1
Hello, let me teach you English while I show you my morning routine.
مرحباً، دعني أعلمك اللغة الإنجليزية وأنا أروي لك روتيني الصباحي.
2
My alarm went off at 9.58 a.m.
رن منبهي في الساعة 9:58 صباحًا.
3
I pressed snooze and I took off my earplugs because it's really noisy without them.
4
I open the curtains and I get my daily sun.
5
I woke up feeling a little sick.
6
I need to take a shower.
7
My hair is very greasy.
8
there's a band playing outside
9
I wanted to make uh
10
I wanted to make a daily routine video this is a highly requested daily routine video.
11
So I want to show you everything.
12
Obviously not everything because I need my privacy, you understand, but everything I can.
13
My voice is so hoarse.
14
I've been sick for a couple days now and I need to take a shower.
15
This does not look good.
16
What else?
17
Last night, I couldn't sleep.
18
It was really bad.
19
I drank a matcha just before going to sleep.
20
Bad decision.
21
I was just in bed tossing and turning for so long.
22
It wasn't good.
23
Yeah.
24
I'm going to take a shower now.
25
I'm going to take a shower.
26
I'm gonna take a shower.
27
Same.
28
First, let me fix my bed.
29
I put on the two comforters because it's cold right now in Mexico City.
30
And I just throw all of my stuffed animals on top.
31
After making my bed, I go to the bathroom.
32
So this is my shower, that's my shower head.
33
Here are some of my hair products like shampoo, conditioner, even a scalp massager.
34
I hear they're good for stimulating hair growth and some body soap and a loofah of course.
35
I play some music while I wait for the water to heat up.
36
and here i was singing one of my favorite songs video killed the radio star
37
but i realized i can't put that in i love
38
that song what's your favorite song to get ready in the morning
39
so i normally put some music while i shower i shampooed my hair i conditioned my hair I wash my body.
40
That's it.
41
This bathrobe.
42
It's like butter.
43
Soft like butter.
44
I'm opening the blinds for the day.
45
And now let's get ready.
46
A lot of the girls have been asking for my skincare routine,
47
which I'm so excited to show you.
48
I have my shirt and my shorts on for the day.
49
Ignore that mess.
50
You didn't see that.
51
Here, after I take a shower, I normally brush my hair right away.
52
otherwise otherwise is in any other case
53
so yeah i brush my hair first otherwise it gets poofy
54
i guess i call it poofy it gets frizzy that's a
55
better word i don't want to take too much time brushing
56
oh brushing my hair i'm gonna put on some socks because as you can hear i have a little something.
57
I don't know what it is.
58
It's like the flu, maybe.
59
It's like when you're a little congested, you have a little bit of a sore throat, maybe a little bit of a cough.
60
That's what I have. So, hey.
61
So, first step.
62
I usually...
63
Oh, that's so cool, that angle.
64
I love that angle.
65
sorry i almost forgot
66
so before i let my hair dry i put on i put in hair cream
67
or styling cream which is this now i get my face wet
68
and i use this cera v foaming cleanser
69
and slowly all around and i forgot i forgot my headband
70
but that's okay because the headband is to prevent your hair from getting wet like this
71
and my hair is already wet so that's okay Now, I wash it off.
72
This is my hand towel, but this is my face towel.
73
I recommend you keep two different towels on hand,
74
one for your face and one for your hands, because your hands are dirtier
75
than your face right now my mirror is so dirty i'm sorry it's
76
so annoying maybe i could just next part in the morning i use this rosacea well it's for rosacea
77
so if you don't know rosacea is a skin condition your skin basically turns red
78
if it's very cold or very hot your skin will turn red
79
so this is basically to prevent
80
and help the skin recuperate I used to do a lot more
81
but when I went to the dermatologist she said I should just use CeraVe
82
so that's what I do now at night I put on this teen derm this is for tightening your skin
83
and this is for rosacea so guys these are like very specific products
84
that my dermatologist recommended to me
85
but these are the ones I used to use you can use them like these
86
so I used to use this face wash simple so good
87
so soft and just refreshing on the skin so good and And Garnier for exfoliating.
88
You should only exfoliate two to three times a week.
89
Only two to three times.
90
And then I would put this.
91
I love this moisturizing gel.
92
It's like lotion, but it's gel.
93
If you can see here, it's like opaque.
94
It's really soft and fresh.
95
I love it.
96
And it smells so good.
97
Finally, I put on my sunblock.
