Today is my first full day in Sydney, Australia.

And in this video, we are going to leave the famous city center and explore a completely different site of Sydney.

Apparently, once you leave the city center, the city starts to feel very different.

So today, I want to take the ferry across the harbor, explore some of Sydney's beachside neighborhoods,

try some local food, and see what the city is like away from all the famous tourist spots.

This is a site of Sydney that most tourists never see.

But Sydney is huge, and i have never been here before

and i have no idea how easy it's going to be

to explore these parts of the city on my own

or what to expect there oh man i don't know where i ended up here

so what is sydney really like beyond the famous city center

and how different will it feel join me and let's find out okay

and we are starting our day here in the famous city center of sydney

which we are going to leave now i'm currently in a park here

and there's a very interesting looking bird here i think i've

never seen this type of bird before looks quite funny with the long mouth

and i don't know why

but for some reason i was also not expecting to see palm trees in the middle of sydney

and yeah in order to leave this city center now i want to take the ferry

so we have to get to the ferry terminal first

which is right next to the opera house

and i think we can take the metro to get there

so let's see how easy it is to use the metro

here as a foreign tourist okay i'm currently in the area

which i explored already in my previous video when i arrived here

and i see a big m over there i think

that is a metro station although i'm not sure

if i can just take any metro from any station to

get to the opera house maybe we have a map here

oh what's going on here looks like somebody is living here

but i just want to have a look at the map here see

if i can figure this out i don't even know where

i am at the moment i think somewhere here martin place maybe

and circular gray that's where i want to go you are here park street huh

it also smells pretty bad here let's see

if there's somebody i can actually talk to that's maybe easier

but i don't see any staff around here i actually think

that from here i can't get to circular crane

because in order to get there like the lines are thinner

than the thick lines okay i think i can't take the metro from this station

but i think there's another metro station like one

or two blocks away from here okay to be honest i am a bit confused now

because i see plenty of metro lines here on google maps exactly where i'm standing now

but i don't see any entrance to a metro station i

am confused maybe there's an entrance in this building right here

let's have a look i was in this building already yesterday in my arrival video

but i actually don't remember

if there was a metro downstairs lower ground town hall station i think

that could be a metro station the sign would match at

least oh it smells extremely delicious here like apple pie

or something similar huh i don't see a metro station here

either maybe i have to go one more down no

that looks like a like a supermarket down there where's the

metro station this is where the nice smell is coming from lüneburger german bakery oh

that is interesting oh

that looks like a like a proper german bakery i am very surprised to see

that ah german britian german bread rolls german bread i really miss

that but yeah i'm not here today to eat german bread we're gonna have australian food later on

but first i need to find the metro station now all right i found it town hall

that looks like the entrance of a huge metro station actually

and yeah do i need to buy a ticket um at

the airport train station i could just tap my card

so i would assume i could do the same here let me figure out

which line i need to take first

because i think there are plenty of lines here

so i need to go to here that's where we want to go circular cray

or key i'm not sure how to pronounce it

so l2 the red one okay let's see

if i can just use my card again oh

that works okay by the way i used this card also in the previous video for the airport train

and until now there was no charge on my credit card

so i actually still don't know how much i paid oh

man this is confusing what did i say l2 red how

do i know where is l2 red ah i see some lines right here

but not l2 red so where's l2 red i have to say it always surprises me

that in every western country the lack of service staff around like

if you're traveling in asia and basically every asian country there's always

so much stuff around to ask but here i don't see anyone working here

so traveling in western country requires a bit more being proactive

yourself you know same over there i don't see l2 red

okay now i'm confused i walked through the whole station now

and i haven't seen a single sign with the red l2

line oh it's actually not even on the on the signs

here anymore ah here we go again ken abroad getting lost

in metro stations nothing new on this channel right excuse me

do you work here yes I'm trying to get to the

opera house with platform six on the right two stops circular key but from six on the right

okay sounds easy thank you okay not from six on the right side

but that is not the line I had a mind

but okay let's trust this guy and see

if we end up at the right place oh yes yes the station as well circular train 48 works as well, it seems like.

Alright, and here is the train already.

Literally a minute later, I would say it looks identical to the train I took from the airport to get here.

Maybe these are just the regular metro trains here in the city.

So we have two floors here even.

The upper and the lower floor.

so today i'm trying to find out how is sydney in the local areas beyond the famous city center

side i actually have never been on a cruise before

and i have been told this is a very famous

and popular frozen yogurt store here in australia the owners are also from australia
