1
There's been some important updates in the investigation into the cause of that
2
Palm Beach Learjet 60 plane crash.
3
And this morning, the co -pilot was identified by her family
4
and did parts disintegrate off this Learjet 60 before it even crashed.
5
And so the big news that came out this morning was
6
that the family of the co -pilot confirmed that the co -pilot was their daughter, Natalia Filgueriras.
7
I hope I pronounced that right.
8
But she got her pilot's license at age 17
9
and has logged 1300 hours so far yeah
10
so interesting history about her this is where natalia went to high school right here local to me
11
this is about 20 minutes from my house she attended west boca raton community high school
12
and at age 17 you know they have an aviation academy program here
13
she actually got her pilot's license at age 17
14
so she got her pilot's license before she even got her driver's license i like being different than everyone
15
so to me I think it's like cool
16
that well like it's not really an opportunity I kind of just didn't do it
17
and this is how it ended up
18
but I think it's kind of cool some people think that it's like weird because I can fly planes but I
19
can't drive a car I mean I can
20
but a lot of people think it's funny I think it's funny
21
and I now want my license really bad the best news
22
the school district paid for Natalia to get her private pilot's license through the Aviation Academy.
23
The academy has 125 students from freshmen to seniors.
24
So I visited her social media account here on threads.
25
So this is her account.
26
And some early reports were saying that, you know, she's posted all of her piloting activities and stuff like that.
27
And a beautiful woman too.
28
What a shame.
29
And so So there's something I wanted to point out to you here, which was kind of interesting that I found.
30
So in March of 2025 here, she went back to her old high school to share her experiences and answer aviation questions.
31
So here she is talking to the current wave of students at the West Boca Community High School.
32
Now, Skymatics, Florida, sent one of their drones up this morning and got some second day information here, an update for us there's the crater
33
and this is just totally amazing there that's actually utilities i believe public utilities
34
and the plane is inside this puddle at the bottom there of the crater
35
so they'll have to get that water out first
36
and man just look at that look how the debris went everywhere there
37
so people were saying well we don't see any debris
38
but look it's on top of the trailers at the mobile home park
39
and it's all over there i mean it's just everywhere
40
you go there's just little pieces of it that's all
41
now a number of you have noticed on my previous video on this palm beach learjet crash from last night
42
you saw my thumbnail and you said hey jeff you know what it looks from that thumbnail
43
and also from the freeze frames from the dash cam video like the plane's tail wing is missing
44
now the tail wing is is what lay people call it it's actually called a horizontal stabilizer
45
and so that appears to be missing from my thumbnail and
46
so this is what people were focusing on
47
and they go hey you know right here along the tail is supposed to be
48
that horizontal stabilizer so i'm going to overlay next to it here
49
what it should look like on a regular jet i'll try to scale it to be around the same size
50
and so this is the part
51
that everybody says looks like it's missing of course
52
i did do a lot of processing on this screenshot from the dash cam
53
but i i boosted the saturation i did all sorts of tricks with the brightness and contrast
54
and you can see like you don't even see the left wing even though we know it's on there
55
but let's go take a look at it on the unchanged actual unfiltered dash cam video
56
and by the way this was also brought up at the ntsb press conference at about 1 30
57
that just wrapped up a few minutes ago.
58
So check this out.
59
Yes, sir.
60
David O 'Brien, New York Times.
61
Is there any indication that the plane's control surfaces like the horizontal stabilizer may have come off
62
and been compromised in that end part?
63
They may have.
64
We do have some evidence that there was some breakup of the aircraft before impact.
65
We're still seeking to determine that.
66
So as we look at a close -up shot of it here,
67
these are the horizontal stabilizers that people think are missing wing off of the tail.
68
Now, some people call this the tail wing, but it's actually called the horizontal stabilizer.
69
So we want to take a look at it
70
and run it step by step through those couple of frames
71
that would show us whether or not these were present on the plane.
72
Okay, so this should help us identify really whether
73
or not those horizontal stabilizers were there or not on the plane when it crashed.
74
So here it is.
75
I've got it set to just before it hit the ground.
76
And we want to advance frame by frame.
77
And I want to show you a phenomenon here
78
that might lead you to think that there wasn't stabilizers there when they might be there.
79
Now, we still don't know 100%.
