1
Are you ready to learn some real life English?
2
Well good, because today we are going to learn some English in real life.
3
We are exploring beautiful nature and a beach town with multi-million dollar houses and millions of dollars of yachts,
4
which are just fancy boats.
5
Let's go.
6
Alright guys, thank you for joining us on another real life English adventure.
7
Today we are once again going out into the real world to learn some what wife?
8
Real life English.
9
And guys, today we are doing something that we call here a road trip.
10
Now this is a mini road trip,
11
but a road trip is when you,
12
your family, your friends get in a car,
13
you drive somewhere cool, you have some fun.
14
So today, my beautiful camera wife and I are going on a mini road trip,
15
and we're doing something that we call a work date.
16
And we call it a work date because it's fun for us,
17
but we're also making content for the YouTube channel.
18
So we're working while we're spending time together and enjoying it,
19
but also making a little bit of money.
20
So guys today we are driving to the state that is next to the state we live in.
21
We live in Indiana and we are driving to Michigan.
22
Michigan is a beautiful state guys and in my opinion that's one of the coolest things about being in the United States.
23
There's basically like having different countries all around you.
24
It's like being in Europe how you could get from France to Italy to Germany fairly easily.
25
Here we have a bunch of different states and today my wife
26
and I are going to explore a little town in the state of Michigan and this town is called New Buffalo.
27
We're going to show you this town which is on Lake Michigan.
28
It's a beautiful town.
29
We're going to see what fun things they have to do there
30
and we're going to show you guys some interesting things about Michigan
31
that I do not like and we're going to show you the things about Michigan that I do like.
32
So our first stop is one of the things I love about Michigan.
33
Beautiful nature.
34
Alright, now one of the things I do not like about Michigan is a law.
35
Okay, something they've done recently in the last couple years that I do not think is a good thing.
36
What is this?
37
They have made marijuana legal in Michigan.
38
Okay, smoking marijuana is legal in Michigan and they have these stores that you can buy it in.
39
Okay?
40
Now, I don't like this because I think it makes people lazy,
41
and I just don't think it does anything good for people.
42
That's my personal opinion.
43
If you like it, I don't judge you.
44
I think we all have the right to decide what we do with our time,
45
but I don't like it that it's so out in the open in Michigan.
46
For example, when you're driving to Michigan there are signs everywhere on the highway for marijuana like these.
47
Here is a sign for a marijuana store.
48
30% off of marijuana.
49
Here is another sign for a marijuana store.
50
Another one.
51
Yeah.
52
And another sign for a marijuana store.
53
Largest inventory in New Buffalo it says.
54
Wow.
55
Wow, congratulations.
56
And guess what guys?
57
What could this be for?
58
Oh, yeah, more marijuana.
59
And then over on the other side of the road,
60
that one's for a bar,
61
but over here, Deli Flower.
62
Another sign for a marijuana store
63
and they will give you a half ounce of marijuana for one penny to the first 300 customers.
64
Wow, thanks for giving all that drugs to people.
65
Here is another marijuana store.
66
Mint cannabis.
67
Oh, and another herb cannabis.
68
Oh, what's that next sign?
69
Another marijuana store and the one after that?
70
Oh, well, maybe it's a restaurant.
71
No, another marijuana store where they give a free ounce of marijuana every day.
72
Thanks guys for contributing to society.
73
That, my friends, is a lot of money in advertisement trying to get people to come and buy drugs.
74
Alright guys and you can see welcome to Pure Michigan.
75
Every time you drive into a new state here in the U.S there's a big sign like
76
that letting you know when you cross over the border.
77
We're about five minutes away from the park we're going to.
78
I've never been here before but I hope we can show you guys some beautiful nature.
79
See you in a bit.
80
Alright guys we made it to our first destination which is a park that's supposed to have a very beautiful view.
81
So let me show you guys my favorite thing about Michigan which is the nature.
82
Let's go check it out.
83
So what do you think about the place so far?
84
So guys Michigan is where I went camping
85
in that other video a couple weeks back
86
and you can just see how deep and thick the forest is here
87
and that's why they call it pure Michigan on the sign because it's like pure untouched nature and
88
That's what I really love about this state.
89
Guys, it's just, it's gorgeous, natural.
90
There's not garbage all over the place.
91
And the people of Michigan are really proud of that,
92
so they take good care of it.
93
Alright guys, we've only been walking for just a few minutes
94
and we've already reached an absolutely beautiful spot with an incredible view.
95
Wow!
96
I've never been here but I'm happy we came now.
97
We've got a beautiful view of the river.
98
We've got some beautiful houses that I bet cost a million or two dollars.
99
Absolutely beautiful.
100
So peaceful.
101
This is my favorite thing about Michigan.
102
So much beautiful land, clean, fresh air.
103
And this is just our first stop of the day on our little adventure road trip.
