Today we get to experience the Xiaomi SkyNorma N90's studio version.

As you can see, it has a roof extension.

It sleeps four people quite comfortably.

And you would think a roof mechanism this elaborate, this complex, should destroy this car's NVH.

as we've showed you the Ford Bronco plug-in hybrid has a much less complicated roof mechanism than this but that car leaks.

The NVH negative impact this roof has done to this car is like that small.

I've already done a static and dynamic review of the normal version of the N90

so for the most part this is the same as that.

I'll only explain what's different with the studio version.

First thing you may have already noticed, this, unlike the N90 Max, is not a 223 seating configuration.

This is just a five-seater.

This does not have a third row.

You might think, what's the point of a 5.28 meter long five-seater?

Isn't that quite pointless?

Well, don't just jump to conclusion that quickly.

Second option is, instead of a top-mounted display, this has a 30-inch projector screen.

And of course this seat is on the same long rail system as the three row version.

This screen is really too much for me to, too big for me to watch this closely.

So I'll just slide back.

The major weakness of a projector in a car compared to a normal display is brightness.

Currently, it's 2.53pm, peak brightness, and the car is parked towards the sun.

So this is almost its worst case scenario you cannot get a brighter outer environment than we are experiencing today.

And it's still usable.

I mean, we'll show you some B-roll footage.

To watch video in this, I will say, under this kind of ambient lighting conditions,

I think a normal display beats this because it's that much brighter.

But any other weather condition, any condition that's not direct sunlight that's this strong, I think this will hide the edge,

especially towards when you go into the evening, when you lose the ambient lighting, this is that much bigger than a 21 inch top mounted display.

The seat is going to move forward, the headrest is retracting.

I will say this music is too loud.

Some people told me you can adjust this by scrolling on the steering wheel.

This is way too loud.

And the seat cushion, the back end of the seat cushion is rising up.

Now I'm 5'11", I think this bed, the length is 6'1".

but what's not normal is if you look here

they have storage built in for this bed and

if you're wondering what is this it's It's a vanity with soft lighting around it.

I mean, I'm already kind of lost for words.

I'm a firm believer of what is wrong with a hotel room, but you have to give Xiaomi credit.

I mean, this is something else.

Now, of course you might ask what kind of bedroom it would be without heated floor.

This car has PTC heated floor.

Now, let me just show you the second bed that's built into this car.

For this, I need to pop this out and step outside.

Just watch the roof, okay?

I mean, I know this version exists.

I thought I could just get away with allocating half an hour for this, but I ended up deciding to shoot a standalone video because you will see in a minute,

that in terms of engineering of this roof integration into the whole car Xiaomi has done the near impossible

that the NVH impact of adding this roof on top of this massive SUV, the NVH impact is very very small.

I mean all of the car to car shots you've seen in this video I was driving

and I was driving back to back between this and the normal the white N90 Max.

If you really look for it there is a little bit of extra wind noise from the top

but it's not a leak.

You just notice this extra structure there

and i will say it's already better than 99 of the

aftermarket roof rack system you could be forgiven for thinking
