1
If I had two minutes to speak to the whole world, what I would say is, all you need is a pen and a notebook to completely change your life.
2
Because with these two things, you can figure out exactly how to get from who you are now to the person you want to become.
3
Imagine that behind this door is the life you actually want.
4
and walking out of it is the future version of you who built that life.
5
What do they look like?
6
Are they happier?
7
More charismatic?
8
More successful?
9
Now imagine they reach their hand out to you, inviting you into the life you've been imagining.
10
How do you reach back, take their hand, and actually become the person you've always dreamed of?
11
Open your notebook to a blank page and write down those traits you just imagined.
12
Then, underneath each one, write down the small, everyday behaviors that person actually does.
13
If they're charismatic, they start conversations.
14
If they're healthy, they go for a run.
15
If they're successful, they send the email.
16
Here's what most people miss.
17
We like to picture our future selves based on their accomplishments, what they've achieved.
18
But accomplishments only describe where they ended up, not how they got there.
19
So take the person you want to become, and break them down into the daily actions required to achieve that future version of yourself.
20
That's how you close the gap between who you are today and the person that you actually want to become.
