Hello and welcome to Slow English Podcast.
2
Today I want to talk about daily routine.
3
This is a little different from other videos about daily routine and the level of this video
4
is a 2 so listen carefully
5
and practice I want to tell you what a normal
6
day looks like for me my days are not always exactly the same
7
but I usually follow a similar routine especially in
8
the morning I usually wake up around 7 o'clock I don't get out of bed immediately
9
because I like to have a few quiet minutes before I start my day I I usually check the time,
10
look at my phone for a few minutes and read some messages.
11
Sometimes I check my calendar to see what I have planned for the day.
12
After that, I finally get out of bed and open the curtains.
13
I like to let some fresh air and natural light into my room.
14
Then I make my bed because I feel better when my room is clean and organized.
15
I also put my pajamas away and pick up anything that is on the floor.
16
Next, I go to the bathroom and wash my face with cold water.
17
It helps me feel more awake.
18
Then, I brush my teeth and take a quick shower.
19
I don't usually take a long shower in the morning because I like to save time.
20
After my shower, I dry my hair and get dressed.
21
Before choosing my clothes, I usually check the weather.
22
If it is cold, I wear something warm.
23
But if the weather is nice,
24
I choose something lighter and more comfortable.
25
Once I'm dressed, I go to the kitchen and make myself a drink.
26
I usually have tea or coffee in the morning.
27
While I'm preparing it, I sometimes open the window and enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
28
Tell me in the comments what is your daily routine.
29
I will check all of them.
30
Then I prefer my breakfast i don't always eat the same thing
31
but i usually have something simple such as eggs bread cheese fruit
32
or yogurt i sit down and eat slowly instead of eating
33
in a hurry while i'm having breakfast i sometimes listen to a short podcast
34
or watch a few minutes of an english video i don't
35
try to study too much at this time i just want to start my morning
36
in a calm way when i finish breakfast i wash the dishes and clean the kitchen i put everything
37
back in its place and wipe the kitchen counter if it is dirty i like starting my work day
38
with a clean space
39
because it helps me feel more focused before I start
40
working I take a quick look at my plans I check my calendar again
41
and decide what I need to do first
42
if i have a lot of work i make a short list
43
so i don't forget anything important then i sit at my desk
44
and turn on my computer i check my emails
45
and messages and answer the ones
46
that need an immediate reply i try not to spend too much time on social media because it can easily
47
distract me after that i start my most important task of the day i usually try to do difficult
48
or important work in the morning because I have more energy and can concentrate better.
49
I normally work for a while without checking my phone.
50
if i have a lot of things to do i divide
51
my work into smaller tasks this makes everything feel easier and helps me stay motivated
52
After working for some time, I take a short break.
53
I stand up, walk around the room,
54
stretch my arms and legs and drink some water.
55
Sometimes I look out of the window for a few minutes just to give my eyes a rest.
56
Then I go back to my desk and continue working.
57
I may write something, prepare a lesson,
58
answer messages, or organize my plans.
59
I try to finish one task before moving on to another one.
60
Around midday, I usually stop working for lunch.
61
Before eating, I take a few minutes to clean my desk and close the programs I don't need.
62
Then I prefer my lunch or choose something simple to eat.
63
After lunch, I usually make another cup of tea or coffee.
64
I don't like going back to work immediately after eating,
65
so I give myself a little time to relax.
66
Sometimes I take a short walk after lunch.
67
Even a 10-minute walk helps me feel more energetic.
68
If I don't have time to go outside, I simply walk around the house and stretch a little.
69
When I come back, I check my plans again and continue with my afternoon work.
70
At this point, I may have less energy than I had in the morning,
71
so I usually do easier tasks first.
72
I answer more messages, check my emails,
73
organize files and finish anything that I didn't complete earlier.
74
I also make notes about the things I need to do the next day.
75
when i finish my main work i close my computer
76
and leave my desk i try to make a clear difference between work time
77
and personal time even if i work from home i don't want to feel like i'm working all day.
78
In the late afternoon, I usually have some free time.
79
Sometimes I meet a friend, go shopping, run a few rounds,
80
or simply stay at home and relax.
81
If I stay at home,
82
I may make another drink and spend some time watching a video or listening to music.
83
Sometimes I also read a few pages of a book.
84
Before dinner, I usually tidy up the house.
85
I put things back where they belong, clean anything that needs cleaning,
86
and prepare the kitchen for dinner.
87
Then I make dinner.
88
I don't always cook something complicated.
89
On busy days, I prefer a quick and easy meal.
90
While I'm cooking, I usually listen to music.
91
Or sometimes I prefer to listen to different podcasts.
92
After dinner, I clean the dishes and put the leftovers in the fridge.
93
Then I make myself a cup of herbal tea and sit somewhere comfortable.
94
The evening is usually the quietest part of my day.
95
I like having some time when I don't have to work
96
or think about my plans sometimes I watch a movie
97
or a series
98
and sometimes I simply talked to someone I also try to
99
spend some time away from my phone I may leave it in another room for a while
100
and enjoy some quiet time before going to bed I take
101
a quick look at my plans for the next day I check if I have any important appointments or tasks.
102
If something is important, I write it down so I don't have to keep thinking about it.
103
Then I go to the bathroom, wash my face, brush my teeth, and change into my pajamas.
104
I usually
105
make sure everything is ready for the morning such as my clothes my bag
106
or anything else I need
107
and finally I get into bed sometimes I read for
108
a few minutes before sleeping reading helps me slow down and forget about the busy parts of the day.
109
I usually turn off the lights and put my phone away.
110
I take a few deep breaths and think about my day.
111
I don't try to make every day perfect.
112
Some days are productive and some days are more difficult.
113
But I always try to do my best.
114
For me, having a routine doesn't mean doing exactly the same thing every day.
115
It simply means having a few habits that make my day easier and more organized.
116
And that's what a normal day looks like for me.
117
From the moment I wake up in the morning until I finally go to sleep at night.
118
thank you for watching me this was a little different from other daily routine
