1
Cheese power, chomp, chomp, chomp.
2
Chester Chimp chowed down his Chewy O's cereal.
3
Today he would choose to make a cheddar cheese sandwich for his lunch, instead of the usual peanut butter and banana.
4
What, no peanut butter and banana sandwich?
5
Mom asked, as he was leaving.
6
You said they make you strong.
7
I changed my mind, Chester said.
8
I choose cheese sandwiches from now on.
9
They'll make me even stronger.
10
Mom handed Chester a bag of cheesy chips for his lunch and kissed his cheek.
11
No chattering in class, Mom said, as Chester hurried out the door.
12
And don't forget your chapter book and checklist.
13
Chester Chimp charged off as fast as a chimp could go.
14
Chomp, chomp, chomp.
15
At lunchtime, Chester Chimp cheerfully chewed his cheddar cheese sandwich on the school playground.
16
Then Chester chewed on some cheesy chips.
17
Choo, choo, look out, Chester, Chelsea and Cherry, Chester's chums, chanted as they chugged past him playing choo choo.
18
Chas Cheetah was chasing Chauncey Chicken round and round the playground.
19
Chauncey's little chicken legs were churning like windmills.
20
He was tired of being chased, but Chas would not stop chasing him.
21
Chester Chimp leaped to his feet, scattering cheesy chips everywhere.
22
Chas Cheetah, you stop chasing Chauncey this minute or I'll chase you.
23
Chas Cheetah changed directions, and then he chuckled when he saw it was Chester Chimp.
24
Chester, that sounds like a challenge, Chas chuckled.
25
Does a silly chimp like you want to race me, the great Chas Cheetah?
26
Chester gulped.
27
He knew a chimp had no chance to outrun a cheetah.
28
Chester will race you right now, Chelsea and Cherry said cheerfully.
29
He's our champion.
30
That's right, Chauncey Chicken added.
31
Chester is our champion cheetah chaser, and he can beat you, Chaz.
32
The race will be to the chestnut tree, around the old chimney, and back to the start.
33
Chester gulped again.
34
The winner will get a kiss and a chocolate bar from me, Chelsea said.
35
And I'll take a picture of the winner, Cherry added, patting the camera in her pocket.
36
Chester had no choice.
37
Ready, set, go, Chauncey Chicken yelled.
38
Chester Chimp charged off as fast as a chimp could go.
39
Chester chased Chaz Cheetah to the chestnut tree.
40
Chipmunks and chickadees scrambled through the tree branches, chattering and chirping.
41
The cheerleaders cheered and chanted for their champion, Chester, Chester.
42
As the racers rounded the old chimney, Chaz Cheetah stuck out his foot to try to trip Chester.
43
Chaz is cheating, Chauncey Chicken yelled.
44
But Chester charged right over his challenger's foot like a choo-choo train.
45
Ow, Chaz howled, that's not fair, you hurt my foot.
46
A loud cheer went up from the crowd.
47
Hooray, you won, Chester, you beat Chaz.
48
Chelsea gave Chester Chimp a charming kiss and a big chocolate bar.
49
Chaz Cheetah tumbled to the ground, clutching his foot.
50
Ow, I have a charley horse in my foot, he groaned.
51
It really hurts.
52
That's what you get for cheating, Chaz, Cherry said.
53
She pointed her camera at the champion cheetah chaser and said, say cheese, Chester.

Concentrati su "charged off" e "as fast as a chimp" – senti come le parole si connettono! Ricorda: i piccoli passi portano a grandi risultati.
