They've paused immigrant visa applications worldwide as U.S consular offices undergo what officials describe as in-depth training to strengthen screening procedures.

Applicants with scheduled interviews have reportedly been informed that their appointments are being rescheduled, with new dates to be announced later.

The State Department says the initiative is aimed at ensuring officers can comprehensively assess applicants,

including whether they're likely to become dependent on US public assistance.

Now, the move is the latest in a series of measures by the Trump administration to tighten immigration

and visa rules and also increase scrutiny of those seeking to enter the United States.

Now, this has been immigration policy has been, you know, one of the biggest moves that the Trump administration has been seen making.

Now, it's seen a lot of hurdles in terms of how courts have repeatedly blockaded these moves.

But what do we make of this and more importantly, how does this impact Indians who had possibly, because they had to now return given the US policies,

and needlessly alarm the indian diaspora audience many of whom are on non-immigrant status

have been trying for the u.s visa from a long time now we've been told

that their dates are going to get rescheduled and they'll be given another date for the visa appointments.