98
So the trick with sunscreen is to use it on your eyelids and mouth.
99
Everywhere gets fun.
100
Everywhere.
101
I'm all done.
102
I forgot to brush my teeth so my toothbrush this is my toothbrush i put on some toothpaste
103
and actually sometimes i'll go over my face with a roller
104
if i feel puffy in the mornings but yeah not every time all right
105
that was my skincare routine now let's go to the kitchen put on put on my slippers
106
so after putting on my slippers i open the blinds for the day I say good morning to Naila,
107
beautiful Naila, and I open these blinds too.
108
So let's cook some breakfast, shall we?
109
So I usually have music playing at this time, but I don't want to get copyrighted,
110
so no music for today.
111
But I usually listen to something like Kalliuchis, Billie Eilish.
112
I really like Bruno Mars lately.
113
Lady Gaga, of course.
114
The Marias I've been listening to a lot.
115
Guys, I wish I could show you all these songs.
116
It sucks that they have all these rules on YouTube.
117
All right, let's get started.
118
So you guys all know I start with my smoothie.
119
So we are getting our bananas, kefir.
120
Do you remember what kefir is?
121
Some spinach, some flaxseed with chia, amaranth.
122
My sister Brianna recommended I eat this because it's a very good healthy food, I guess.
123
Creatine.
124
I drink so many pills.
125
I take, sorry.
126
I take so many pills every morning.
127
I was showing my roommate the other day how many pills I take and it's crazy.
128
I usually need to eat something first before I take my daily vitamins and pills like an old lady.
129
So let's make our smoothie first and then I'll show you all the vitamins I take.
130
Let's get our blender and one banana.
131
We peel the banana and we throw it in the blender.
132
I put in a handful of spinach and we strain our kefir.
133
Do you remember what kefir is?
134
It originated in Russia.
135
I actually couldn't even give you a simple definition of kefir or any definition of kefir.
136
I just know kefir is really good for you.
137
So let's strain out that kefir.
138
Now, we sprinkle in some flaxseed and let's sprinkle in some amaranth.
139
I think that's what you call it in English.
140
I've actually never said amaranth in English.
141
I know in Spanish it's amaranto, and I'm pretty sure it's amaranth in English.
142
Sometimes I don't know the words in English, but I know them in Spanish and vice versa.
143
So you know, I was born in the United States, but I grew up in Mexico.
144
So there are some words that I never learned in English, but I know in Spanish and vice versa.
145
Now, creatine.
146
All right.
147
And we blend.
148
We'll serve this into my mug or we pour it into a mug.
149
I love smoothies and I hate wasting food
150
So I always just go with a spoon
151
And I grab all of the excess smoothie And I pour it into my mug Mmm
152
Let's make some oatmeal Let's just put away these dishes first, alright?
153
Get this out of the way When you get something out of the way it means to just get it done,
154
get it off the to-do list.
155
You know, you could say it literally, which means like, oh, get this out of the way, but also a task that's kind of like,
156
oh, I don't want to do it.
157
Let's just get it out of the way.
158
So say if I have to go to the dentist, what time do you want to go?
159
Eight o'clock in the morning or eight o'clock at night?
160
and I say, oh, maybe just eight o'clock in the morning.
161
Just get it out of the way so that you don't have to think about it all day.
162
Now let's put these away, the silverware.
163
This is my silverware drawer.
164
It's pretty nasty.
165
I'm sorry you had to see that.
166
we need a lot of things in this apartment still
167
but the silverware drawer is not a priority of mine
168
so sorry now i usually have either eggs or oatmeal today i'm feeling like
169
guess guess what i'm feeling like five four three two one oats i'm feeling like oats today
170
so i'm gonna show you how i prepare my oatmeal let me get the ingredients i have overnight oats
171
so i don't have to prepare anything
172
but i do like to warm them up i don't like them cold
173
so let me show you guys how I warm these up.
174
I get a deep pan.
175
I pour these oats into there.
176
Let me turn on the stove.
177
So if you don't know how to make overnight oats, I will show you.
178
You just basically use a topper like this.
179
You put oats, you put chia, flaxseed, anything you want in the oats,
180
and you add milk and then you just leave it in the refrigerator overnight overnight oats
181
and the next morning you can just eat them
182
that you can eat them cold which i usually do
183
but today i kind of felt like warm oats
184
so let's pour these into our bowl i like to add peanut butter granola and some honey.
185
So let's start with a little scoop of peanut butter.
186
Then we sprinkle some granola and then we drizzle some honey.
