Lição 55 · Etapa 4: Tempos verbais e modais
Future perfect
AvançadoForma e uso
will have + V3 — uma ação terminada antes de um momento do futuro
1.Forma
O future perfect = will have + particípio passado (V3), igual para todos os sujeitos — sempre will have, mesmo com he / she / it.
| Estrutura | Exemplo | |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | S + will have + V3 | I'll have finished. |
| Negativa | S + won't have + V3 | They won't have left. |
| Pergunta | Will + S + have + V3? | Will you have finished by six? |
| Resposta curta | Yes, S will. / No, S won't. | Yes, I will. / No, I won't. |
Na fala rápida, will have vira 'll have e o have fica bem fraco, quase “I'll've finished”.
1. Algo que vai estar terminado antes de (ou até) um momento no futuro — muitas vezes com by + horário, by the time + oração, before
Don't worry — I'll have sent you the file by lunchtime.
By the time we get to the station, the last train will have left.
Call me after eight. I won't have finished work before then.
2. Contar um período de tempo ou uma quantidade até um momento no futuro — will have + V3 + for…
Next June, Lan will have worked here for five years.
Em junho do ano que vem, a Lan vai completar cinco anos trabalhando aqui.
By the end of this course, you will have learned over 500 new words.
In December, my parents will have been married for thirty years.
Para destacar uma atividade contínua, você pode usar will have been + -ing (o future perfect continuous): By six, I'll have been driving for ten hours.
It's ten o'clock. Mai will have arrived in Hanoi by now.
You'll have heard the news, I suppose.
(I'll finish it by Friday também está certo — só diz o que você vai fazer; I'll have finished it by Friday destaca que estará concluído naquele momento.)
3.By, by the time e until
- by + horário/data = no máximo até aquele momento, muito comum com will have + V3: I'll have finished by Friday.
- by the time + presente simples = antes que…: By the time you wake up, I'll have left (não: will wake up) — veja a lição “Orações temporais no futuro”.
- until = continuando até aquele momento, usado com uma ação que dura: I'll be working until six (não: I'll have finished until six) — veja a lição “By ou until”.
4.Comparado com tempos parecidos
| Tempo verbal | Exemplo | Conta até |
|---|---|---|
| Past perfect | When I met Lan, she had worked here for a year. | um momento no passado |
| Present perfect | Lan has worked here for four years. | agora |
| Future perfect | Next June, Lan will have worked here for five years. | um momento no futuro |
Will be -ing ou will have + V3? Naquele momento, se a ação está em andamento → will be -ing; se já está terminada → will have + V3.
At seven, I'll be cooking dinner, so don't call.
By eight, I'll have eaten, so we can talk then.
(terminado)
5.Erros comuns
By next week, I will finished the course.By next week, I will have finished the course.
Está faltando o have.
The party will have finish by then. The party will have finished by then.
Depois de will have, use o V3.

Depois de will é sempre have, mesmo com he / she.
By the time we will arrive, they will have eaten.By the time we arrive, they will have eaten.
Depois de by the time → presente simples.
I'll have finished the essay until Friday.I'll have finished the essay by Friday.
Um prazo → by; until significa continuar até.
Next year I will work here for six years.Next year I will have worked here for six years.
Contar o tempo até um momento no futuro → will have + V3.
