Present perfect
have/has + past participle — बीता हुआ काम जिसका असर अभी भी है
(Form)
Present Perfect = have / has + past participle (V3)। he / she / it और एकवचन संज्ञाओं के साथ has आता है, बाकी सभी कर्ताओं के साथ have। I've, you've, she's, they've।
| I / you / we / they | he / she / it | |
|---|---|---|
I've finished. | She's finished. |
I haven't finished. | She hasn't finished. |
Have you finished? | Has she finished? |
Yes, I have. / No, I haven't. | Yes, she has. / No, she hasn't. |
She's gone = She has gone। She's going = She is going।
2.Past participle (V3)
नियमित क्रियाएँ (regular verbs): V3 बिल्कुल Past Simple जैसा ही होता है, यानी -ed के साथ (work → worked, stop → stopped, study → studied)।
|---|---|
| V2 और V3 एक जैसे | buy – bought – bought, have – had – had, make – made – made, tell – told – told, find – found – found |
| V3 के अंत में -n / -en | see – saw – seen, eat – ate – eaten, take – took – taken, write – wrote – written, ride – rode – ridden, fly – flew – flown |
| i – a – u | drink – drank – drunk, swim – swam – swum, begin – began – begun, sing – sang – sung |
| V3 और V1 एक जैसे | come – came – come, become – became – become, run – ran – run, put – put – put |
| खास क्रियाएँ | be – was/were – been, go – went – gone, do – did – done |
have / has के बाद हमेशा V3 आता है, Past Simple नहीं: She has gone (has went नहीं), I've eaten (have ate नहीं)।
Present Perfect
I've lost my keys. I can't get into the house.
Someone has eaten my cake!
The price of rice has gone up a lot.
Guess what? Lan has passed her driving test!
The bus has just left. We'll have to wait for the next one.
3. अब तक का अनुभव — have you ever…
Have you ever been to Hoi An?
I've never eaten frog legs.
This is the first time I've driven a car.
(the first time I drive नहीं)
4. ऐसा समय जो अभी खत्म नहीं हुआ: today, this week, this year, so far…
I've had three cups of coffee today.
We haven't had much rain so far this year.
We've lived in this flat since 2019.
(We live here since 2019 नहीं)
How long have you known Minh?
They've been married for ten years.
I have lived here for five years (I live here five years नहीं)। लेकिन हर पूरा हुआ काम Present Perfect नहीं होता: yesterday जैसे बीत चुके समय के साथ अंग्रेज़ी में Past Simple आता है — I met her yesterday।
4.Gone या been
Mai isn't here. She's gone to the post office.
I've been to the post office. Here are your stamps.
Have you ever been to Japan?
Past Simple?
अगर वाक्य में कोई बीत चुका समय हो (yesterday, last week, in 2019, three days ago, when I was a child), तो Present Perfect नहीं, Past Simple लगाएँ — भले ही उसका नतीजा अभी भी मौजूद हो।
| Present perfect | Past simple |
|---|---|
| I've lost my phone. | I lost my phone yesterday. |
| Have you ever been to Da Lat? | When did you go to Da Lat? |
| She's worked here since 2020. | She worked here from 2018 to 2020. |
Just / already / yet / ever का अपना अलग पाठ है, “just / already / yet / ever के साथ Present perfect”, और for / since / ago पाठ “For / since / ago” में हैं।
I live here since I was a child.I have lived here since I was a child.
She has went home. She has gone home.
has + V3 (gone), Past Simple नहीं।
I have seen him yesterday.I saw him yesterday.
How long do you know Minh? How long have you known Minh?
This is the first time I visit Hue.This is the first time I've visited Hue.
this is the first time के बाद Present Perfect आता है।
He have finished his homework. He has finished his homework.
he/she/it → has।
- We have lived in this flat since 2019.
- I haven't finished the report yet.
- My parents have never been abroad.
- My sister has just bought a new laptop.
