so beautiful and i cannot wait to explore this part of south australia all All right,

Yes!
21
So excited to do my arts and crafts.

29
Yes.
30
See you later, alligator.
31
Later.
32
There you go.
33
Ooh.
34
Can we have a look?
35
Ooh, it looks like we have a nice little view.
36
Ooh, a little cheese board.
37
That's cute.
38
Oh my gosh, the kids are gonna be excited.
39
And we can do it.
40
I can't have some bugs.
41
Hunter, look.
42
They got a cheese board with like chocolate and strawberries and cookies.
43
I wanna have a chocolate.
44
Here, do you want to open them up?
45
This is what we do in the Barossa Valley.
46
Oh yeah, you eat local food.
47
Oh my gosh.
48
Oh, there's chocolate.
49
Oh look, there's chocolate and cookies and strawberries and cheese.
50
That's nice.
51
Oh, there's like a little kid room.
52
Stop, the little hats are a bit cute.
53
All right, I feel like you need to wear this.
54
Okay, there we go.
55
Got my hat for the weekend.
56
It's nice, get to see the Aussie bush.
57
Sunrise should be nice here.
58
Yes, I feel like what I want to do tomorrow is go and explore the Brossa Valley, go pick up a bunch of like nibblies from all different places and then we have a picnic here.
59
How good.
60
But we wanted like a nice little weekend getaway
61
and of course three hours is our closest flight and yeah we've come out to South Australia to Barossa Valley.
62
It was yeah two and a half hours to get to Adelaide
63
and then just a quick hour drive to get out here.
64
We're staying, is it on there?
65
At the Novatel.
66
We stayed at the Novatel here.
67
We wanted to have like a nice spacious kind of place.
68
We booked like a two -bedroom room out here
69
And of course we're looking over the beautiful Barossa Valley I just
70
so many times
71
and I'm sure everybody can relate The first thing you want
72
to do on a holiday is to leave your country
73
But then you forget like Australia is a very cool country to explore
74
so many people come here And we always get excited
75
when there's an opportunity to come
76
and explore Australia I think I'm gonna have to like ban you guys from that bowl of chocolate Shane, there's a chocolate factory down the road from us.
77
Ah, I'm in the gap!
78
Good morning, everybody.
79
Last night, because we had such an early wake -up, we just ended up relaxing with the family, just chilling, playing with the kids.
80
And for dinner, we actually went up to the little restaurant that's here at the Novotel.
81
It's called The Cellar Room, and we had an incredible dinner.
82
The whole concept is the farms that you can see right in front of us.
83
They get all the ingredients sourced from there and bring it to the restaurant, And then on top of that thing is we are in the Barossa Valley.
84
We both tried some local sparkling wine, which was very delicious, but we have a full day in the Barossa Valley plan today to show you guys what we can get up to.
85
Happy Saturday here in the Barossa Valley.
86
I feel like the weekend is when this place shines
87
and every single Saturday morning they have a Barossa Valley farmer's market only on a Saturday morning.
88
So that is the first place we're going today.
89
And I looked it up, Steve.
90
The thing that people recommend we try, hot crumpet.
91
Oh man, I could have that.
92
That sounds great.
93
His favorite thing.
94
All right, we've just made it to the farmer's market.
95
What are we looking for?
96
Yummy treats or cute things to take home? Or both?
97
Both.
98
So last night when we were at dinner, me and Jas definitely love drinking a gin and tonic.
99
And of course we had to try some of the local sparkling.
100
But we were just like, is there something you can recommend in terms of gin?
101
And she said there's a Barossa distillery just down the road
102
and our hunt today was to find them then i realized they've just got a stall set up here
103
and tried some of the different gents decided to go for
104
like a three pack we really liked the citrus one they were selling
105
but we were just like you know what i don't know
106
when we're going to be in the barossa next let's just get like a three pack
107
and if there's something we really like we can order it in at home
108
which was awesome oh good idea on choosing cream oh my gosh it looks delicious
109
so good um she said so it's like a sourdough crumpet isn't it yes
110
and i was like she was putting this fresh jam she ran out so she got this like
111
ranma's jam out oh my gosh she's like no there's this store yeah
112
and it translates to bits and bobs in german
113
and there's people just sell their homemade jam their homemade honey all right we're going to bits
114
and bobs then i need maybe i need to get the the name of the store from her
115
and it literally has had the ingredients as a sticker strawberry is it good oh she's gone for a second Oh,
116
wait, I need to try this.
117
The best fits the jam.
118
It's like full -blown middle of winter here in Australia at the moment, hence why we're rugged up.
