According to the Ministry of Science and Technology,
6
from now until 2030, Vietnam will need around 150,000 digitally skilled workers with college-level qualifications or higher each year.

8
Meanwhile, the Vietnam IT market report 2024 to 2025 by Topdev estimates that the country still lacks around 250,000 software engineers,
9
data specialists, product managers and other tech professionals.
10

and educational institutions are an integral part of implementing three out of four strategic resolutions approved by the Politburo,

28
Under Resolution 68 on private sector development,
29
Vietnam aims to grow to 2 million businesses by 2030,
30
double the current number.
31
universities, colleges and educational institutions will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of entrepreneurs,

49
Thank you very much.
50
So what strengths does Vietnam have in developing its own workforce that is both tech-saving and adaptable to new trends?
51
During the recent decades, Vietnam made very brilliant development regarding opening the new institutions,
52
new educational organizations like universities, colleges.
53
But at the same time,
54
one of the most advantages of Vietnam is that government pays very big importance to this issue.
55
Given such a support of the government and such a trend and readiness of the educational institutions,
56
also young generation of Vietnam,
57
and also very fastly growing economy of Vietnam.
58
It is very big advantage to develop this knowledge in the country.
59
So in the context of AI rapidly changing the global economy,
60
how should educational institutions change its own way to adapt to the new era of AI?
61
Very important and interesting questions.
62
I think that in these conditions,
63
along with important reforms, important change within the country.
64
It is also important to work with foreign partners, with other countries.
65
And I know that Vietnam actively participating in many international forums,
66
platforms and events to bring this both educational knowledge as well as new to adapt to the economy,
67
to make this economy stronger and also to increase the growth rate of the economy.
68
So what recommendations should you have for Vietnam to strengthen international cooperation in training its take-work force?
69
Vietnam today is one of the most active countries in the world who actively also cooperating with international partners.
70
It is based not only on multilateral platforms like UN and other regional and international organizations but also on bilateral base.
71
Also as important part of this agenda is digital transformation
72
and exchange experience in new technologies to give importance to all these formats.
73
I mean international including plurilateral,
74
multilateral, also bilateral will give very good results in the near future.
75
Thank you so much for your time today.
76
