1
I ain't no liar.
2
Good evening, everybody.
3
Tonight, I am going to show you my night routine.
4
I've already got my PJs on, and now I'm going to wash my face and take all of my makeup off.
5
First, I have to remove my eyeliner and mascara, so I use some remover with a cotton pad.
6
I just wipe my eyebrows and my eyelids with the cotton pad.
7
The makeup I wear is very stubborn, so it takes a while to remove.
8
I actually hate taking my makeup off.
9
It's always such a pain and I feel very lazy at night.
10
But I know it's better for my skin, so I have to do it.
11
I have to force myself to do it.
12
After I remove my eye makeup, it's time to cleanse my skin.
13
I double cleanse, starting with an oil cleanser, and then I go in with a foam cleanser.
14
Before coming to Korea, I was really bad at skincare.
15
But I met my husband and he introduced me to K-beauty and all the skincare stuff here.
16
I'm really grateful to him for that.
17
I think later I'll be very happy that I'm taking care of my skin now.
18
No, I mean take it off.
19
I've finished with my oil cleanser and I'm going to rinse it off with water.
20
Warm water.
21
Now I'm going to go in with my foam cleanser.
22
I like to get it nice and bubbly.
23
I always try and do a circular motion with my hands while rubbing it in. And we rinse again.
24
I finished rinsing all of the cleanser off of my face.
25
So I'm just going to pat my face with the towel to dry it off.
26
My skin is dry and now I'm going to use a toner.
27
And I just rub it again all over my face to make sure that there is no makeup at all.
28
Looks like I did a pretty good job cleansing.
29
For the last step of my skincare routine, I use eye cream and serum.
30
And these are both for wrinkles because I'm not getting any younger, unfortunately.
31
I take off the lid.
32
Oops, I almost dropped the lid.
33
And I just use my ring finger and take a tiny amount
34
and put it on my under eyes and at the corner of my eyes.
35
I smile a lot, which I'm grateful for because that means I'm living a good life.
36
But it gives me a lot of wrinkles here.
37
Last step is my wrinkle serum.
38
so I use the dropper to get a bit of the serum
39
and put it mostly on my forehead because that's my problem area.
40
I raise my eyebrows a lot so I'm really starting to see the wrinkles coming in
41
on my forehead and I want to try and prevent that.
42
This is another thing I learned in Korea.
43
I never used to hit my face or slap my face before when doing skincare.
44
Now I know it helps it absorb.
45
My face is feeling nice and fresh so I'm gonna go to my kitchen
46
and make a hot cup of I just filled the electric kettle with water
47
so that we can boil water for my tea.
48
Strogu.
49
What the?
50
I put a bag of peppermint tea in my mug and now I'll pour the water into the mug.
51
I've got my tea and now the fun begins.
52
I love the smell of candles and how cozy it makes my house feel.
53
So this is a very important part of my night routine.
54
I just got a cheap candle at Daiso but it smells pretty good.
55
So I take my lighter and light the candle.
56
This is apricot and magnolia.
57
It's a good combo.
58
As you can see, I've got a stack of books over here.
59
I'm a huge bookworm and I love to read.
60
I just started this book, Where the Crawdads Sing.
61
It's very popular in the US, but I'm only on chapter one, so I'm really hoping it's good.
62
I also have this book which is actually my journal.
63
I'm very, very bad at journaling,
64
so this has a lot of journal prompts and questions to help me figure out what to write about.
65
I much prefer reading over journaling, so I'm gonna start with this first and get it out of the way.
66
Mmm!
67
Tonight's journal prompt is very interesting.
68
It says, What does security with a friend mean to you?
69
Maybe you can let me know in the comments what it means to you.
70
First, I have to think and reflect a little bit because this is not an easy question.
71
Okay, I know what I'm gonna say.
72
I think my tea is finally cool enough that I can take my first sip.
73
You can still see steam coming up from it though.
74
This always makes me so nervous.
75
Mmm!
76
I love herbal tea.
77
It's very calming.
78
I'm going to enjoy my tea while I read my book.
79
This is honestly probably my most consistent part of my night routine and my morning routine because I genuinely enjoy it.
80
I'm getting pretty sleepy, so I'm going to go upstairs to bed.
81
First, I need to blow out the candle.
82
I've already crawled into bed, so I'm going to take two pills of magnesium.
83
I always take magnesium before bed because it helps me sleep really deeply.
84
I've got my water bottle here.
85
I'm just going to wash these pills down with some water.
86
Two things I must have when I sleep are my bonnet.
87
It's a silk bonnet for my hair and I started using this
88
because I heard it's really good for hair health and I also Use my silk eye mask.
89
I'm a very sensitive sleeper So if there's any kind of light
90
or noise it really bothers my sleep So I use this to block out any kind of light.
91
I'll take my hair out and On you lose the bonnet.
92
Wow.
93
I'm really letting you guys in on my life here.
94
The beauty secrets of a woman.
95
Then I layered up with my eye mask.
96
I'm always looking real good.
97
Today was a really great but long day,
98
so I hope I get a good night's sleep and I hope I don't dream too much.
99
I usually dream a lot and it kind of disturbs my sleep, so fingers crossed that I only have sweet dreams.
100
