1
If you make the changes I'm about to show you right now, I promise you that your views are going to double.
2
You see, there was a change in the algorithm.
3
There was a change of how YouTube rewards you as a creator.
4
And right now, every YouTube coach is telling you to go crazy on shorts or to post longer videos or, you know, your title, your thumbnail,
5
the same basic shit as always.
6
But this video has nothing to do with that.
7
The new sauce has to do with something called OTT.
8
Now, before we start, if you don't know who I am, my name is Romero.
9
I've been running faceless YouTube channels since 2018.
10
Since then I've gotten hundreds of millions of views and I've made over two million dollars in just YouTube ad revenue.
11
That's like the only interesting thing about me.
12
Anyways you see when when TikTok blew up every company was like wow we need to do the same thing.
13
YouTube dropped shorts, Instagram dropped reels, Snapchat was doing whatever they were doing.
14
I think shows whatever and they were all fighting to get the most viewers in their short form content.
15
Well that war ended.
16
Nowadays every single application has short form content.
17
Now the next thing that YouTube is trying to go for is your living room, right?
18
They want to go on your TV.
19
Now, I know what you're thinking.
20
Who the fuck actually watches YouTube on TV?
21
That's strange, right?
22
That's weird.
23
At least to me, it's super strange.
24
I only watch YouTube on my phone.
25
But in February of 2025, the CEO of YouTube sent out a letter showing the numbers,
26
and he said that the majority of YouTube viewers watch YouTube on their TV and not on their phones.
27
So I guess I'm the weird one.
28
And in July of this year, Nielsen put out their numbers
29
and apparently 14 .2 % of TV viewers in the United States are watching YouTube on their televisions.
30
Anyways, not the point.
31
This is why you and I should give a shit.
32
Number one, if the majority of your viewers come from TV, that means that they get higher quality ads,
33
which means you get paid more per 1000 views.
34
And the reason for that is because YouTube cannot play low quality ads on TV.
35
There's a bunch of regulations and rules for advertisers to run ads on televisions, meaning that your viewers are going to get ads from Toyota,
36
Ford, insurance companies, Walmart, all of the good shit.
37
And the majority of viewers on your phone are going to get those weird AI ads that are literally everywhere.
38
Now, if you haven't connected the dots yet, earlier this year, YouTube dropped something called shows.
39
YouTuber shows, creator shows, something like that.
40
I think it was creator shows.
41
Now, when they presented this idea, it was a literal pitch to advertisers saying that,
42
hey, your ads are not going to appear in like these viral videos.
43
They're going to appear on creator shows where all of these YouTube channels can now appear as TV shows meaning
44
that advertisers are now going to have to pay big bucks to appear on creator shows.
45
Now, here's the thing that nobody knew about, and this was kind of a secret sauce.
46
OTT means over the top, right?
47
Which is essentially like Netflix.
48
That's an OTT.
49
Hulu is an OTT.
50
Tubi, Pluto, all of those random things that you see when you first buy a TV.
51
Right now, if you go to Walmart and you pick out a TV, it's going to have all of these apps downloaded.
52
Those are OTTs and some of these are free.
53
For example, Mr. Beast is on all of these.
54
He appears as a TV channel and all it is is his videos on loop 24 -7.
55
So what YouTube is trying to do is with YouTube TV,
56
their own OTT, they're literally begging us to set up our YouTube channels as TV shows.
57
Now, for those of you that are curious, because that's the first thing I asked myself a long time ago.
58
Yes, you can reach out to a few companies right now,
59
for example, Vimeo, and they'll give you a TV channel so you can just loop all of your YouTube videos.
60
Now, of course, there's a lot of requirements for this.
61
It's a whole thing.
62
But now technically you don't have to.
63
Not if you're posting all of your content on YouTube.
64
But anyways, yeah, I feel like I feel like I'm dragging this.
65
The sauce is to use the playlist and shows feature on YouTube.
66
And I'm going to show you how to do that.
67
This is how you want to set it up right now.
68
First thing, you're going to go to YouTube.
69
No shit.
70
And then you're going to click on your profile picture.
71
Go to YouTube Studio then from here you're going to go to content
72
you're going to click at the top over here where it says playlists
73
and then you're going to create a playlist
74
you're gonna give it a title for mine I'm just going to name it testing I'm going to click create
75
and it's immediately going to bring me within
76
that playlist well from here I'm gonna click on details
77
then I'm gonna go to the top right click on these three little dots
78
and then I'm gonna click add show features
79
and here's the features appear as a show on YouTube support seasons and to show artwork.
80
Ain't that about a bitch, right?
81
So we're going to click OK.
82
And then from here, it's going to ask us to create artwork, which I do not have prepared.
83
I'm just not going to add it, but you want to have this.
