I just talk.

I just speak American English in my natural.

This is really how I talk.

Yes, this is how I talk.

I'm not talking easier for you guys.

I promise.

I swear I'm not.

This is how I really talk.

And it's just naturally well enunciated.

And well, this is what they tell me.

And so it's easy to understand, but it's extremely realistic it's extremely realistic american english it's super

just simple everyday normal stuff this is how we talk nothing

too crazy nothing too uncommon i don't use like strange uncommon phrases

that most people don't use like i speak the most standard normal everyday american english

and it's for you to listen to

and to actively yourself repeat after me you might have to stop the video sometimes to do so properly.

You might want to stop it.

You might not.

That's up to you.

But it's for however you want to use this content.

Some people just want to listen to it and that's it.

Some people are going to need to practice their speaking.

Okay.

If you're one of these people who's like, man, I understand English, but I just don't speak.

Like I need to practice speaking.

Well, guess what?

Nobody is going to come and rescue you from that.

Nobody's going to show up on your doorstep

and say hey let's speak let's talk in English

and it's like especially a native speaker it's not going to show up on your doorstep

and do that so you got to speak yourself in your room

or wherever you are hopefully at your house listening to this

you got to be practicing speaking you got to be autodidactic

this is how I learned Spanish I watch videos like this

and I said wait let me try to say that

and then I would say it and then I try to talk like the YouTubers that I watched.

Okay.

That's what you got to do.

That's all it is.

I say this a million times in a trillion different ways, but that's what it is.

All right.

So today we're going to get back into a topic that everybody seems to like.

And I like as well.

It's quite entertaining.

It is a topic that kind of requires you, well, it doesn't require you, but it's kind of better if you watch it, or at least you look at the screen sometimes,

because I'm going to be sharing some pictures some pictures from my life

and i'm mostly just going to be talking about the pictures

and talking about all the things that pop into my head related to the pictures

and obviously talking about my life and everything

that these pictures make me think of

and you'll learn a lot of english through that

or you'll be exposed to a lot through that

but also you get a little peek into my life you get to look at these pictures

that may or may not be interesting to you To me, they are because remember, I don't have a lot of pictures.

I only keep pictures that I really like that are special to me.

And my picture collection is so small.

In fact, it's so small

that I think this is the last video I'm going to make talking about pictures

because I really don't have that many more.

And the other ones that I have are pictures of me with other people.

And I don't really want to share that on this channel because I don't have their consent.

I don't have the consent of all those people

and I don't want to be putting their faces on on my channel

when you know they they didn't consent to that

so I think this is going to be the last picture video

but don't worry my next video I think is going to be something really interesting

that is also unexpected and yeah I think it will be cool

so stay tuned for the next video about a different topic

but maybe even more interesting than this one all right so let's get into it.

All right, so for this video, I took a look at my Asia folder.

I have some pictures from my eight months in Asia.

By the way, this word months, when it's just singular, when it's month with the th, we do pronounce the th.

Month, month, month, month, month.

It's subtle, but it's there.

But when it's plural, when it's months, we often just say months.

There's like no th.

Why? because the ths would be weird it's hard to do

so sometimes we don't pronounce things how it looks simply

because we think it's hard to pronounce yes even native speakers

we it doesn't it doesn't set it doesn't feel right coming out of the mouth

so that's why we say months months same thing with clothes we don't say clothes clothes

because that's just like it doesn't feel right in the mouth.

It's hard.

It doesn't flow.

So we just say close.

clothes like close the door same thing clothes i'm wearing clothes

by the way i always wear this thing lately i've been wearing this um i almost called it a jacket

but it's not really a jacket

or a sweatshirt i call it my robe thing even though

it's not either it's not even a robe either uh

but it's it's just a fluffy um thing that keeps me warm

and it's cozy

So we're coming out of like winter transitioning into spring right now in Argentina, and it's still a little chilly.

Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand.

It's in the north of Thailand.

It's an amazing city.

I spent most of my time in Thailand in Chiang Mai, basically almost the whole time.

It's a city that has a ton of temples.

It's very touristy, a lot of temples and it's a cute city.

It's a nice city to ride around on the motorbike.

It's not too crazy like Bangkok in the South.

Chiang Mai is a cool city, very touristy, but very, very nice.

And I could have taken a picture of a lot of different temples, but this is the only one that I kept because I just thought it was so cool.

It's actually a little bit outside of the city.

And I went with a couple of friends on the scooters, on the motorbikes, and we went to this temple in the nighttime.

