8

9

20
Okay, so let's unbox the watch together.
21
Look at the quality.
22
It just looks like such good quality.
23
Also, this box is beautiful I really love that the strap is
24
so thin So i'm about to go out for date night
25

26
I'm wearing the necklace here I think it's so cute

28
I'm wearing a long black
29
maxi dress and I'm going to put a black coat on top
30
and I wanted to keep it simple and not have any other jewelry on
31
so I'm wearing a long maxi dress and I'm going to put on this coat.
32
This is a very energy coat.
33
So yeah I absolutely love what this looks like.
34
I just wanted to show you guys the watch is so beautiful.
35
I absolutely love it and yeah I'm ready to go out for date night.

46
And I hope you guys like the video.
47
So I'm literally staying in the middle of nowhere.
48
I'm going to insert some clips.
49
So you guys are probably thinking,
50
what are you doing in the middle of nowhere in a cabin?
51
My friend and I wanted to get the hell away from everything for a little bit.
52
I feel like I've been needing this.
53
We've been talking about it.
54
It's this little cabin called Unyoked.
55
It's like a little tiny home, like a tiny cabin.
56
And I just thought it would be nice for us to get away we love this kind of shit anyway
57
and this video is basically a pep talk on how to
58
be comfortable being alone i thought what better time to film this than
59
when i'm away at a cabin in the middle of nowhere
60
except i'm not actually alone alone i am with my friend
61
but still we both individually live alone
62
so we're having a really great talk about you know what it means to be alone how to be alone
63
and how to actually be happy being alone this is a skill
64
that not many people really master i feel like i am somebody
65
that genuinely in my everyday life not even just on YouTube in my everyday life is really comfortable being on my own.
66
And so I wrote some notes down and I'm going to talk about it.
67
Honestly, even though I've been so on the go,
68
my mental health has never been better.
69
Like I have never felt so good.
70
Maybe this is just the way I am because
71
when I was young I lived in Dubai and I've moved countries
72
and I've moved cities and schools
73
and houses I've never really lived in a house for longer than three years
74
which if you think about it is a lot of moving
75
and I'm starting to understand myself a bit better and understand
76
that I feel like I need change I don't think I'm
77
running away from things I feel like I can understand why
78
people in my life see it as like luma you're going
79
away again like you're running away from things i just think
80
that i crave change i love being out of my comfort
81
zone i'm comfortable being alone you know i just crave being away like right now i feel great it feels
82
so good to be away from all the bullshit i feel detached from things
83
when i'm away like this so my mental health has been really amazing
84
and i like filming videos like this when i'm feeling good
85
because the last thing i want to be on my channel is fake.
86
I like to be genuine.
87
I feel like that's who I am and yeah I've just been feeling really good right now.
88
I've been feeling really independent,
89
really good, really comfortable on my own.
90
I'm not coming to you from a place of like you need to get better,
91
you need to get like me.
92
I too was once in that space where I wasn't comfortable being alone
93
so much to the point where I wouldn't even go eat on my own.
94
Like the thought of eating on my own
95
or going to the movies on my own was just like why would anybody do that?
96
I didn't think it was in me to be the type of person
97
that would ever live alone or be comfortable traveling alone
98
or just I just didn't think
99
that was a part of who I would be I understand
100
that fear of being alone and the fear of letting go of somebody
101
or letting go of something because you're afraid of the alternative
102
which is being alone in this world
103
which is having your own back not having anybody there for you
104
when I went through a really public breakup
105
that a lot of you guys have watched and know about
106
or if you haven't there's a video on my channel where I'm going through a breakup
107
and a lot of my videos now are based around finding confidence,
108
being alone, being independent and that is because
109
that experience was the biggest wake-up call of my life because I relied heavily on living with somebody and being with somebody.
110
I was never really alone.
111
I never really needed to be alone but going through that
112
and now living alone and being very picky with who I give my energy to,
113
who I am friends with,
114
everything has taught me so much about life it's been the biggest lesson for me
115
and i'm so thankful that i've gone through this
116
because i cannot imagine my life moving forward always relying on somebody i've traveled
117
so many places i've moved cities things will just continue to get better
118
and better
119
because i now understand the importance of being alone look i'm not perfect okay i just want to say
120
that i feel like the downfall of being alone all the time is
121
that you kind of get in your head