80
Notice how right here you can see the right wing, but you can't see the left wing
81
so i had a number of people comment saying look i can see sky right there
82
so i don't see any horizontal stabilizer
83
which it should be right here on the end of the the tail there
84
so remember there's a lot of blur
85
but the point is they're saying they can see the the clouds
86
and the sky behind it so it must not be there
87
but look you could say the same thing about this left wing
88
but we know the left wing is there
89
because watch this see i advance it one frame
90
and there you can actually see the left wing you see
91
that you can see both wings whereas
92
if i push it right back up it's not there you know
93
you have a lot of artifacts from the camera the motion blurring
94
and let's check this out too so you can see
95
when it comes down and i'm maintaining that this shaded square you see
96
that little square right there i'm maintaining that
97
that could be the horizontal stabilizer right there
98
because watch how it's not there the minute before this is not artifacts from the clouds
99
or anything or compression algorithms so watch
100
when we move the plane back up okay keep your eye on
101
that square okay so keep your eye on
102
that square right there where the point of the cursor is
103
and you'll see it disappear when i move the frame to in reverse to make the plane go back up.
104
So I tend to agree with the NTSB and everybody else
105
that it does indeed look like the horizontal stabilizers were ripped off.
106
So the problem here is if you lose that horizontal stabilizer and it gets torn off of your tail,
107
that's like the feathers on the tip of the arrow.
108
That's what gives you your stability.
109
But even worse, what might logically happen now is without it controlling the pitch of your nose, your center of gravity shifts forward a little bit
110
and the nose starts pointing down like this so
111
that I think explains probably a good portion of
112
that completely almost vertical dive now because without
113
that stability control to keep you level no amount of pulling back on
114
that yoke is going to help you out of a situation this bad
115
so that's why I think in this storm the turbulence might
116
have played much more of a role here than the ice on the wings
117
I'm sure the ice on the wings didn't help but
118
if what we think is correct now I think
119
that the root cause here might actually just be
120
that the turbulence of all of that sudden air rushing upward like this in the middle of that rapidly forming storm,
121
that probably tore the horizontal stabilizer right off of the tail.
122
So probably the combination of the ice on the wings maybe helped it lose lift, maybe a little bit or maybe all.
123
This could be an all or nothing deal.
124
Then you start plunging because of that and you hit an overspeed condition and that tears off the horizontal stabilizer.
125
Now, the folks from the My Radar Weather Radar channel had put together this animation here
126
that shows just exactly how fast this little storm cell that was about three to five miles wide, how fast it developed.
127
So let me show you the importance of what it's showing us here and how quickly these anvil cloud formations can occur.
128
So here they were seeing the cell top was at 37 ,000 feet at 1237.
129
So that's 14 minutes before the crash, 14, 15 minutes.
130
So it's already at 37 .7.
131
Now, this isn't going to change, but watch the cloud formation itself.
132
Watch the core of the storm.
133
And you can see how small it really was comparatively
134
and then as they're getting closer
135
and closer you can see it's starting to rise up now you see
136
that see how rapidly the height of it is shooting up there
137
and it gets higher and higher there now so that now
138
and they didn't really get very granular about updating this
139
but at 1248 two minutes before the crash they're already showing it at 41 000 feet
140
so look at this let me back
141
it up from 1248 to 1243 in five minutes time it went from 33 000 to 41 000 feet
142
so that was about 8 000 feet in five minutes time the height of this storm
143
so imagine the imagine the famous volcano mount vesuvius exploding upward with lava and that's sort of what's happening here this
144
This storm is taking millions of gallons of water and sucking it straight up at a very rapid rate.
145
And the plane just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
146
and flew right into it so that they would become instant ice on your wings.
147
But also, it might have been the turbulence from all of this wind rushing upwards like this
148
that could have torn off the horizontal stabilizers off of the tail.
149
So here they were showing that this rapidly growing convective cell rose 17 ,000 feet over the course of 25 minutes.
150
It just very rapidly developed.
151
So the thing that still perplexes me, I know most pilots typically want to dodge any type of rainstorm,
152
thunderstorm like this, but I do have to question is
153
if they were flying like this don't they have any kind of radar instrument on their plane
154
that would have shown them this
155
and they could have just gone either side
156
we're only talking three to five miles wide now here's another valuable eyewitness video
157
that surfaced today so this was taken just seconds after the plane crashed
158
and you can see here that it pretty much crashed,
159
I would say, right in lane number three and the bike lane of Military Trail heading southbound.