104
Also I have to show you guys how cute my wife looks today.
105
Hold on.
106
She's super pregnant and you can see our little babies in there.
107
Doesn't she look so sweet with her hat?
108
Aww, what a cute wife.
109
Interestingly there's a Euphos a
110
couple of the Delta Airฯƒ ...
111
Alright guys, you just saw we got an awesome shot of a beautiful bird with these bright orange and red feathers.
112
Just another part of the beautiful nature here.
113
Now that we've seen some beautiful nature guys we're going to check out the small town.
114
See if we can find some good food because I showed you guys how pregnant my beautiful wife is.
115
So we're going to see what the little city has to offer now that we've seen the beauty of the nature here.
116
Let's check it out.
117
I just want to say it feels like so peaceful and the weather is so perfect right now.
118
Like it's sunny but it doesn't feel like hot at all.
119
and we wait for this weather like so long and it just feels great it feels amazing I love it
120
it's so weird we think it's called a...
121
check mark check mark did you get it?
122
yeah
123
All right, guys, we're in the town, downtown of New Buffalo.
124
Peaceful, quiet, clean.
125
We're going to go get some pizza in a church,
126
but not really a church.
127
So, guys, from what I saw online,
128
this was a Civil War era
129
when people were fighting each other in the United States church that they later turned into a bar and grill,
130
which means they have alcohol and food.
131
Of course, we're not going to be getting alcohol,
132
but online they say they have incredible pizzas.
133
Let's go check it out.
134
See it good?
135
Okay guys, and here we are at what is called a marina,
136
which is where people keep their boats now as you can imagine
137
if you have a boat
138
and you pay to keep it in a nice place like this you've got some money
139
and for that reason there's also luxury apartments here
140
which you can see right there they are absolutely gorgeous now
141
those are nice apartments those are nothing like what we showed
142
in the poor america video this is where people in the u.s with money live places like this clean, peaceful, beautiful.
143
Each apartment has its own garage to pull their cars in.
144
There's a fence around the whole property so that nobody can go in and bother you.
145
Wow, beautiful.
146
Let's check around the marina a little more.
147
Okay, guys, now if you were thinking,
148
wow, how much money would somebody need to live in one of those nice apartments?
149
Imagine how much money you need to live in that house right by the beach.
150
Park your boat.
151
That looks like it has probably 15 bedrooms in that house.
152
That is a multi multi-million dollar home.
153
You see all the boats here.
154
Nothing but luxury apartments.
155
This is how the wealthy people live in the state of Michigan.
156
And you can tell when you're here.
157
Everybody here is relaxed.
158
They're not worried about paying their bills.
159
My wife said wow there's a lot of bars and grills yeah
160
because these people are happy they want to meet up with
161
their friends have a couple drinks chill as we might say
162
which means to relax with your friends or hang out
163
but yeah guys a lot of money here
164
so guys we were looking at the other side of
165
that big home but over here you could see they literally pull up their boat to their house
166
and park it right there that guy's backyard is lake michigan wow wow look at all these boats guys
167
millions
168
and millions of dollars worth of boats here would you like
169
to live here baby yeah can you swim good i don't
170
think she can guys i have a story about her swimming but i i won't tell it
171
all right guys and this is what we call in english a lighthouse
172
which they put near the water so that ships can see at night
173
and not crash into the land but i think this one's just a decoration
174
but anyway it's still a good piece of vocabulary that's a lighthouse it's very fancy
175
all right guys and here we are at the actual beach something
176
that the lovely camera wife and i both notice right away is why is it
177
so quiet why are there so few people
178
because at the beach in indiana it's people screaming playing music
179
so full listen guys just listen wind birds people are being good here they're just relaxing i don't know what
180
that difference is why everybody here is just chilling
181
but it's super quiet nice and peaceful very beautiful i think i need to find my wife some ice cream
182
Show me your ice cream.
183
Now you didn't smile.
184
Alright guys, we're just driving through here.
185
Where you can see, this is a private community.
186
So, these are some very expensive beach houses.
187
And you can see over on this side that each beach,
188
or each house, its backyards directly on the beach beach
189
so a house like
190
that super expensive people who live in places like this big money big big big money
191
and you know the houses are nice but the thing about it is
192
that they are on the beach so it's the land
193
that is worth so much money this one here some beautiful homes check out this wow
194
that is a nice big house what that sign means guys poor people keep out Okay guys,
195
and we're about to end this trip, go home and relax.
196
The last thing I wanted to show you is what one of these marijuana stores looks like.
197
And over there you can see it's actually literally a store where you can walk in there and buy marijuana.
198
Thanks for joining us guys.
199
Tell me in the comments,
200
do you think that should be legal?
201
I really don't.
202
Alright, see you guys in the next video.

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud โ€” like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1โ€“2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency โ€” making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
