And so when the scripture speaks of God being given authority,

it's not speaking of it in the sense that he's being given authority as a divine being,

but it's speaking of his earthly ministry.

Okay, perfect but if you believe that Jesus is the Son who is also a divine person within the Trinity,

then what's the significance of the Father giving the authority and him having to receive it from the Father?

If he was a divine person who inherently possessed authority on his own,

and you obviously believe that Jesus had the hypostatic union,

he had the divine essence whilst he was a person.

If it's the case that he possessed the divine essence,

which inherently has authority, then there would be no need for him to receive authority from the Father

because he He already has the divine essence that possesses authority.

So to me, it just seems indicative of Jesus making it very clear

that he needs to receive things from the only true God,

who he also talks about in John 17,

verse 3, when he addresses the Father as the only true God.

So Jesus, obviously, according to you,

you believe that God is the Lord of all flesh and so on and so forth.

And if Jesus comes down and he humbles himself,

he receives the authority from the Father,

the power from the Father,

not because he's necessarily deficient,

but because he humbled himself.

There is no significance of him receiving that from the father

to me It kind of just seems like an evasion from the point

that is he needed to receive authority from the father He does nothing except

He didn't need to receive authority Philippians 2 tells us

that Jesus being equal to God did not think of it as robbery,

but he made himself of no reputation He came in the appearance of man.

So he humbled himself in a way that would be relatable to his creation.

he received authority as an old and a humble service to the father.

And I don't see a contradiction or issue with that.
