Welcome back to our shadowing practice series.
2
If you haven't watched my video shadowing English practice, how to do it properly, you'll find the link in the top right corner.
3
In that video, I explain how shadowing works, how to structure your practice.
4
This video is your practical session.
5
Today's practice will take about 10 minutes, and remember shadowing only works if you do it consistently.
6
I suggest repeating this video every day for a few days or even longer.
7
Practice it as many times as you need until you feel comfortable and confident talking.
8
Repetition builds fluency.
9
Here's how we are going to practice today.
10
First, you listen carefully second you'll repeat phrases
11
and short chunks with pauses third you'll shadow with me at a natural speed
12
and finally you'll personalize you at the text
13
and speak about your own life about your English journey using
14
the same structure that's how you move from copying to speaking naturally Let's begin.
15
Before you begin speaking, take a moment to just listen.
16
Listen once, maybe twice.
17
Focus on understanding the meaning, the situation, and the feeling behind the sentences.
18
Shadowing is only effective when you understand what you are saying.
19
If you simply repeat sounds without meaning, it doesn't help.
20
It's just noise.
21
So first, make sure the message is clear to you.
22
Take your time.
23
If you need support, turn on subtitles to check your understanding.
24
And once you feel ready, we'll move on to speaking.
25
Let's get started!
26
Sometimes people ask me, how is your English learning going?
27
And honestly, I can say, it's going well.
28
Not perfectly, not magically, but steadily.
29
If I look back, I can see how far I've come.
30
I can clearly see progress.
31
I understand more, I speak more freely, I don't panic as much when I can't find the right word.
32
There are still moments when I struggle, of course.
33
Sometimes I feel slow, sometimes I feel like I should be better by now.
34
But then I remind myself, learning a language is a long -term process.
35
And the fact that I'm still showing up matters.
36
I realize that consistency is more important than motivation.
37
I don't always feel inspired, but I practice anyway.
38
Even 10 or 15 minutes a day makes a difference.
39
Shadowing has really helped me.
40
Repeating phrases out loud has made my speech smoother.
41
I don't translated every word like I used to.
42
Sometimes sentences just come out naturally now and that feels amazing.
43
Listening regularly has also changed a lot for me.
44
At first I needed subtitles all the time.
45
Now I can follow conversations without understanding every single word and I'm okay with that.
46
I've also learned to be patient with myself.
47
There was a time when I was afraid of making mistakes.
48
I wanted my English to sound perfect before I opened my mouth.
49
But now I understand.
50
Mistakes are part of learning.
51
Actually, every mistake means I'm trying.
52
I've noticed small improvements that feel big to me.
53
I can explain my ideas more clearly.
54
I can talk about my opinions in more detail.
55
I feel more comfortable in conversations.
56
And maybe the most important thing, I'm less afraid.
57
There was a time when speaking English felt stressful.
58
Now it feels more natural.
59
Not always easy, but manageable.
60
The strategies I use are working.
61
Short daily practice works.
62
Speaking out loud works.
63
Repeating patterns works.
64
Staying consistent works.
65
i don't need perfect grammar to communicate i don't need a perfect accent to be understood
66
i just need clarity and confidence and both i'm proving some days are better than others
67
that's normal progress isn't a straight line but overall i'm moving forward and i'm proud of that
68
Learning English has opened new opportunities for me.
69
It's connected me with new people.
70
It's given me more freedom.
71
So, when someone asks me, how is your English going?
72
I can honestly say, it's improving.
73
I'm improving.
74
And I'm not giving up.
75
That's what matters.
76
Now we'll practice step by step.
77
Repeat each sentence after me.
78
Start by listening to a short section, just one sentence or a small phrase.
79
Pause the video, say it out loud two or three times,
80
then press play and move to the next sentence.
81
If you need extra support, you can turn on subtitles to check that you understand everything clearly.
82
And when you repeat, don't focus only on the words themselves.
83
Pay attention to the stress, the way sounds connect to each other, the natural rhythm of the sentence.
84
Shadowing is not just about repeating vocabulary, it's about copying the flow and music of English.
85
Sometimes people ask me, how is your English learning going?
86
And honestly, I can say, it's going well.
87
Not perfectly, not magically, but steadily.
88
If I look back, I can see how far I've come, I can clearly see progress.
89
I understand more, I speak more freely.
90
I don't panic as much when I can't find the right word.