187
I drizzle that all over my oats.
188
There we go.
189
And let's slice some banana up in there too.
190
beautiful now all set all
191
right now we eat cheers
192
so what have i been thinking about lately yesterday i couldn't sleep it was really hard for me to fall asleep
193
but i was like well
194
because last night right before going to sleep i went with
195
my roommate to get coffee matcha sorry matcha is way worse than coffee for sleeping
196
because it just keeps you up keeps you up for
197
so long i feel like coffee the effect of coffee is just whoop whoop
198
but matcha is like you know so i couldn't sleep
199
because of that and then she left and i felt really lonely
200
so i just kind of started overthinking
201
and yeah I just started going back to like watch videos from the night
202
that my ex-boyfriend hit me
203
and it was just like why am I doing this I
204
literally didn't even understand I was just thinking about it
205
and then I was like well maybe like I could go look at the photos
206
and then I looked at the photos and I just got really upset
207
and it's like well yeah obviously you're gonna get upset that's
208
not a nice thing to see i had a long night
209
and then i talked to you guys on my live
210
because i couldn't sleep
211
and i um i felt a lot better you can't stop living for one person
212
or because of one person and
213
that really helped me i was like you know what yeah
214
i'll be okay i'll be fine everything will be okay
215
and then i felt better
216
because i know how far i've come i know how strong i am i just had to remind myself
217
and there's always going to be moments of weakness at
218
that moment i felt like i would never be normal again i felt like i would always find
219
a reason to not be okay you know what i mean
220
so i was like no i want to be okay alone
221
i need to be okay alone like this can't just happen every time i'm alone
222
and granted it was 3 a.m and i was really tired
223
but I couldn't sleep
224
so I I need to give myself a little credit I need to go easy on myself
225
because that's not an easy thing to do to just be
226
alone at 3 a.m you know like I think anyone would feel like you know not just me
227
so I do need to give myself a break
228
and give myself credit for the strength that I do have and for everything that I have done.
229
And yeah, I've been thinking a lot about it.
230
And we need to keep growing.
231
We need to keep moving forward.
232
We can't stop for anyone.
233
You need to leave the past in the past.
234
Of course, I can remember, but not take it with me everywhere because that will make me feel too heavy.
235
And yeah, I was thinking about that.
236
there's this one YouTuber I follow
237
and I love her I love her attitude her positivity
238
and she was saying like she's like there will be some people
239
that meet you
240
and they're like wow I met the love of my life
241
oh she's beautiful she's perfect for me after the first day of meeting you and then And in one month,
242
they'll be like, oh, I hate her.
243
She's awful.
244
She's this, that.
245
Oh, she's so annoying.
246
But then there will be people that maybe don't like you at first.
247
They'll be like, oh, I don't care for you.
248
You're not my kind of person.
249
But then they'll get to know you with time.
250
They'll realize that they really like everything about you.
251
They enjoy the parts of you that maybe aren't superficial that you can only see
252
when they've known you for a longer time and That's beautiful.
253
I think because it's happened to me sometimes when a guy for example So they'll at first be like wow, she's so free.
254
She's so beautiful I'll say hello to everyone.
255
I'll smile and talk to everyone
256
I'll be friendly because that's what makes me happy
257
and then in two months it'll be like oh but don't do
258
that because you're mine so you can't be free and wild
259
and talkative and friendly those things
260
that they loved me for now are a problem it's almost
261
like keeping a butterfly in a cage just to admire her beauty and keep it to yourself.
262
But a butterfly is free.
263
And a butterfly is beautiful because she's free, because she goes wherever she wants to go, and people just admire her passing by.
264
But if you try to keep her in, she'll eventually die.
265
A butterfly needs to go out and do what a butterfly does.
266
Fly and be free.
267
Pollinate other flowers flowers.
268
I think butterflies pollinate flowers.
269
But yeah, anyways, what I'm trying to say is
270
that people are going to like you or they're not going to like you, whether you're one person or the other.
271
Someone can like you instantly one day and the next day hate you
272
or hate you the first day and then love you the next day
273
but you have to continue being yourself your authentic self you're everything
274
and anything you want to be let yourself be free let yourself change
275
if today you want to be this person tomorrow you want to be
276
that person do it we are anything we want to be
277
so guys i know this was a little bit different than my normal episodes i'm not speaking as slow
278
I want you guys to practice listening to a normal English speed.
279
I have a lot of B1, B2 learners out there who I know will love this episode.
