Phonics in English with Crew Tim Hi everyone, welcome back.

Today we're going to do Jolly Phonics workbook number 2,

pages 17 and 18.

This one's going to be a little tricky today.

We're going to do a project.

If you are using the PDF,

you need to print out page 17 and 18 with 17 on one side and 18 on the other side.

Like this.

Mine's already colored, but you'll color yours.

If you're in the workbook, you should already have it like that.

So go ahead, color your pages, make them look like this,

and then we'll walk through on how to put our little booklet together.

Go ahead and color your pages.

Okay let's go ahead and look at our instructions here on page 17.

The little number 2 up there for our little booklet.

To make this book, cut along the lines.

So you see the two dotted lines right here?

We need to cut on these lines.

So we need to cut down and then cut across.

You should have the front and back.

So you should have page 17 on the front and on the back you should have page 18.

Once we do that we cut the lines and it says put one half on top of the other.

Make sure that after you cut the page in half

that the page with says number four and number five goes on top of page two and seven

before we move on to the next step. And fold in half.

If you do that, you should have what looks like this.

Now that you have your picture colored, Your page cut out, cut in half, and your book folded.

You can put a couple staples in it if you want.

Red Hen We already did the page number two there on how to make the book,

so let's go to page number three and read that.

Red hen sits on a nest.

Red hen pecks at a sack.

A cat and a kitten.

Red hen has hidden in the sack.

Kitten pats the sack.

Scruff, scruff, scruff.

Rats!

Red Hen is back on the nest.
