحترفين. الطريقة بسيطة لكنها قوية: تستمع لصوت إنجليزي أصلي وتكرره فوراً بصوت عالٍ — كظل يتبع المتحدث بتأخير 1-2 ثانية. تُظهر الأبحاث تحسناً كبيراً في دقة النطق والتنغيم والإيقاع وربط الأصوات والاستماع والطلاقة.