160
And it also took out the sidewalk as well and the number two lane.
161
And right now, these cars are driving on the only lane available, which is the number one lane of the southbound lanes.
162
And even then, they're driving over a damaged road, which I'll show you in a minute.
163
But it was very nerve -wracking for me to see this because there could have been a sinkhole developing there.
164
So they were taking their life in their hands, I think, driving over that area.
165
And people were driving by and filming it right from their cars before the police arrived, not even knowing what it was.
166
And then, of course, there's always going to be your conspiracy theory.
167
And by the way, I don't even call it conspiracy theory.
168
I call it conspiracy fabrication or even much more appropriately, instigators.
169
because there's people that just go around the internet on every video leaving comments
170
and and disguised questions like how did they clean up the debris field
171
so fast how come there's no debris how do we know
172
that there was even a plane crash blah blah blah all of this nonsense
173
so this is probably one of the clearest witness videos
174
that were shot yesterday right after the crash
175
so the people in the mobile home park
176
that you can see there's all sorts of particles and debris
177
that landed all over the cars
178
and it busted their windshields now there weren't a whole lot of large pieces
179
but you're about to see a few
180
that look like they're maybe i don't know 12 inches or
181
so there's one that looked like it was almost two feet
182
but most of them are just shard little pieces of metal
183
and just many of the pieces i'd say the vast majority of them were basically nuts
184
and bolts that size you can see look particles everywhere all over this parking lot
185
so he's finding some small amounts of chunks of metal there
186
and this is all immediately behind the impact area the impact crater there was a good sized piece
187
that looked like it was a good three or four feet
188
and so they're just basically walking around between the buildings
189
and remember a lot of the debris has landed on the
190
roofs of all of these mobile homes here in this park
191
and look you can see you're seeing good amounts of trunks right
192
there i mean it's basically everywhere it just came raining down on them
193
so they're pointing to all the little smaller pieces everywhere
194
and they even said that there was some found around the corner at like the baseball field so there's a, bring it out a little bit.
195
See, because here's
196
Military Trail, and here's 10th Avenue North.
197
And so the impact was right here.
198
It actually struck right here on the bike path in front of this light pole right here.
199
And so it actually, the crater took up these two lanes plus the bike lane
200
and the sidewalk right up to the pole here.
201
So everything came raining down from there.
202
And it was around the corner over here on these baseball diamonds where they found some debris.
203
And I even saw aerial photographs of debris landing here along the canal as well.
204
I don't know what happened, Mommy.
205
I think a plane fell from the sky.
206
Oh, my God.
207
Oh, my God.
208
Oh, my God.
209
what was that what is that mom stop
210
Well, what was it, Tanya?
211
The gas line looks like it exploded.
212
The gas line?
213
No, it wasn't a plane, it was the pilot.
214
There's no way to breathe this stuff.
215
No, it's not good to breathe this stuff.
216
But Tanya, what was that light in the sky?
217
Mami!
218
It's the gas, the gas, it exploded with the gas.
219
What the hell?
220
What the fuck?
221
I saw a red light.
222
I don't know what it was.
223
stay right here stay right there
224
mami yo no se que fue lo que paso mami yo no se
225
now the one thing that bothers me about all of these air crashes
226
and the videos and everything is that there's always all of these internet trolls
227
that come on there
228
and they always make the same stupid comment oh dei i'm sure you've probably seen it once
229
or twice at least on some kind of video
230
but it happens on all the major collapses and it's like it's just getting old already.
231
And I always question, you know, the maturity of these types of people.
232
And do they really have nothing better to do with their time than to go around
233
and lay insulting comments against women like this?
234
So here's the part that you need to understand is
235
that whether you're a man or a woman and you're going to become a pilot, they all have to go through the exact same test.
236
All right.
237
If you make a mistake, the FAA can yank your card, whether you're a man or a woman more men have crashed planes
238
and helicopters than women and even since the whole DEI alleged you know started I doubt
239
that this goal was part of any kind of DEI hiring program
240
but when people are immature like this and go around
241
and just level all sorts of judgments like this against people it just shows a complete lack of respect
242
but anyway if there's any more updates on this I will be sure to let you know
243
and if you didn't check out the previous night's video on this crash, check this one out here.
244
And don't forget to view my other one here on the Amazon plane crash update.
245
So thank you for joining us and we'll see all of you on the next one.