119
And I exclusively only eat crumpets in winter, like a cup of tea would go so well.
120
That is the best crumpet I've ever had in my life.
121
okay i feel like we need to warn you uh right now is
122
that if you aren't from australia you may not know this
123
but australia has the most amazing fresh produce
124
and i think we're going to be eating all day long
125
we've started with crumpets we've started strong hunt had the best idea we had one with honey one with jam
126
and cream get the jam and cream it was incredible
127
and next stop is a donut shop
128
and i asked you guys on instagram those
129
that are from here those have been to the barossa valley
130
what we should do the number one thing was eat a donut at this donut shop
131
so that's what we're gonna do oh look if you don't know what to choose you spin it
132
town isn't it welcome to tananda
133
which is one of the small little towns in the barossa valley And
134
if you've ever done like a road trip in Australia to
135
our like kind of small towns out in the middle of nowhere, a lot of them is essentially, the majority is done on this one strip.
136
So you can just park in the main strip and then just walk up and down.
137
We saw like a bookshop, there's a donut shop and also a coffee shop.
138
Cause it's about 10 in the morning and we need some good coffee.
139
What did you choose?
140
We want a vodka round and round.
141
Round and round.
142
That's a good choice.
143
What did you choose Hunter?
144
You love these books, don't you?
145
There was this cute little book shop, the Raven's Parlour Bookstore, and they had a little kiddie section in the back.
146
So I chose some books, but down the road I saw a place called Beans and Cream, and they sell two things.
147
Beans is the coffee, they make their own coffee beans there, and cream, they make their own ice cream.
148
Two of our favourite things.
149
You guys can have the beans?
150
Or the cream?
151
No, cream.
152
That's good.
153
Oh my gosh, it tastes like real strawberry.
154
They sell milk on tap.
155
So you can choose if you want like a full cream, lactose free, and then you fill it up and you can buy your own milk.
156
That's so fun.
157
Free flowing milk.
158
Now, did I let you guys know why we're out here?
159
Olakor were kind enough to organize this family weekend getaway for us.
160
So we could come and explore the Barossa Valley, a brand new area for us, which we're very thankful about.
161
And when I was checking in, I picked up one of their brochures our Olacore course is not only just a rewards platform
162
so the more you stay you can work up status
163
which leads to like room upgrades like we have this incredible two -bedroom room at the moment
164
so spacious for our family this is all
165
because of the Olacore kind of reward status
166
that we have plus on top of
167
that it's also a booking platform they have over 5 ,600
168
Olacore properties you probably have been in an Olacore property before from like Novotel,
169
Rixos there's so many around the world you think it's just for booking your nights there's
170
so many different ways to like move up on the rewards i think there's about 120 different ways
171
so this can be from like having your breakfast
172
or having like drinks during happy hour to booking experiences can
173
you see how many different you've probably stated one honestly at
174
this point like we have done like just looking just straight
175
on here we've done like mantra no hotel mccure baxofitel there's just
176
so many under it so honestly if you see a hotel
177
that you like make sure you go
178
and check out all the core i'll leave a link below for you guys
179
and members always get the best possible rate
180
and of course booking everything through there you're going to work your way up
181
and get incredible upgrades like we were thankful enough to get on our little trip
182
and our little family getaway plus this resort uh it has
183
like a pool giant chess board for the kids to play
184
there's a playroom as well incredible food i feel like all we've done on this trip is eat
185
but Thanks so much for sending us out.
186
And we have so much more of the Barossa Valley to show you guys.
187
We were literally driving along the road and we saw a sign that said sourdough bread, Saturday, nine to two.
188
We're going.
189
Can you see it all?
190
We were guessing it was canola.
191
There's this big field of like yellow flowers in there.
192
Literally those are my three favorite words.
193
Artisan sourdough bread.
194
Hunter you have to go on a daddy mission.
195
Go get us the best loaf of bread that you see in there please.
196
Hello.
197
Hello.
198
Come on in.
199
So I've got sourdough, this is all sourdough.
200
Fantastic.
201
So it's just flour, filtered water, it's certified organic flour, sea salt and filtered water.
202
Sounds great.
203
And then our starter.
204
One sourdough brioche and the lemon meringue please.
205
No worries, done.
206
So you got the goods?
207
It's two chocolate frogs, one for me, one for Kawa.
208
Oh my gosh.
209
And we got some pastries for your hands.
210
She sold us on the pastries.
211
How are we gonna eat all this?
212
Oh my, oh.
213
Is that lemon meringue?
214
Okay, so she's telling me, she's like, okay, the lemon meringue is only, I only bake it when my personal lemon tree has lemons in it.
