1
This video will feature the benefits and proper use of UltraSnap, Hygiena’s best-selling ATP sanitation monitoring test.
2
UltraSnap is a user-friendly ATP test used for assessing the cleanliness of food contact surfaces and other processing equipment after cleaning.
3
Together, UltraSnap and Hygiena’s hand held meters measure the ATP present in a sample.
4
ATP is the energy molecule found in all living cells and the presence of ATP signifies whether or not a surface is clean.
5
Test results are delivered in 15 seconds and are expressed in Relative Light Units or RLUs.
6
An RLU result is directly proportional to the amount of ATP collected from the sample, so the greater the amount of ATP, the greater the RLU number, and the dirtier the surface.
7
UltraSnap’s pre-moistened swab bud breaks through biofilms and ensures maximum sample collection for accurate results.
8
The liquid-stable chemistry in Hygiena’s patented Snap-Valve is facilitates superior sensitivity and reliable results.
9
UltraSnap has a shelf life of 15 months at refrigerated temperatures and 4 weeks at room temperature.
10
Turn on the luminometer before you begin testing to allow time for the systems calibration self-check to run.
11
If you've already programmed test locations into your luminometer with SureTrend software, select the location to be tested.
12
Remove the swab from the tube.
13
Swab a 4x4 in (10x10cm) square area in a criss-cross pattern, swabbing the area with even coverage.
14
Apply sufficient pressure to maximize sample collection and improve the accuracy of test results.
15
Be sure not to touch the swab shaft when collecting sample.
16
This could contaminate the test and cause inaccurate results.
17
Rotate the swab tip while swabbing to ensure maximum sample collection.
18
When swabbing an irregular surface, ensure the swabbing technique remains consistent and swab a large enough area to collect a representative sample.
19
Replace the swab in the tube.
20
The easiest way to activate UltraSnap is to hold the device in your fist and use the thumb and forefinger to break the Snap-Valve by bending the bulb forward and backward.
21
Next, squeeze the bulb twice to expel liquid into the tube.
22
Then shake for 5 seconds.
23
Insert the swab into the read chamber and close the lid.
24
Hold the luminometer upright and press OK to initiate measurement.
25
Results will be displayed in 15 seconds.
26

28
To get the most out of your monitoring system, use Hygiena’s complimentary SureTrend software to track and trend your test results.
29
SureTrend software provides invaluable access to preset and customizable reports, making it easy to recognize trends and analyze sanitation effectiveness.
30

What is the Shadowing Technique?

Shadowing is a science-backed language learning technique originally developed for professional interpreter training and popularized by polyglot Dr. Alexander Arguelles. The method is simple but powerful: you listen to native English audio and immediately repeat it out loud — like a shadow following the speaker with just a 1–2 second delay. Unlike passive listening or grammar drills, shadowing forces your brain and mouth muscles to simultaneously process and reproduce real speech patterns. Research shows it significantly improves pronunciation accuracy, intonation, rhythm, connected speech, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency — making it one of the most effective methods for IELTS Speaking preparation and real-world English communication.
