2
and teach you English at a fast food restaurant.
3
Let's go!
4
Hi everyone, I'm Giovanna and I teach English in a creative way.
5
Today, I'll teach you English when ordering fast food and dining in at a fast food restaurant
6
The first thing you see is the counter.
7
So that is the counter where you order your food.
8
You can also see the menu That is the menu that shows the meals and promotions in an eye -catching way.
9
By eye -catching, I mean visually attractive.
10
You can choose to order either at the counter or at a self -service kiosk,
11
Well, This one doesn't have a self -service kiosk, As you can see in the picture, Bye!
12
It has the counter.
13
If you choose to order at the counter, you can use some chunks, such as Can I get...
14
in the name of the sandwich or drink Can I get a cheeseburger, please?
15
or I'll have a cheeseburger, please, in the name of the sandwich or drink.
16
I'll have A Coke.
17
I'll have a cheeseburger, I'll have a double -double,
18
and then you can actually insert the names according to the sandwiches that you are ordering at that moment
19
So there's a little self -checkout kiosk here.
20
That's why I'm gonna order at the counter.
21
So let's go and see how I order it.
22
It's the combo number one or number two.
23
Can I get combo number three?
24
- Number three?
25
- Sorry.
26
- In a Diet Coke, yeah.
27
So I ordered combo number one or just combo one that comes with a double double.
28
I'm so hungry, so I decided to order a Double Double.
29
So do you know what a double double is?
30
Actually, a Double Double is a sandwich that comes with toasted buns.
31
Yeah, toasted buns.
32
cheese slices and beef patties.
33
By potties, I mean, Burgers Americans usually refer to the word
34
Burgers as patties So it's going to be really common for you to hear the word patty
35
or patties in the plural when you come here to the United States.
36
We can also say, "I've placed an order." I've placed in order, we use the verb place with ardor.
37
So you can place an order or you can just say, I ordered a sandwich.
38
I'm gonna wait here until she calls my number.
39
Let me grab a table.
40
I'm gonna grab this table here. and enjoy.
41
- My double double.
42
Oh, I forgot the condiments.
43
Condiments are...
44
ketchup Mustard.
45
mayonnaise You know?
46
I'll have to go back to the counter and order condiments.
47
- Oh.
48
They gave me ketchup.
49
Amazing.
50
- Yeah.
51
I'm gonna tear it open.
52
We say, "tear it open." - and I'm gonna
53
put it on my double double.
54
I told you guys earlier that these are buns Yeah, buns.
55
Buns are softer than normal bread, but they're just bread, basically.
56
Those are called buns and buns are usually used for hamburgers, you know, sandwiches in general, and they're delicious.
57
When ordering, you can ask for extras.
58
for additional toppings, such as bacon, caramelized onions, Boiled eggs.
59
And coleslaw, for example, Wait!
60
Hey Emma, what exactly is cold cloth?
61
Coleslaw is a type of side dish consisting of sliced or chopped raw cabbage as you see in the picture.