122
and no one is really there to pull you out of it
123
and to say snap out of it you're really overthinking this
124
now i feel like i've started to introduce you know friends into my life
125
and just kind of like doing things a lot more with people
126
but it was really like me on my own for a
127
minute there i spent almost a year just kind of like
128
most of the time being alone like i would go weeks on end just facetiming friends
129
and everything but sitting alone in my house
130
and running errands doing everything on my own does this mean
131
because i am good at being alone
132
that i'm better than everybody else no does this mean
133
that i don't feel emotional or anxious or depressed no not at all
134
but i have a good thing going i think where i
135
understand my emotions i welcome them i know how to go
136
through the waves of life better i feel like living alone has taught me
137
that i sort of stopped chasing things i got to the
138
point in my life where i was like i'm done chasing
139
things i've done chasing people relationships friends i'm done chasing things
140
that might not even really be that good for me but i'm chasing it and i'm grabbing because what's the alternative?
141
Being alone.
142
And I don't want to be alone,
143
so I would rather settle for these relationships that I shouldn't even be entertaining,
144
but I would do it because I didn't want to be alone.
145
I decided to stop all of that.
146
You need to stop worrying.
147
You need to stop chasing.
148
Let's affirm something together.
149
Okay.
150
When I say let's affirm something together,
151
it means I'm going to say something.
152
I want you to feel it.
153
I want you to believe it.
154
You can even say it with me if you want.
155
Things come to me with ease.
156
My life is incredible and it's only going to get better
157
and rough patches teach me things my growth will lead me to greater things
158
let's affirm that together real quick i know a lot of you may be clicking on this video
159
because you want to learn to perhaps detach from a specific person right maybe you got out of a relationship
160
and you want to detach from that or maybe you're just feeling really lost
161
and you want to let go of things
162
and just sort of like live life the way
163
that we're supposed to live it
164
which is in the moment you know riding the wave
165
and you're just gonna have to accept that and be okay with it.
166
Maybe you've come here and you're sitting with me right now listening to this video
167
because things aren't really the way that you would like them to be
168
and you feel lost and you feel stressed
169
and you feel like you're not comfortable with how things are going and that's okay to be like that.
170
You know how I just mentioned that I moved cities?
171
I'm going to open up to you about something.
172
I'm going to insert this picture here.
173
This is my first night sleeping alone moving cities.
174
I was so uncomfortable
175
and I was really like upset with myself as well for a little bit then
176
because I thought I should be comfortable I was anticipating this I knew it would be different I knew
177
that I would have growing pains moving cities even though I was sad even though I was crying
178
and I was having a whole panic attack
179
and I didn't want to be alone and I felt stressed
180
that I had moved cities I still sort of even in
181
the thick of it knew this is gonna pass this too shall pass
182
because everything always gets better and these are just growing pains
183
and I'm gonna be okay I don't think that you can just switch to being okay on your own straight away.
184
It's not just like a thing that happens within a week.
185
There's a transition phase, sort of like growing pains like I talked about.
186
This phase is uncomfortable but everything that is uncomfortable,
187
everything that is on the other side of our comfort zone,
188
on the other side of fear, is worth having.
189
When I think about me,
190
Luma, and everything that sets me apart from other people like my YouTube channel,
191
these are all things that are on the other side of my comfort zone.
192
I wouldn't have anything that I'm proud of today without stepping out of my comfort zone
193
that doesn't mean that it's easy for me to do
194
that doesn't mean
195
that i want to do it i'm in the same exact position as you guys you know there's still
196
so many things i want to do i feel like i'm at the very beginning of my career
197
and of my life and there's just so much
198
that i want to do but it's
199
so much better to put yourself out there and try things
200
and be on your own
201
and do new things travel move out by yourself whatever it may be
202
because you're one step closer to achieving something great in
203
that new experience and if you don't do any of
204
that then it is just your loss it's like the same
205
thing as okay example i don't really like roller coasters
206
but i go on them
207
and i'll explain to you why this is usually you meet people
208
and they're like i love roller coasters then there's those people
209
that don't really like that stuff and i am one of those people
210
but i always go on the roller coasters
211