And I think it looks so cool with the black background and the golden temple.

which happened to be pink, my first moped that I learned to drive on.

I, I this here, I was like, it was either the day, I think it was the day that I learned to drive, actually.

She was a German woman, a German girl.

She's a little bit younger than me.

I met her there and I met her at a vegan restaurant.

And when people, sometimes I tell people like how fun it is to ride the mopeds around Asia.

And they always say like, oh, I don't have a license.

So I don't know how to drive.

We just, we, we learned really quick when we were there.

Cause it's, it's just fun.

And it's so easy to rent motorbikes and like, it's so relaxed and like, it's, it is dangerous.

Like wear your helmet and be like, don't go too fast.

Luckily in Thailand, I think they drive pretty relaxed, like pretty, pretty like they orderly, like they follow the rules.

And I felt like the driving was pretty chill and organized and good in Thailand.

Vietnam was a lot more chaotic.

Vietnam, like I sometimes felt like fear for my life riding a motorbike in Vietnam.

Sometimes they were a little bit too crazy there.

And they also drive on the opposite side of the road, but it's easy to get used to that.

But anyway, well, the opposite for me, because I'm from the Americas where we drive on the right side, but it depends where you're from.

But anyway, I drove also a scooter when I was in Bali, but Bali is like full of traffic.

I probably will never go back to Bali.

Bali is a beautiful place, but it's just, it's too touristy.

It's too much traffic and I don't want to deal with that.

So anyways, this was when I learned how to ride and I have a mushroom helmet on.

It's like a mushroom design and it's so big and it just looks so funny.

If I hadn't met her, yeah, if I hadn't met her, or maybe I would have learned, but like later on or something, you know, I had just gotten to Asia for the first time.

It was my first month that I was there and I met her and she, she taught me and yeah.

The first time I tried it, I was a little like, whoa, like a little scared to just be automatically driving on the road in Thailand.

And like, it was like, I was a little nervous about it.

Cause also I have not driven a car since like I was 19.

I had a car when I lived in the United States

and I was 19 and I used to drive that car everywhere and in cities and I was fine.

I was a good driver, but it's been like eight, nine years.

So I was like, you know, feeling kind of rusty.

And then I'd never driven something like this, but the motorbike is super easy.

The scooter is super easy.

This mopeds, mopeds are super easy you can pick it up

so fast you can you can pick it up meaning like

you can like learn a new skill you can pick up a new skill like this super fast it's not

that hard yeah anyways that's that's the story behind this picture it's it was hot of course

so I'm wearing like very minimal clothing and

and it's it's funny because a lot of the locals

because they avoid the sun

and they you know they don't want to of course I

think it was late late in the day at this time

and they are just covered head to toe in clothes

So the last thing I want to do is end up in the hospital there over this.

and anyways we we went to a smaller town very touristy town.

It's called Pai up in the north of Thailand.

It's like a three -hour ride from Chiang Mai and goes up in the mountains.

And we rode that.

We went up there with the motorbikes.

I say motorbikes, but it's this.

We drove.

Well, of course, the one that I took up to Pai, it wasn't this.

This is like a little going around town motorbike or moped.

But the one that I took up to pie was more like designed for longer travel and like higher power.

This one is like a little city one, you know, a little just going to the store type thing.

But yeah, anyways, that was a fun adventure.

We went, we drove three hours on these and it's just, it's beautiful.

Like on a nice sunny day, the wind blowing and riding the motorbike.

But I don't miss fearing for my life because there were times when I was just like, oh, my God, like any any moment I could crash and die, like any moment I could get hurt.

And I don't deal with that.

You know, I have much decreased.

I have a much lower risk of injury and accidents

when I'm not riding a moped every day in a in a city with other people riding around,

you know, chaos and stuff or just being on the open road where there's cars

and there's motorbikes here in Latin America i don't where i

am now i don't have a vehicle of my own and

so it's just it decreases my risk of something happened to me happening to me

and this is that is something i think about i always think about

that i'm like geez like because that would suck because

because all it takes is you know some people some people get in bad accidents

and like when they least expect it and you never know you never know

so i don't live my life in fear

but car accidents are very common especially where i come from in the us yeah

and every time i see an accident in latin america there's always like some motorbike involved

so fun that's the thing it's so fun motorbikes are

that i want to talk about or show you from asia is um okay

so vietnam has my favorite cuisine in the world it's a paradise for vegans.

