1
You're going in the fruits.
2
It's a little lopsided.
3
Hold on.
4
Please hold.
5
Okay, there we go.
6
Hello, everyone.
7
It's Hailey, and I'm very excited to welcome you all to a brand new series on the channel.
8
This is What's in My Kitchen.
9
Yes, we actually are in my real kitchen, in my real house.
10
This is not a set.
11
This is where I really live.
12
The reason I wanted to do this is because I am such a foodie.
13
I love trying new recipes,
14
and I wanted to bring you guys along and show you the things that I like to make.
15
So, on today's episode, I thought we would start with the most important meal of the day,
16
which supposedly is breakfast.
17
I don't know if I totally agree with that.
18
But, I wanted to give you guys two different options,
19
one being what I do when I'm like running out the door
20
and I don't have a lot of time
21
and I'm just like on my way to the gym and need a little something something.
22
and then also a recipe that I make
23
when I do have a little bit more time that is filled with protein and very delicious and sweet and yummy.
24
So I'm going to make some delicious chocolate protein pancakes.
25
These are really, really yummy and also really easy to make.
26
I'm gonna start out by doing one cup of pancake mix and that can be whatever pancake mix you prefer,
27
regular, gluten-free, whatever you want.
28
And then I'm also gonna use the Orgain chocolate protein powder,
29
two scoops of that.
30
Thanks to Orgain for sending me this yummy protein powder and protein drinks.
31
So now I'm gonna add 3 1⁄4 cup almond milk.
32
You can do whatever you prefer.
33
Oops.
34
Because that's unsweetened, I am actually gonna add a little bit of vanilla extract.
35
Okay, so now I'm gonna mix it up.
36
So I'm gonna add one egg,
37
just to kind of even out and thin out the batter a little bit.
38
You have to kind of just eye it and see when you feel like the batter is the right consistency.
39
I think for me, classic pancake batter is just a little bit runnier like that.
40
Get out all the clumps and lumps and yummy.
41
Okay, now I'm gonna add the chocolate chips.
42
I like a lot of chocolate chips in my pancakes.
43
Fold those in.
44
So next thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna cook them.
45
So I put the stove on medium heat.
46
Sometimes I'll turn it a little higher just to get the pan hot before I put the butter in.
47
So I'm gonna add some butter.
48
Spread it around the pan, as you do.
49
I like a lot of butter in the pan because I like buttery goodness in my pancakes, so.
50
I keep calling it like a healthier alternative.
51
The only thing that's a little bit healthier about it is like we are using all organic ingredients
52
and we are adding some protein.
53
But other than that, they're drenched in butter, there's chocolate.
54
So now I'm gonna scoop my first pancake.
55
I like to try to make my pancakes one at a time
56
because I get too overwhelmed trying to make multiple at the pan at once.
57
Even though I could probably fit two at a time,
58
I'm just really trying to impress you guys.
59
So I'm gonna turn this up a tiny bit.
60
And then obviously, if you've ever made pancakes before,
61
you know that when the edges start to get a little golden and cooked is when you're supposed to.
62
Okay, it is a little sad that I'm only making one at a time.
63
Maybe I'll make the next one a little bit bigger.
64
All right, well, I already messed up my pancake a little bit,
65
but you know what?
66
Perfection isn't real.
67
Woohoo!
68
Chefy ass Biebs.
69
Flipping pancakes is really stressful.
70
Like it is a scary, scary feat.
71
Turn that heat down a little bit.
72
As you can see, the butter is burning a little bit.
73
Just really yummy.
74
Okay, so that first one looks a little mangled.
75
It had a little trouble in the, in the flippage.
76
So we're just gonna keep making a couple more.
77
Okay, pancake number two.
78
You guys gonna like fast forward this?
79
Anywho, what's everybody up to this weekend?
80
I mean, that was gorgeous.
81
Gorgeous flip.
82
These are my pancakes.
83
They may not look the prettiest right now because we have to dress them up.
84
We have to get them ready.
85
So I'm gonna add a little bit of butter.
86
Okay, so I'm gonna quickly put these to the side for one second.
87
Well, they're still pretty hot.
88
And then I'm going to take Zuma Valley coconut cream.
89
You may or may not know this is the coconut cream that was in the Hailey Bieber strawberry skin glaze smoothie.
90
That was very delicious and yummy.
91
All right, it's very slippery,
92
so I'm gonna cut it open.
93
I'm gonna whip it up.
94
So it's nice and fluffy.
95
And then the last step is I'm going to take a banana.
96
These bananas were delivered from farm fresh to you.
97
And we're going to take half.
98
Put a dollop of coconut cream over the top.
99
So last step, maple syrup.
100
I'm somebody who just likes to pour maple syrup over the top.
101
I do think there's people who like to like dip it on the side.
102
I don't know about those people,
103
but that's not how I do it.
104
Yeah.
105
There you have it.
106
The chocolate protein chocolate chip pancakes with coconut cream and bananas.
107
And what we're about to do is what I like to call the perfect bite.
108
So I'm gonna cut right into these babies.
109
You better get it, cause I'm doing it.
110
And to me, that is a little coconut cream,
111
a banana, the perfect bite.
112
I'm not gonna lie, I've outdone myself.
113
These are so good.
114
Honestly, why am I a genius?
115
Zooming.
116
We these up, honestly.
117
Yum.
118
Okay, so protein coffee.
119
The first thing I'm gonna do is take this little mason jar.
120
So I'll do this pod.
121
So we're just gonna make my espresso shot.
122
One shot of espresso.
123
Okay, from there, I'm going to take this Orgain protein shake.
124
This is the creamy chocolate fudge.
125
This is the grass-fed protein one,
126
but they do also have a vegan version that's really, really delicious too.
127
Shake it up.
128
Add this to the espresso.
129
yummy goodness.
130
And then I'm gonna put the lid on and shake it up.
131
And then just pour that over ice.
132
Voila.
133
Now you have a yummy chocolate protein coffee situation.
134