84
Now for the artwork, just think of it as Netflix, right?
85
When you're scrolling through all of the TV shows and movies, they all have a little thumbnail there.
86
Just make something similar.
87
Now it's going to ask you show structure.
88
You can change this setting later.
89
Non -serial, most common episodes can be watched in any order and are listed newest to oldest, which you should be doing.
90
Serial episodes are intended to be watched in sequential order and are listed oldest to newest.
91
Now, I do not know if there is a huge algorithmic or view difference between these two, but you could test it out on your own.
92
I just go with non -serial and boom, just like that, we got it.
93
Now, as you can see, now there's a new button that says shows.
94
If you click on that, it's going to take you to the playlist.
95
Pretty cool, right?
96
Now, you're probably thinking, okay, well, how do I structure my content?
97
Well, let me show you an example.
98
If I go over to videos, you can see all of my videos.
99
Now, this is a celebrity news faceless YouTube channel.
100
How the fuck am I going to set this up?
101
Well, it's easy.
102
I'm going to go based on what I post the most.
103
For example, if I go to my filters and I search up
104
Blake Lively, because I've posted a lot of videos about her, I'm going to get all of the videos of Blake Lively that I've posted,
105
which is a total of 15.
106
And then I'm going to click add to playlist.
107
I'm going to click on the testing which is the show one
108
and then I'm going to click on save and
109
if I go back to shows you can see
110
that it says season one there's 15 episodes aka 15 videos
111
and it's all about Blake Lively
112
so let me actually just do this the drama of Blake Lively
113
and there we go that's the title
114
now the next step is to go over to customization still on YouTube studio then click on home tab
115
and then from here where it says layouts
116
I'm gonna click on add section then I'm gonna go to single playlist then I'm gonna click on
117
that playlist I literally just made now as you can see it appears here at the bottom
118
if I hover over these two lines I click
119
and I drag up I can move
120
it up on how it appears on my YouTube page now here are the pros of this
121
if someone was to click on your video no matter where they came from
122
and that video belongs to a show slash playlist.
123
That means that on every single device, TV, phone, and laptop, the normal default recommendation feed is going to be hidden.
124
For example, on the laptop, you can see that big box that hides the actual recommendation feed.
125
I'd have to scroll down.
126
Now on a TV, when they click down from your video to select another one,
127
the first horizontal line of recommendations are going to be videos within that show.
128
The other benefit of doing this again is RPM.
129
You're going to be making more per 1000 views.
130
And finally, the third benefit.
131
When you create a playlist show, you are now telling the YouTube algorithm exactly which of your videos belong with each other.
132
You're telling it what your videos are about, meaning that it has to do less work,
133
meaning that it knows who my audience is and it knows who to recommend my content to, aka my competitors.
134
And the more shows you create and update, the better this is going to get.
135
The hardest part when starting a YouTube channel is having YouTube understand what your content is about, who your audience is.
136
But if you set it up as a show and you make videos back to back that are very similar, you're going to win, right?
137
For example, if I had a car channel and I posted a video titled the best cars of the 1970s, and let's say that performed well,
138
I would create a show about that.
139
And my next video would be the best cars of the 1980s.
140
Then I would create another one titled the best cars of the 1990s.
141
And I would continue making this a seasonal thing, kind of like a TV show.
142
So when YouTube finds a viewer that loves watching content about cars, he's going to recommend my season and be like, hey, look at this.
143
There's a shit ton of content here for you.
144
Just sit back on your couch and enjoy.
145
Now, the reason this works well is because people don't notice that they're watching a season or a show or a playlist.
146
So in their recommendation, it's gonna be like the perfect follow -up.
147
For example, this YouTube channel, mine, I could make a video tutorial like how to edit with CapCut.
148
That'd be episode one of my new season.
149
Episode two would be how to add sound effects with CapCut.
150
Episode three would be how to color grade with CapCut.
151
And for someone that's looking for tutorials and continuation to what they're trying to learn, it's naturally going to trickle down views.
152
But anyways, if you're someone that is serious about YouTube and you want to make this your career,
153
you can click the link in the description of this video
154
and in the pinned comment that's going to take you to my school community.
155
This is where you can find over 140 YouTube tutorials where
156
I show you exactly how I made over $2 million with my YouTube channel.
157
I also go live every single Sunday where I speak with you guys directly, answer any questions, review your channels, all that good stuff.
158
But the cool part is that I drop clod scales for things like this.
159
For example, in the community, you can find clod scales that will review all of your content
160
and give you recommendations on how to make these shows and what the order should be in.
161
It's going to review the titles and thumbnails of each one of your videos
162
and it's also going to go through every single script so it makes sure that it organizes it in the best way.
163
Again these skills can only be found in the school community, link in the description and pinned comment.
164
And that's about it.
165
You have a good day.