And it's just, it's my favorite food and my favorite place for food in the world that I have experienced.

I love Thai food.

I love many other cuisines, many other countries, but Vietnam to me, oh, I just love their food so much.

hanoi hanoi has a lot of vegan buffets it's probably like

the best i don't love like i don't think i'd want to live in hanoi

but i love the fact that there's just so many vegan buffets everywhere in Hanoi.

It's really great for that.

So anyways, this is one of them

and they're very cheap compared to like the United States compared to even like a lot of countries here in Latin America.

When I was there, it was around like three, $4 to go to a buffet like this.

All you can eat like three or $4.

And that's just unheard of.

Like my brain can't even comprehend how that's even possible in 2026.

But, but anyways, it is, and it's in Vietnam.

So yeah, I, I love the vegan food in all the places I went to in Asia.

They had great vegan food.

Asia is really just especially like Southern Asia.

It's just really, really, really like a paradise for vegans it's just there's

so much stuff for us and it's just yeah it's just

so much like plant food culture there and it's just

so it's so like understood they are they have even their own words for it

and it's like i don't know it's just it's like a historically cultural known thing

that has existed yeah i think there's like a day or two a month that Vietnamese people tend to

eat plant -based for like cultural reasons anyways.

So anyways, it's just, it's a cool thing for us.

And all of these countries that I went to, they have amazing food, but Vietnam was the only place where I saw like so many of these kind of buffets, like vegan buffets.

It's just, they're really, they're really into that.

And Vietnam also was the place, the number one place in my life for just like freshness of like vegetables

and like the priority of eating vegetables with food like think

about it a lot of countries famous cuisines like a lot

of you know famous cuisines of certain you know the gastronomy

of certain countries what they're most famous for is not like the things the foods

that you think of

when you think of like most famous foods of different countries you don't usually think of

that being served with like a lot of like fresh vegetables on the side um

but in vietnam that is the case

so everything is served with a lot of like fresh vegetable

and a lot of times there's like cooked vegetable raw vegetable

the food is just really healthy it just all feels really

healthy they eat a lot of herbs a lot of veggies it just all feels

so fresh and i think that's lacking in a lot of cuisines in the world um

because i'm vegan and if you don't know what vegans eat like

if you don't know much about plant -based food you might think

that all we eat is fresh vegetables

but the reality is we don't we we eat all the same food

that you do but in like a plant -based version so

when i go to mexico i have vegan tacos and

when i go to argentina where i am now i'm having vegan empanadas with with like vegan soy meat

and seitan and i'm having like vegan version of you know vegan meats

and vegan cheese and i'm having milanesa you know vegan meal

and i'm having you know vegan pizza and burgers

and vegan chinese vegan chicken

and like you know i'm like all the different you know i have ramen with the tofu

and whatever like i have all the same things

but just the vegan version so it's not necessarily

that we're eating all these all these veggies but but vietnam regardless of if whether you eat animals or not,

they all really prioritize like just eating a lot of vegetable and a lot of fresh vegetable.

It just feels very healthy.

And a lot of their cuisine is just like noodle soups with a lot of stuff in it, you know, veggies and meats, vegan meats in my case,

like, you know, or tofu or some, you know, different things.

They have the best broths like I've ever had in my life.

I never used to think that I even really liked soup until I went there.

And now I'm obsessed I'm like I think noodle soup is

I would take a Vietnamese noodle soup over ramen any day

and ramen's great it's another noodle soup it's more like Japanese

style there's a lot of great noodle soups there's a lot of great soups there's a lot of great noodles

and dish and food in general but there's something about a Vietnamese noodle soup

and the best Vietnamese food

that I ate I have never had outside of Vietnam there's a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around the world

and they have some of the most like the most famous dishes

and the classic things they have the pho and the whatever

but the best things the best soups and the best things

that i had when i was there i have only had there

and i've been to many vietnamese restaurants in the united states

and you know other places but just it just doesn't compare to to being in vietnam

so anyways i took a picture of this buffet

because it's also just really it was a really beautiful place um this was the first first night

that I arrived in Hanoi, I think I got there and I went to eat there and I was just, I think, yeah, I actually think it was my first night in Vietnam, like ever.

I think, yeah, I think this was actually my first, my first night in Vietnam, my first day.

And I was just amazed.

I knew about this.

I knew that they had places like this, but it was one thing to hear about it and a one, another thing to actually see it and be there.