215
Are you kidding?
216
Oh my gosh, this is so heavy.
217
Okay, I'm so glad they still had bread left.
218
Did she have much left?
219
No, there was like maybe three loaves of that.
220
But she had like chocolate and coffee.
221
She had sultana and cinnamon.
222
These are all bread loads.
223
Breads, yeah.
224
But I think after all this sugar, we need to go to a playground.
225
Like, it's a must.
226
Can I have one strawberry, please?
227
Okay, grab it.
228
Here you go.
229
What have you got?
230
We can't go to a winery without trying the wine, Mr. Coat Zero.
231
I was like, we had to try something.
232
We've come over to, I think this must be a very famous winery because it is absolutely huge.
233
We see all these people on wine tours, but we thought, we've got the kiddos.
234
Let's come to a place that does food outside.
235
The sun is shining and I got a Moscato.
236
I don't know.
237
I was like, do you have anything bubbly?
238
And he recommended the Moscato
239
and they make it all here i feel like here in
240
the barossa valley they don't let like many of the cellar
241
doors don't let kids come in i thought this is a
242
good way to still try some wine look out at the winery
243
and yeah they sold soup so
244
that we got toasties hot soup some moscato i should try it we aren't very big wine drinkers
245
but hence the bubbles i asked for sweet and bubbly it's sweet
246
and bubbly that's actually yum yeah and ko is doing a performance for us we've got a lunch performance
247
so this winery there is like a fancy sit -down restaurant
248
but i feel like today's vibes is just like going around
249
tasting little foods we've had a lot of sweets at the
250
beginning of the day it's like the last thing i feel
251
like is sitting on having a fancy meal honestly the sun is out it is winter
252
so i'm very happy
253
and just a cheese tomato toasty i'm hoping at least they get the cheese from the barossa cheese factory
254
so it feels like you're having a local experience i got
255
pumpkin soup honestly this is just what this weekend's about it's honestly it's a half decent toasty
256
but just so you know
257
if you do come out here looking for a fancy like lunch they do well
258
so we took the locals advice we've come to melbourne's chocolate there are a bunch your kids here.
259
Kids like Gaines outside and there's chocolate.
260
How cute is this?
261
I love how they do an Australian s'mores kit.
262
I don't think I've seen this before.
263
White chocolate Rocky Road.
264
Mum would love this.
265
Instead of a wine flight, they did a hot chocolate flight.
266
This is my type of wine.
267
So I know there's Marshies.
268
I love the marshmallows.
269
So the way it works is you choose your type of hot chocolate.
270
So you could do white, dark or milk.
271
So I just did milk for all of them, and then you have like a little flavoring
272
and she said you add a little bit and you stir it up and then you taste your hot chocolate.
273
Mint, marshmallow, and gingerbread.
274
I'd be adding the lime marshmallows.
275
So, oh, that's delicious.
276
Now for mint, should I add a little tiny bit?
277
Because she did say they're sweet.
278
So add a little bit of the mint.
279
This is, I've never seen this before.
280
I know, I was like, a hot chocolate flight?
281
I'm like, don't need to worry about the wine, we do the hot chocolate.
282
oh my gosh the hot chocolate itself is so good it's
283
so good and did you see in them the the chocolate
284
that they use for the hot chocolate it's on tap continuously dripping oh i need to go see
285
that you could even get chocolate fondue like little platters where they fill up little cups full of chocolate
286
and then it comes with like marshmallows strawberries and everything
287
it looked good but i was like we've had too many
288
when we still have the donuts we haven't even eaten plus
289
the lady with the bread gave us all those sweets i'm like okay let's just do the hot chocolates
290
but the mint is delicious I feel like it needs more mint
291
Do you want to try what a marshmallow -hot chocolate tastes like, Hunter?
292
Oh my gosh, I just taste it on the spoon.
293
It's boiling and it's a little bit musherly.
294
It's boiling.
295
And a little musherly.
296
Oh my gosh, that is so good.
297
Sorry, can you buy the syrup from it?
298
Yeah.
299
Yeah.
300
I think.
301
It's a little bit.
302
Just a little bit.
303
And then you just stir it.
304
And it's meant to taste like gingerbread.
305
I'm having a first taste.
306
So you could choose, by the way, like 30 flavours what yes 30
307
flavors you don't reckon
308
we love
309
code names but it is the Disney family version
310
and what's cool is
311
that the cards don't just have writing on them they have their pictures all right dad okay snowball what are you thinking
312
um Elsa vibes Elsa vibes okay
313
but there is Olaf who's made of snowballs oh let's let me know
314
when you want to lock him in you have to put
315
your finger on it are we We have yet to eat a bite of our gorgeous doughnuts.
