Sometimes at live shows you cover whole albums.

You did Monster of Puppets, Number of the Beast, Dark Side of Moon, Made in Japan.

Which one was the hardest to do and why?

I don't know.

I think maybe

Made in Japan just because we were...

Just because of our scheduling and stuff like that, we were doing a lot of shows.

I was learning memorizing the lyrics in between and stuff like that.

But not musically, it was pretty easy.

But I think that one and maybe

Number of the Beast, it was the same situation.

Which, I mean, we're aware of that.

I mean, when we're out on the road and we're planning on covering a classic album, we're doing two things at once.

We're concentrating on our shows and our music as well as learning someone else's music.

Why these albums?

Because they are albums that we grew up, we were inspired by, that we think are classic rock albums of their time.

And it's our way of just saying, you know, here's our interpretation and here's us paying homage to a great and fantastic album from that band.

Is that one that is most special for you?

Well, actually, doing

Dark Side of the Moon was pretty incredible.

And we had Theresa who was doing all the background female vocals and that.

And she had been with us on the Scenes from New York DVD.

So there's a bit of a history there with her so that was kind of cool because it was a little bit,

it was very deep in that sense

and it just had a really great vibe and you could tell everyone was really into it.

Not that they haven't been into whenever we're doing any like

Master of Puppets or Number of the Beast or anything like that, I mean the people were totally into it.

Yeah, any plans for doing that again?

Well, definitely, I mean, we're going to be doing,

you know, stuff like, like a, fuck you.

I'm looking at that guy there, interrupting us.

Anyways, we're going to be doing, yeah, definitely, we're going to be covering a lot of classic albums.

It's just a matter of, it's timing, you know, when we're going to do something and when we can do this.

But we definitely plan on, in the future, we will continue to cover.

Don't get this question wrong, but I was thinking, you can imagine that people think because you're doing this,

is it not a little bit disparaging from Dream Theater?

Is this not that hard, this music to play?

No, no, I don't think it's that.

I mean, you know, it's not a matter of us doing something that we feel is challenging.

It's something that we feel inspired us.

It's something that we feel that we can, we respect.

So it has nothing to do with whether it's complicated or technical like we are, because there's many different sides to Dream Theater as well.

It's not just all about the progressiveness.

There's also metal, there's also classic rock, there's also alternative influence in our music, and even pop influence to a certain degree.

So it's stuff that we feel is really our way of saying, this album had an impact on us,

and we feel that it'd be really cool for our fans to hear this album with us doing it.
