Pratica di Shadowing: JaackMaate Reveals His Regrets - Impara a parlare inglese con i video

Creazione lezione...
1
Do you regret any of those videos as you've matured?
2
You say you've mellowed out and matured now and you even spot
3
that you were doing them from like a not an authentic place, right?
4
Do you regret them?
5
There's some I definitely do regret, yeah.
6
The majority I'd say no. Obviously we both know that I'm a big fan of Ricky Gervais and he always,
7
one of his mantras is there needs to be a why in comedy.
8
Why are you doing something?
9
If you're targeting someone, why are you doing it? like um
10
and a lot of my early main channel content like for
11
anyone who doesn't know like i made a video reacting to um
12
so well as advent calendar everybody knows it's got like six
13
million views isn't it yeah crazy it did all right
14
that changed the game for me in terms of youtube i
15
was i was going to quit the the upload before
16
that i was going to quit and then i upload
17
that video and it changed the game but like
18
when i look back on videos like that i have no regrets
19
because it was funny it the comedy almost like it wrote
20
itself like there was a reason why i was doing it
21
it was it was a sketch that's all it was
22
but there would be times when i fell into the trap of like
23
okay people know jack mate for being the guy to slag stuff off
24
and that's funny whatever and then i'd find a few things
25
that naturally did piss me off and i could draw humor from it
26
and then when the content dried up it was kind of like well i've now got to go
27
and look for someone who's doing something wrong
28
and become this kind of like sort of white knight of the internet sort of thing
29
and it was like it's never who I was
30
so I did my first ever video with Ricky Gervais and
31
and that was the biggest moment ever for me and then I remember uploading the video and the interview was
32
brilliant and the top comment was this is good Jack
33
but Ollie White's released some new t-shirts that you haven't spoken about
34
and i thought fuck me so i've got now that's what you want from me is that
35
so then i'd go i didn't go out of my way
36
to go okay zoella in the title bangs views what is she up to oh she's released a book now
37
that book there was nothing wrong with that book
38
but i'm trying i'm actively trying to pick flaws in it
39
that i can dissect on my channel
40
and it's like there that's kind of like the stuff i i i regret i remember ksi
41
and joella they did their
42
when i was trying to be edgy boy edgy boy jack
43
mate they did their first press conference for their fight and
44
that was in in manchester i think it was and i
45
and and because i was the black sheep of youtube i would never get invited to them
46
so therefore by default the jealousy would take over
47
and i'd be like this is shit i want nothing to do with it where deep down i knew
48
that i wanted something to do with that
49
that whole youtube boxing scene in fact i'm a boxing fan i'm a youtube fan
50
So why would that not appeal to me?
51
And they did a press conference.
52
And JJ, he said something about Joe Weller's medication, which I don't agree with.
53
But in the context of a press conference, you say anything you can to get the upper hand.
54
And I remember just turning on my camera straight away.
55
I was like, KSI needs to be cancelled, blah, blah, blah.
56
Because I knew it would bang views.
57
But JJ is a hero of mine, as I'm sure he is to any YouTuber, any content creator.
58
Joe Weller, I used to watch every single one of his videos.
59
I love Joe Weller.
60
So they're the ones I regret when I wasn't being authentic and not even really being funny.
61
Just actually trying to go in on someone because I wanted
62
that check at the end of the ad revenue to be higher that month.

Analizziamolo: frasi naturali e come imitarle

  • "There's some I definitely do regret, yeah."
  • "It was a sketch that's all it was." La ripetizione di "it was" crea un effetto colloquiale. In questo caso, l'italiano userebbe "Era solo uno sketch", ma in inglese la forma "that's all it was" è più informale. Per il shadow speak, ripeti la frase lentamente, notando come "that's all" si fonde in "thatsall".
  • "Why would that not appeal to me?" In italiano: "Perché non mi dovrebbe piacere?", ma in inglese "why would that not..."