316
Oh my goodness.
317
Guys, have a good close -up of these doughnuts.
318
Oh man.
319
This is literally the number one thing everyone told us we had to do.
320
I'm gonna try that.
321
Wait, they had a doughnut called the Anzac.
322
Like an Anzac cookie.
323
Look at that.
324
That's like a famous biscuit here in Australia.
325
You have a whole Ferrero.
326
Oh my gosh, Steve.
327
This is the last sweet we're having.
328
Oh, I know.
329
Coming to the Barossa but we had to try.
330
Are we ready?
331
Wow.
332
Everything's fallen off.
333
That's a good donut.
334
That's a good donut.
335
Oh yeah.
336
Oh.
337
Holy dooly.
338
I want to try just a classic cream and jam.
339
Classic cream and jam.
340
Wow.
341
This one's like full of something.
342
Mmm.
343
I need to get cold then.
344
Mmm. Of course.
345
What do you think of your doughnut by the way?
346
Is it good?
347
How was this one?
348
Oh my gosh is it full of cream?
349
Just full of cream it went everywhere Wait I should have got one
350
that was just like plain as well I'm more of like a plain doughnut Is it?
351
Yeah it's good They are very good doughnuts Can I try?
352
Still my favourite thing I've tried on this trip so far Is that jam and cream
353
That's the cream Still my favourite thing we've tried since coming to the Barossa is
354
that crumpet I had this morning with the jam
355
and cream it was incredible one more bite
356
and I'm tapping out good morning everybody you're welcome back to our next day in Barossa Valley
357
and sadly our last day one thing about weekend getaways is
358
that you're just enjoying it and then you have to be flying back tonight but
359
that is fine that's why we came out here we've just
360
come out to where we had dinner at the cellar door
361
and they do buffet breakfast in the morning and we didn't realize this
362
that when we went for dinner it was pitch black right there is an incredible view from breakfast ah
363
so beautiful this morning this trip has gone so quick
364
and i think it's honestly inspired us to do more of australia i just miss traveling australia
365
so much of course
366
if you guys missed quite a few years ago uh pandemic times we built out a van
367
and drove all around australia we did come to south australia
368
i'll link some of our original south australia videos we did
369
we did like air peninsula did this really cool heli campaign
370
where essentially i got picked up by helicopter popped into the flinders ranges
371
and then like they did leave supplies
372
but it was like fend for yourself on the night
373
which was very cool there's some cool experiences in south australia
374
but there are a few points we want to keep going
375
to like new south wales we've kind of like skipped over
376
because it was really rainy um
377
but i think you guys will have to let us know where in australia did we miss
378
and what should we go see because we are fully inspired to keep going
379
but i'm gonna go enjoy our breakfast and then our flight's at about six
380
so we have the full day here to keep enjoying good morning everyone
381
and happy sunday we officially checked out of our hotel
382
and before we leave the barossa area there is one more
383
spot we wanted to check out there's a little kind of
384
cafe on a beautiful lake it's called maggie beer's farm shop
385
and maggie beer had a look she's quite famous she's in the australian bake -off series
386
and she is a host on some of the Master Chefs here in Australia.
387
She's made her own little farm shop.
388
We're going to go and head out there for a little cheeky coffee before we start making our way back to Adelaide.
389
Are we going to meet Maggie?
390
Maggie's going to make me my coffee.
391
See, there's a.. a walk here eatery
392
which is why here get some coffee looks like mega beer does a cooking school which is kind of cool
393
oh it's so nice they have set up this almost like scavenger hunt to try
394
and find the different animals that are here on the farm
395
and uh we found two of the animals
396
so far i found a peacock and a pheasant
397
and it's nice we're just having a little walk it's beautiful
398
it is typical Australian like landscape we've got gum trees around there's a little lake just here
399
and it's like a nice crispy Sunday morning it is
400
so nice I think we're gonna order a coffee at the
401
actual shop there otherwise this is just what you like to
402
do first thing on a Sunday morning what's it look like she found sheeps yeah we've got to tick
403
that off yeah kids are loving it hunter's got her little camera you taking pictures for us
404
Now that's a big rockin' off!
405
That's worth the road trip, right there!
406
I love it so much!
407
For our non -Aussies out there, something that Australia loves to do is they just love building a big thing.
408
They've built them all over Australia.
409
When we went and did our road trip with Cooper, we went and saw the big mango.
410
What else did we see?
411
There's a big banana.
412
Well, here, near Adelaide, they've got the big rockin' horse.
413
Of course we had to come.
414
