1
Do you get on the show floor and play a lot of games?
2
I mean I'm definitely a gamer but I'm not a fanatic I would say.
3
I like playing games but I'm so busy with making music
4
that every time I feel like I'm playing a game it really has to be with other guys
5
or the tour bus or you know.
6
When I'm sitting at home and playing games I really feel like I'm wasting the valuable time that I can make music.
7
I don't really game at home so much.
8
It's more on tour all the down time, you know.
9
Right.
10
People just show us.
11
So do you guys have a new album coming out?
12
Called Transgressions.
13
We'll be out in August.
14
Cool.
15
Are you going in a different direction or are you straight up?
16
Well, it's definitely Fear Factory.
17
I think it's more, we didn't like, you know, we didn't really specify the typical Fear Factory riffs.
18
I think there's a lot more variety like in the songwriting and riffs.
19
And I think it's not just, you know, when you do your typical Fear Factory riff, you're like, you know, okay, that's Fear Factory.
20
But I think there's gonna be some people being surprised, and, oh wow, I wouldn't expect that to Fear Factory.
21
So I think in a certain way we've kind of evolved to help both of these things and try different ideas.
22
How does the songwriting process go?
23
It's basically just Ray and I getting together with an FDC and a guitar.
24
Low volume, nothing really major.
25
He started writing drum programs, and I started writing riffs.
26
And we combined parts, and we'll see what sticks.
27
And it becomes really good and magical, and keep those parts.
28
And just start building, kind of like brickwork.
29
And then he plays, for instance.
30
Foundation, and he started building a house off.
31
Cool.
32
So what do you like better, working in the studio or touring?
33
I like both.
34
Because once you're building something in the studio, you just want to take it out of the road.
35
And once you're out on tour for a couple of years, you just want to go create the next thing.
36
So it's always kind of, it's about the same thing with video game companies, you know.
37
They work in the game for two years building something.
38
And then once it's out, they already have their heads up to make it the next thing.
39
So, movies, same thing.
40
Cool.
41
Do you want to talk about your tattoos at all?
42
Ah, sure.
43
Alright.
44
Let's start on this arm.
45
It's all done by a guy in Australia called Dave Rant.
46
And he's a very old school, he's actually an old school biker from Scotland.
47
But he lives in Sydney, the south of Sydney.
48
like in the mountains over there.
49
He does all this freehand.
50
Wow.
51
So he doesn't do any overlays?
52
No, so every time I go to Australia, I go to the same guy.
53
Cool.
54
He's like in his 60s, an old man.
55
He's really like a top of the line guy.
56
Cool.
57
What about the other?
58
Same thing, huh?
59
Only this piece.
60
All the rest is just things I collected when I was a kid.
61
You don't really know how to combine your tattoos.
62
I don't know.
63
Just kind of like blast some things together.
64
I don't know.
65
Tattoos, they never get finished either.
66
Right.
67
So you'll be done when your whole body's covered?
68
I feel like when I close my eyes, I'm still going to be done with all the tattoos.
69
It's just a never anything battle.
70
Right.
71
You know, they came up with the same artists again that started something.
72
My schedule was just thick.

  • "I'm definitely a gamer but I'm not a fanatic": Ein gutes Beispiel, um eine Meinung zu qualifizieren.
