I'm going to go into what is FBM,

how to actually calculate FBM shipping,

and how to know if you can actually FBM a product in the first place.

FBM is great for beginners.

So let's dig in.

Starting off, what actually is FBM?

FBM stands for fulfillment by merchant,

shipping products directly to the customer individually.

It's a way of selling products on Amazon.

The other way being FBA fulfillment by Amazon,

where you ship items in bulk to the Amazon FBA warehouse,

the ones you see off the side of the highway,

and they handle the rest.

You can do FBA and FBM at the same time on the same Amazon seller account,

even on the same product.

And FBM is really good for beginners because FBM lets you test lighter

so you can buy less of products as well as fulfill items faster to customers.

Because when you FBA something,

typically you have to wait two or three weeks for it to actually check into Amazon.

You can place smaller orders as well because you don't need to fill an entire box to save money with bulk shipping.

You have faster cashflow.

So it scales super fast.

FBA makes a ton of sense on any type of seasonal products.

Think like Valentine's Day products during Valentine's Day or Easter products leading up to Easter,

Q4 and toy items during Q4,

the end of the year during the holiday season,

and stuff like back to school as well.

Also, when you FBM something,

you don't have FBA fees,

which means certain items are more profitable selling FBA compared to FBM.

So overall, FBM makes a ton of sense for beginners.

Let's talk about the shipping supplies you need.

So this is something I see a ton of beginners super confused about.

Luckily, there's only three that you need and there's no fancy labeling process or anything with FBM like there is with FBA.

The first shipping supply you're going to need for FBM is going to be shipping labels

that you can actually get completely free from the UPS website.

So all you guys need to do is Google UPS free shipping supplies

and you can go ahead and hit this link right here,

Then you can go here and get the free shipping labels that go on the outside of the polymailer or box.

There's no FN SKU labels or anything like that with FBM,

which is super convenient.

You do need those little FN SKU labels for FBA,

but you guys don't need to worry about that with FBM.

The next shipping supply you're going to need guys is going to be polymailers.

This is going to make a lot of sense for the types of products like clothing and stuff that's less fragile,

typically under one pound that can fit in a polymailer.

You can just get these from Amazon.

9x12 and 12x15 are two sizes I like for beginners,

but there's a variety of different sizes you can go ahead and use,

as well as for boxes.

I like getting them from Walmart or Uline.

You need to make sure you're using unbranded boxes though,

so it can't have any branding on it.

Home Depot, unfortunately typically have branding on them.

The reason why you need to use unbranded boxes because if someone receives a package with a Home Depot box,

sometimes they're going to think you're drop shipping or think that they ordered from a different website or anything.

So Amazon might give you a drop shipping violation,

So make sure to use unbranded boxes when you're doing FBM,

So once you actually list your inventory on Amazon,

So I would recommend when you do FBM for free standard and economy orders,
