good morning guys it's syd and welcome back

so you read the title right we're doing a little self

-care vlog today i wanted to show you guys what i

like to do on my like self -care days i think what's important for me is

that i schedule them and kind of like a lot a specific day

or time for it because it just makes it feel like more intentional

so we're gonna be doing some like fun pampering things

which i'm really happy about i'm gonna get a coffee i'm

gonna get a massage i'm really sweating myself today i want

to journal journals a really big part of a self -care day for me

and i want to work out i think actually that's the first thing i'm gonna do

but to me what's more important than all of these things

combined is deleting my social media it can be really toxic to like constantly be going on

and you won't even realize it sometimes i just click on instagram and i don't even register what I'm doing.

So I'm gonna delete my apps first before I even like start anything and this is so relieving.

I used to do this when I was 13, 14.

I would delete my social media for a week at a time

and even then when I was like so much younger it made me feel so good.

So if you're feeling inspired after this or right now you should just do it for a day.

Just delete it for one day.

so eye -opening that's the first step for me it's the

most important to me for out of all of these some days i just do this

and nothing else hopefully it inspires you to just like take

some time for yourself whether it's an hour a full day

whenever you can spare time it doesn't even have to involve

like spending money it can just be like going on a walk listening to your favorite song Getting a coffee for yourself.

The first thing i'm gonna do is go to the gym

get in a little workout For me mentally going to the gym has been

so helpful You guys know I used to like I barely stepped foot in a gym

and now the past year I've really gotten into working out

because I just feel

so much better after I work out mentally That's like the

number one reason it like changes my mood for the day

So i'm gonna go do a little workout right now and take you guys with me

i get bored easily when it comes to working out

so i like to always switch things up sometimes i'll do a workout class

that they have at my gym

or other times i'll just go on a walk outside

and then occasionally i like to follow a youtube video workout

thing i'm gonna link some of my favorite videos below

that in case you were looking for inspo they don't even

require weights i also need a new workout playlist actually i was just gonna say

that so if you guys have one that you'd be willing to share definitely please let me know

okay guys i just got out of the gym i want to say

that i feel better because this whole video is like a self -care video

but i actually like don't feel

that good i don't know why maybe i need to eat

but it was a really good workout i've been trying to run more

which i that's the only part of my workout i didn't

show i've been trying to work my way up i'm like

the worst runner ever i have no stamina i have no endurance

so my goal well i guess i don't have a specific goal for like how many miles

or time i want to run

but i'm just trying to improve now i'm at one of

my favorite restaurants recently it's called pure vita it's healthy they have like really good bowls

so i just ordered a chicken bowl

that comes with like peppers rice veggies yeah and i'm gonna eat so aesthetic in here

okay guys i ended up stopping at blank street to get a little matcha

which i i was gonna do a taste test

and then i'm sorry i forgot i got their new cookies

and cream matcha it was okay i think i rate it

like a seven now i'm gonna go to sephora i need

to pick up a couple things i know i need to get like shampoo and conditioner

and then i want to get some like self -care skincare stuff too for like face masks tonight

so i picked up a few random things i've been needing one of them being shampoo

and conditioner and then i did some extra shopping

that i definitely did not need to do

which i'll show you guys in my haul by the way i know i've asked you guys before

but if anyone has tried this red light therapy face mask please let me know it's just

so expensive so i need some people to tell me what they think target was my next stop

and these were a bit more essential things

that i was needing i'll also show you guys in my

haul you guys can probably guess my next stop aritzia there was no need for me to go in here

and i actually didn't buy anything this time so that was

good for me i have no closet space left the last

stop was a pedicure i had an appointment i actually got a fun pink color

which i never really do since i'm going on a little trip next week okay guys i didn't do

that much damage actually i was gonna say i just did some damage

and i really didn't i had self -control today i didn't yesterday as you can see by

that shopping bag i've been trying to be fiscally responsible bailey's

probably like just shut up just show me what you got bailey's my editor

if you guys didn't know that's why i keep saying

that okay so first thing i went to sephora i had a gift card to use actually

which also prompted me to do this my hair is

so fine let me just start with like a little bit of context

because my hair is so fine my hair gets oily

and greasy so fast i'm a wash your hair daily girl i know you're not supposed to do

that and for me one of my favorite shampoo and conditioners

that i like is the living proof full shampoo

and full conditioner this is specifically for people with fine

or thin hair which is me so i needed a restock of shampoo and conditioner

so i picked these up i also got a new brow

sculpt from refi this is their clear brow gel i like

to just put brow gel on after i fill in my brows

because otherwise my eyebrows kind of go crazy i love refi first of all i love their branding it's

so sleek it's

so clean girl i also got a refi lip gloss what i like about this gloss is

because i just like having fresh taste after i eat anytime i'm home

my tea i've been really liking tea recently i didn't grow up really liking tea a ton

but what i'm trying to say is being in like complete still silence is something

because i'd always have either my phone or i'd have music in

or i'd be watching a show and to just have no outside noise

and just being still truly i think is so important for everyone

and I found it also to be a valuable time for me to pray

and work on my relationship with God and just be present in myself

people they don't love my birthday um i do i mean i like being with my friends

and family and celebrating but sometimes i get like really sad

and emotional on my birthday and then the next day i'm like completely fine

so i am actually very excited to turn 25

and step into like this new year in my mid 20s very proud of myself

and how much i've grown i would say in the past year honestly

and i do now believe what they've always said your brain fully forms once you're 25

but i felt it i didn't like feel it all at once

or five years looking back at how much mentally i've grown

i just feel like i have a more holistic perspective on things i i can't even explain it

but i get it and they always would say wait till you're 25
