Preserving heritage is not just about safeguarding history.

It's about making those ancient values truly come alive for the modern public.

Thanks to a recent diplomatic and academic partnership between Vietnam and France,

a new digital platform named the Hanoi Heritage Tourism Journey has just been launched.

Now, with a quick QR scan on smartphones, tourists can explore 28 of the capital's signature sites in various languages.

Let's follow our reporter to experience this platform.

From the four sacred temples of Thang Lam and Mother Goddess temples to ancient pagodas and ancestral craft communal houses.

With just a QR code scan on a smartphone, visitors can explore 28 outstanding heritage sites in Hanoi.

These sites are linked into four tour routes on a single digital platform named Hanoi Heritage Tourism Journey.

42 44 Hangback Street is one of the major centres for the worship of the founders of the silversmithing craft.

Thanks to this QR code, barriers of distance and language disappear entirely.

Audio guidance, it gives so much more information so the temple becomes more vivid,

well, more life and I saw the other ones because I can now visit more than I used to know.

So it's very important and very easy.

Beyond just audio guides, this website integrates the historical background of the site's past and present photos and route guiding maps.

The platform features three distinct layers of content, basic overviews for general tourists,

mid -level details for student educational activities, and in -depth archival data for local and international scholars.

We have thoroughly loved the program we just did together, so much so

that we will include

it in the support fund of the French Institute's cooperation agency within the framework of a multi -year program

that we will build on a national scale.

In the immediate term, the department is coordinating with local authorities to install QR signage at all target sites.

The platform will integrate directly with the Hanoi Tourism Portal and the iHanoi app.

Starting from these QR codes, the project serves as a vivid testament to the deep and effective friendship between Vietnam and France,

while simultaneously opening up new connections between younger generation and Hanoi's thousand -year -old heritage.

Now talking about cultural heritage, I believe that folk stories have a spectacular space in our lives,

which is passing down through the cultural values and life lessons, and that through the engaging or storytelling.

I mean, at some stage of our lives, we have heard about these folk tales, and their value actually goes beyond the borders,

as many folk stories are still waiting to be discovered by local audiences.

With arts and a little bit of creativity, that opportunity may be closer than you think.

For the first time, Vietnamese folk tales were translated and introduced to international audiences through an exhibition in the UK.

Combining traditional tales with vivid illustrations, offering a new way to discover Vietnamese folklore, it attracted 15 ,000 visitors.

I loved seeing the exhibition today

and I really liked reading all of the little stories and then to see them in painting as well.

It's just, wow, it was just a great combination.

After attracting widespread interest in the UK, the exhibition has returned to Vietnam.

It is part of a cultural exchange series marking the release of a treasury of Vietnamese folktales by UK publisher Major Books.

Featuring 40 paintings by artist

Jet Dung, the exhibition brings 11 folk tales to life,

inviting both Vietnamese and international audiences into an enchanted realm of Vietnamese folklore.

This project came at the perfect time, as I was exploring ceramic glazes and lacquer.

Meanwhile, washi paper absorbs color easily creating unpredictable shapes.

I may have a folk tale in mind, but as I wet the paper and apply color, the painting sometimes seems to choose another story.

Through this ongoing dialogue with the tales, I create illustrations whose beauty surprises even me.

I was particularly struck by the painting of Mother Goddess Liu Han.

Gold pigments evoke the traditional use of bread lakka and gold leaf in places of worship.

The artist's extensive research is evident in the way he captures her spirit.

The book's publication and the exhibition's growing reach reflect three years of sustained effort by Major Books,

an independent publisher founded by two Vietnamese people in the UK.

People have always seen us through the lens of war and tourism, whereas Vietnam has so much more to offer.

To be able to showcase to the world all the facets of our culture is what we're really trying to do.

Through art, Vietnamese folktales are finding new ways to reach audiences across generations and cultures.

This new approach helps showcase Vietnam's cultural heritage and take it to a wider global audience.

For Vietnamese, the outside has always embodied our culture, roots and national pride.

A community of Vietnamese expats in Sydney, Australia, took out a street parade, their first ever last weekend.

And these landmark events sought to connect all generations of Vietnamese living in Australia and celebrate their shared cultural identity.

For the first time, Aosai, the Vietnamese traditional dress, comes to the streets of Australia.

The parade showcases different styles of Aosai in different times.

With the participation of people of all ages, the parade poster the national pride in Vietnamese culture.

Everyone came to the parade with a different story.

But once dressed in the ảo dai, the most evident emotions were joy and pride.

When I wore this ảo dai for a stroll around

Bang's town, I felt so excited.

It's like wearing our culture and heritage.

As we walked, friends from other countries said hello in Vietnamese.

I was filled with joy and immense pride.

My dedication stems from a desire to introduce the Vietnamese ao dai to friends across the globe.

I also want to help young people growing up in Australia recognize it as our traditional dress, deeply imbued with our homeland,

our love for the country, and our roots.

I felt so happy seeing our children wearing the traditional Vietnamese ao dai, walking like that.

It was so endearing, and it helps them understand our Vietnamese culture.

The Ao Dai is always truly wonderful.

The Ao Dai Parade was part of the Viet Seoul III Festival, a community program celebrating Vietnamese culture

and heritage organized by the Vietnam -Australia Cultural Exchange Organization with the support of the Australian government.

Our traditional dress is something we always take pride in wearing.

We know that where the culture endures, the nation endures.

Therefore, our current mission is to run programs that bring culture broadly to the diaspora, especially to the second, third and fourth generations.

It will help our children understand that our culture is always carried within every Vietnamese person.

The colorful ao dai became a special highlight on the streets of Australia.

It served as a clear testament to the spirit of Resolution 23 of 2026 on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs,

which considers the overseas Vietnamese community not only a strategic resource,

but also important cultural ambassadors who connect the homeland with the international community.
