Shadowing-Übung: challenging myself to speak on a random topic for 1 minute! #communicationskills - Englisch Sprechen Lernen mit Video

Lektion wird erstellt...
1
Oh, sorry.
2
When I was doing archery in middle school and high school and competing at a national level.
3
We did a lot of mental training exercises to practice staying focused on the target
4
and staying focused on our shot despite weather, despite people around us having meltdowns, despite like any number of distractions happening.
5
So we do exercises like putting water cups on our heads
6
and people would shoot them with water guns and try to spill water all over you.
7
We would have people with noisemakers, have people telling jokes, making faces,
8
giving controversial hot takes, and I learned how to tune out all of this external background noise.
9
But what really made the difference in my performance was when I learned to tune out my negative thoughts.
10
Our negative thoughts can often be the hardest background noise to tune out.
11
And it's important to not just silence them
12
because sometimes we need to let our thoughts flow like water
13
and sometimes we need to stop and take a drink from them and refresh ourselves with them.