280
That was my little chat for you guys.
281
Let's clean our mess.
282
I left quite a mess.
283
So let's clean it.
284
So guys, I never showed you my pills.
285
Okay, so I start with my omega-3 because omega-3 is good for your skin. And then my multivitamins.
286
I don't know what for, but... And turmeric.
287
and then dandelions for your immunity
288
and then these these are for my alopecia all right all set let's go
289
so today what are we doing today i have a meeting
290
then I'm going to a coffee shop to work all day
291
because I love working at a coffee shop you guys know
292
I spent an hour with my co-workers working on some new
293
ideas for my English community new ideas for you guys to
294
learn English as easy as possible I wanted to show you
295
guys my outfit for today in honor of the spring season
296
and the first hakaranda coming out i decided to wear some spring
297
colors my favorite bag she's so pretty a green jumper a pink top some pink earrings
298
colorful pants and some colorful jewelry I'm so excited for today to get started
299
and I just wanted to remind you to pay attention to
300
everything around you today don't let the little things go unnoticed notice everything around you
301
because paying attention is loving when you pay attention attention to something, you love something.
302
So notice the trees, notice the flowers.
303
Even if there's no flowers, notice the sun, the plants, maybe the water.
304
There's so much beauty in the world that goes unnoticed.
305
I was walking down the street the other day and the purple trees,
306
the jacarandas, are all starting to bloom because it's spring in Mexico.
307
And I was just looking around in amazement.
308
I couldn't believe how beautiful it all was.
309
But I looked at everyone around me and they were just walking past all the trees,
310
past all of the flowers on the sidewalk.
311
The roads were filled with purple leaves, purple flowers, I guess, and nobody was looking at them.
312
I'm sure a lot of people love the trees, but maybe they don't appreciate them as much as they should.
313
we get so caught up in our daily lives, in how busy we are,
314
that we forget to enjoy the small things in life, like the trees.
315
Even if they're not purple, I'll still look at a tree and say, wow, that tree has a story.
316
That makes it worthy of our attention.
317
Let's pay attention to mundane things.
318
You have the power to make your life interesting and beautiful and fun.
319
No matter what's in your life, you can find the fun, the beauty, the interest.
320
So I challenge you to paying attention today.
321
Not to every single thing that passes by, but pay attention every once in a while.
322
Throughout your day, just pay attention.
323
Appreciate it even if it's not worth appreciating.
324
I see people playing music in the streets, people selling tamales, a woman riding her bike, a kid playing with his dad,
325
two friends laughing, a cute bag that someone is carrying,
326
a leaf that falls right in front of me.
327
There's so many things.
328
Even if you don't find beauty in it, just pay attention.
329
And I promise you, your days will be so much more fulfilling.
330
And it'll reprogram your brain to slowly continue looking for all the positives in everything around you.
331
I'm going on a tangent.
332
I'm sorry.
333
I just wanted to tell you how excited I was for spring.
334
So back to Tiana from earlier.
335
This is one of my favorite things to do in Mexico City.
336
To get all dressed up in colorful clothes, my favorite jewelry, and ride the bike to my favorite coffee shop.
337
It's the best day ever.
338
You scan this QR code on the bike and it unlocks.
339
It's an annual fee of like $20 and you can use the bike as many times as you want.
340
It's a pretty good deal.
341
I love biking around the park,
342
looking at all the droopy trees and the purple jacarandas.
343
This is the best season in Mexico City.
344
I love riding the bike through all of the colorful trees.
345
It's so magical.
346
This one was contrasting with a blue wall, and it made my day.
347
When I arrived at the coffee shop, I ordered some chilaquiles and a matcha.
348
They were very good.
349
I read my book while I waited for my order to be ready.
350
And these were some of the best chilaquiles I've ever had.
351
They were so good.
352
Chilaquiles are my favorite Mexican food.
353
After working, I decided to sit in the park, look at the trees, and watch people passing by.
354
It was a Saturday, so the park was pretty full.
355
I bought a new ring at the market.
356
This gem represents transformation.
357
And I got it in honor of the spring.
358
And in honor of noticing everything around me.
359
Don't forget to do that today, guys.
360
Pay attention.
361
Pay attention to the little details.
362
When I got home, I put on one of my favorite YouTube channels.
363
I cooked some asparagus.
364
And I made some dinner.
365
For dinner, I mashed up some tuna and avocado.
366
And I cooked some asparagus.
367
It was delicious.
368
this is one of my favorite parts of the day it makes me
369
