Earlier this week, while I was finishing up my certification to become a Metaverse real estate agent,
2
Zuck from Meta took the stage at MetaConnect and spent 90 minutes telling everyone that the Metaverse was never really the plan,
3
and that the real plan all along was a personal AI agent named Muse that he says can live inside your glasses, on your Mac, in your email inbox,
4
and even in a little Tamagotchi -inspired device on your keychain.
5
It can understand your goals, your dreams, and your deepest desires while working 24 -7 on your behalf to achieve them.
6
And because they believe the best way to create a positive future for everyone is to put power in people's hands, they're giving Muse to the world for free,
7
as long as you're fine with them taking a cut of every purchase it makes for you.
8
And because Zuck already knows what we're all thinking, he spent a good chunk of the keynote trying to convince everyone
9
that Muse runs on its own isolated Linux VM where nobody, including Meta, can see your data.
10
In today's video, we'll break down everything from MetaConnect 2026, look at how Muse actually works under the hood,
11
and find out if a personal AI agent that follows you everywhere is the future of computing, or just another asset I need to write off along with my Horizon Worlds condo.
12
It is September 25th, 2026, and you're watching the code report.
13
Now, this isn't Meta's first attempt at a personal assistant.
14
You may remember back in 2015 when they launched something called M, which worked inside Messenger and let you do stuff like book a restaurant reservation or send flowers to your wife's boyfriend.
15
It was actually really good, and it was one of Facebook's earliest AI initiatives, at least until it got shut down in 2018, when it turned out that the AI was just actual Indians.
16
But now 11 years later, Zuck assures us that the humans have been replaced with Muse Spark 1 .3, which is the same model they released earlier this month, and means Muse, the assistant,
17
can do stuff like browse the web, use your computer on your behalf, and because it also comes with its own email address, you can cc it on threads, or forward it emails.
18
Meta also opened up connectors to third -party developers, and Alexander Wang, the man who really wants Muse to be thick,
19
and whose kids, kids, kids will never have to worry about rent because of Meta, called it a generational opportunity to build on a new platform.
20
Which makes sense when you realize Alexander Wang is in his 20s, and the first time Facebook said they had a generational opportunity for developers,
21
he was probably busy playing smear the person with the ball in elementary school.
22
Now, I know what you're thinking, Meta is the last company you'd trust with your sensitive data, but Zuck Pinky promises this time is different because of how they engineered it.
23
The way it works is when you sign up for Muse, you get a cloud -based Linux VM that comes with its own browser, storage, and a Rust harness called Hatch that runs the agent loop.
24
From there, the agent runs inside a sandbox on that machine, and your passwords are stored in a separate process.
25
So when Muse needs to log into something, it gets handed a fake token, and a gatekeeper called Sentinel swaps in the real one before the request is made.
26
Which means if a login page contains hidden text telling Muse to email your password to a guy in Belarus,
27
all it has to do is send a fake token that's worthless outside your VM anyway.
28
Meta is so confident in the setup that they'll pay up to $130 ,000 to anyone who can prompt inject it.
29
But ironically, none of that stops Meta from spying on you, and that's where Zuck is still kind of lying.
30
Even Meta can't even see the content of what you're putting into your Muse agent.
31
So the version of the VM that would keep your data safe from Meta is still in testing and by default, everything you say or do with Muse can be used as training data for future models.
32
But hey, look at these cool VR glasses they ship too.
33
They only weigh about 100 grams, and they come with 5K micro OLED displays, IMAX enhanced certification, and they're supposed to ship next spring for $1 ,300.
34
And to prove they're actually good, Meta released a video of famous people trying them on for the first time, including James Cameron, who directed Piranha 2, The Spawning, and Palmer Luckey,
35
who invented the Oculus Rift in his parents' garage.
36
It sold it to Facebook for $2 billion in 2014, and then got fired three years later after donating to a pro -Trump meme group.
37
He went on to co -found Anderil, and for years he's been one of Meta's biggest haters.
38
So for them to get him on film praising the glasses means they're either legit, or the military headset contract Meta and Anderil signed last year comes with some very specific obligations.
39
In addition, the pervert spy glasses got a refresh too.
40
Gen 3 comes with a new look and a dedicated AI button for $449, and they also released a non -pervert audio -only version for $349.
41
And before we wrap things up, Zuck channeled his inner Steve Jobs and announced a little silver 2 -inch device that comes with a fingerprint sensor,
42
its own 5G connection, and a touchscreen with your Muse's animated face on it
43
so you have something cute to interact with while it quietly uses your entire life as training data.
44
They're calling it Muse Charm, and Zuck says it can be yours this holiday season.
45
But if you'd rather not wait until December for an agent that can actually get work done for you, you can build a whole team of them today with HyperAgent, the sponsor of today's video.
46
My startup's growth has been stalling lately, so I partnered with a dozen stable owners across the country
47
to help me reach my ideal users with an affiliate marketing campaign that we're running from a shared Slack channel.
48
This got pretty chaotic fast, so I put a team of HyperAgent agents in the channel, all running around the clock on the cheapest Chinese models money can buy.
49
Now, whenever a stable owner asks for marketing assets, My agents can create and share market research, images, and copy with them, and whenever they want to request new features,
50
a coding agent can draft the change and open a pull request for me.
51
Any specific questions we have get routed back to the correct owner, and I only hear about it when it's time to approve the merge.
52
Hyperagent also just launched workspaces, which lets your entire team share the same agents, skills, and memories, while also allowing the agents to hand off jobs to humans.

This has been the code report, thanks for watching, and I will see you in the next one.