because i think okay i could just sit here and and be comfortable or I could do it,
212
it might not be that bad.
213
And I have that great experience that I've just shared with my friends and I've stepped out of my comfort zone.
214
I've done something different.
215
And it's just little things like that that I do,
216
I apply towards everything in my life because just like I got on the roller coaster,
217
I also decide to book flights that I'm scared to book or do things that I'm scared to do.
218
Start a YouTube channel, start a brand.
219
You know, it's like a snowball effect.
220
Once you start doing little things like that,
221
you get better at it.
222
You know, once you start doing things on your own
223
that you used to do with one person that you were once dating or living with or whatever or best friends with,
224
you start doing them on your own,
225
you can start doing so many other things on your own.
226
And so many other opportunities and people will come into your life when you put yourself out there like that.
227
Some people force themselves to hang out with people that they don't really like because they're terrified of being alone.
228
Some people force themselves to date people that aren't meant for them
229
because they are afraid to be alone but you don't know
230
that you don't need it until you've lived your life without it
231
and that's why when people are so heartbroken
232
and they come to me for advice and they're like do you believe
233
that i could ever get back with this person how do
234
i get this person back in my head i'm thinking you
235
know there is such thing as people getting back together
236
but baby this is not happening to you it's happening for you
237
because whether you get back together with this person
238
or you find somebody even greater which i'm sure is going to happen right?
239
Because the universe always has a plan for you.
240
You know, getting over your addiction of having that comfort,
241
it's so much easier said than done,
242
but that is going to set you free.
243
And that's what sets you apart.
244
And that is going to be the beginning of the best phase of your life.
245
There's actually this quote that my friend Mesker shot to you, Mesker.
246
There's this quote that he told me earlier,
247
a ship in a harbor is safe,
248
but a ship wasn't built to sit in a harbor.
249
We as humans are built to withstand change.
250
You are built to withstand change.
251
Believe it.
252
If you are uncomfortable with change,
253
then you are going to be uncomfortable for the rest of your life.
254
So this might feel right now like you are going through such a uncomfortable period.
255
You don't know where life is going.
256
That's okay.
257
When I moved to Australia,
258
because I used to live in Dubai and I've moved around a lot,
259
a lot of my schoolmates and everything would be like,
260
you just move around a lot.
261
Like, do you hate that you don't have one specific home?
262
And for a while I did.
263
I think it's beautiful to have a home and like a base
264
but i don't know i sort of accepted it everybody's different
265
and i feel like this is my life guess i just wasn't meant to have
266
that but i kind of love that
267
because i'm not attached to anything you are supposed to change
268
and grow and like i always say you guys have heard this a million times
269
if you watch me a lot the world is an all-you-can-eat buffet there's
270
so much out there for you
271
if you sit here in comfort holding on to things
272
and you don't trust the universe is going to bring you better things you will never expand
273
and that's why you need to let go.
274
Being on your own gives you the silence to learn about yourself.
275
Those people that never take the time to figure themselves out will have other people tell them who they are.
276
You know what I mean?
277
You know yourself.
278
You have a calling in your soul.
279
You know what you're supposed to do in this life.
280
If you sit there and you listen to it
281
and you trust your gut and you trust that you can do this on your own,
282
you can do everything on your own,
283
you will become so strong and you'll actually be able to weed out people
284
that don't serve you really easily
285
because it's like I feel more comfortable being alone than i feel
286
when i'm with you
287
so why would i invite you to be a part of
288
my life there are going to be phases in your life where you're going through change
289
and you are going through difficult times
290
and just transitional phases where things might be just crazy
291
and life just feels like it's taking a really unexpected turn
292
and in those phases what's going to get you through it is it your boyfriend
293
or your girlfriend your family your friends maybe they might help a bit
294
but ultimately it is you you are the one who is going to make the change
295
and who has the key to everything to you living your
296
best life it is you being comfortable being alone you've got
297
this okay i love you guys i hope you liked my
298
little pep talk in this cabin it's getting dark now
299
so i'm gonna go hang out with my friend
300
but yeah i hope you guys like this pep talk
301
and i will be back very soon next week with another video i love you guys