And I just thought this place was

and the the decorations and i stood up on the stairs

so i was like higher up i was above everything i could see everything

and i just thought it was so beautiful and such a dream

and it just is amazing and this this lady here sitting at the counter she was

so nice yeah i was just like blown away i i'm

just like trying to think of words to describe this

but this is a really cool exciting time

and actually i was there in winter

so it was in the north of Vietnam Hanoi

so it was actually chilly it was actually cold it's only cold for like a couple months

and then it gets warm again but still in the north it gets chilly

but it was all right we were inside there

and it was it was fine but yeah so I love this picture

and I love Vietnam I love Vietnamese food amazing yeah I

ended up in total spending several months think i spent like three

or four months in vietnam total i spent a few months

in thailand as well those countries were where i where i spent most of my time in southeast asia

but i also spent a few weeks in cambodia

and i spent 10 days in malaysia specifically in penang

and what i'm going to show you next is the whole reason i went to penang malaysia

so this is what i did i spent about eight months in Southeast Asia, right?

Mostly in Thailand, Vietnam, whatever.

And I planned my last 10 days in Asia before I went back to Latin America.

I, I, I miss, I love Asia, but I miss Latin America.

I want to go back.

My heart is in Latin America.

So anyways, I, I went back to, I went to Mexico, but my last 10 days before I left Asia,

I planned a trip to Penang, Malaysia.

It's like a, it's kind of like a island on the, off the coast of Malaysia.

And it has a city, a main city called Georgetown.

I actually never went to that city.

I stayed kind of in the suburbs outside of that city.

I stayed somewhere else in the island, a little bit closer to the airport, if you're familiar with the area.

But basically it's an island where there is like some residential area.

And then there are just tons of like nature and durian farms, fruit farms, but specifically there are a lot of durian farms.

Now what is durian?

Durian is called the king of fruit in Asia.

Durian is probably the most famous like special fruit in Asia.

It is very controversial.

A lot of people don't like it.

A lot of people don't like the smell of it.

It's actually banned in certain public spaces because of the smell.

You're not supposed to be eating it in the airport or on the bus or, or in a hotel, or I don't know.

There are certain places where you're not supposed to be just eating it

because it has a very strong smell and a lot of people don't like it.

It bothers them.

And so it's this, it's this controversial fruit, but I have always loved durian.

I first tried it.

Durian is a fruit that if you've never been to Asia, you there's a high chance you've never had it or seen it, or you don't even know what it is.

But I actually had it when I was in Ecuador because there are some gringos,

there are some people from the United States who live in Ecuador and have small fruit farms and grow it like privately,

like not for commercial reasons, but just they have their own private farms and they grow durian.

And there's also some in Costa Rica.

And yeah, so there are certain people, there's people in Hawaii also growing durian.

There are certain people, mostly gringos, like mostly like people from the U S or maybe Europe who know about this, who grow it like fruit nerds,

you know, fruit nerds know about durian and they grow it if they can in their climate.

It's a very tropical fruit.

You can't, I don't think you can grow it in Florida.

Florida is not tropical enough.

You can grow bananas and stuff in Florida, but it's not like ultra tropical, like, well, like the jungle of Ecuador or, you know, Hawaii or whatever.

So it's a super tropical fruit, but you can grow it in any super tropical area.

So you can grow it all through the super tropical part of Latin America that gets a lot of rain, you know, from the south of Mexico down through, you know, the Amazon and stuff.

You can absolutely grow it.

And some people do grow it.

I know people who have it on their farms, but generally it's not known yet by the general population of Latin America.

But the first time I had it was in Ecuador from one of the gringo farms

and since I tried it I loved it and I wanted more

and I knew because I'm also a fruit nerd

and I'm in the fruit nerd community

and I had some even some durian plants some little baby trees on the on my farm back

when I had a farm I abandoned it and

if you didn't understand that video where I talked about my farm

because we abandoned the land it turned into a jungle again like all the fruit trees died

and whatever because you have to take care of it you have to protect them from the ferocious jungle

or it will they will be killed

I'm going to wait for my last 10 days of my trip.

I'm going to go to Penang, which is like durian paradise, uh, one of them.

And then I ended up at one point talking to my Airbnb hosts and it's a family, a local family, and they love durian

and they took me to one of their favorite farms and they ate durian with me.

So I got to eat durian with a local family in Malaysia and we got to just feast on durian together.

And that was just a really cool experience.

And Malaysia has a pretty high level of English, maybe not as high level, maybe not as high as the Philippines.
