Hello, this is Robbie Krieger from The Doors.

And I've got a new book coming out on October 12th.

It's called Set the Night on Fire.

It's the first time for me I've never written a book.

All I've written is songs.

But this one is, time has come.

I'm trying to set the record straight and make sure people know what really happened with The Doors.

One of the fun things about writing the book was that I get to tell my story about New Haven,

Miami, writing music with Jim Morrison, which doesn't happen to very many people, playing at the Whiskey, the Hollywood Bowl,

the Ed Sullivan Show, what really happened there.

At the time, Jim jumped out the window in New York.

And of course, I will tell you about how I wrote

Light My Fire, Love Me Two Times.

And not only that, but you're going to hear a lot of stuff that you've never heard before.

Before I was in the doors, I got busted for pot, sent to jail.

The time I got kicked out of Jesus' tomb over in Israel.

And then there was a time that Jim dangled my wife -to -be, Lynn, off the balcony of a beach house.

After 20 years or so of not being able to play with Jim, I somehow ended up being a drug addict myself.

And then there's the time where I had a black eye on a TV show.

And I never really explained about that, but I do in the book.

Hopefully, after reading my book, I think people will understand the whole dynamic of the doors

and what it's really like to be in a band like The Doors.
