Lektion 86 · Etappe 7: Nomen, Artikel & Begleiter

All / most / some / none of

Mittelstufe

Form & Gebrauch

most people vs most of the people, all of us, none of them — wie viel von einer Gruppe

1.Mit of oder ohne of?

Wörter wie all, most, some, any, many, much, a few, half, no / none stehen vor einem Nomen und sagen, wie viel von etwas.

Allgemein — ohne ofEine bestimmte Gruppe — of + the/my…
allAll children like games. All (of) the children in my class like games.
mostMost people have a phone. Most of the people I know have a phone.
someSome shops open on Sundays. Some of the shops on this street open on Sundays.
no / noneThere are no easy answers.None of my answers were right.

„Eine bestimmte Gruppe“ heißt: Vor dem Nomen steht the, my, your, these, those, this, that, Lan's… Dann brauchst du of: most of the people, some of my friends. Ohne diese Wörter fällt of weg: most people, some friends.

  • Most people in Vietnam ride motorbikes.

Die meisten Menschen in Vietnam fahren Motorrad. (allgemein → ohne of)

  • Most of the people at the party were students.

(eine bestimmte Gruppe → most of the)

  • Some of my classmates live in the city centre.

Einige meiner Mitschüler wohnen im Stadtzentrum.

  • I spent most of the weekend in bed.

Lernende sagen oft „most of people“. Tipp: Direkt nach of muss ein Wort wie the, my, these oder them stehen. Fehlt es, lass of weg: most people. Und setz hier kein the vor most, auch wenn man auf Deutsch „die meisten“ sagt: „the most of the students“ ist falsch — the most ist der Superlativ.

2.All und half: of ist freiwillig

Nur bei all und half kannst du of weglassen vor the / my / this…: all my friends = all of my friends, half the cake = half of the cake. Setz aber kein the davor: nicht „the all students“ oder „the half of the cake“.

  • All (of) my friends live nearby.

Alle meine Freunde wohnen in der Nähe. (mit oder ohne of)

  • We ate half (of) the cake before dinner.

  • All students must wear a uniform.

Alle Schüler müssen eine Uniform tragen. (allgemein → ohne of)

3.Vor Pronomen: of ist Pflicht

Vor it, us, you, them brauchst du immer of — auch bei all und half: all of us, half of it, none of them.

+ it (eine Sache, unzählbar)+ us / you / them
all ofall of itall of us
most ofmost of itmost of them
some ofsome of itsome of you
none ofnone of itnone of them
  • The teacher gave all of us a sticker.

  • Do any of you speak Japanese?

Spricht jemand von euch Japanisch? (zu drei oder mehr Personen gesagt)

  • I liked the film, but I didn't understand all of it.

  • My cousins came, but none of them stayed for dinner.

They were all tired. / I invited them all.

4.Allein stehend und die Verbform

Wenn klar ist, was gemeint ist, können most, some, half, none, a few… ohne Nomen stehen (oder mit of them / of it). all steht als Subjekt oder Objekt aber normalerweise nicht allein — nimm everyone / everything (siehe Lektion „All / every / each / whole“).

  • A few shops were open, but most were closed.

  • I wanted some cake, but there was none left.

  • Some people love durian, and some hate it.

Das Verb richtet sich nach dem Nomen nach of: Most of the money is gone (money ist unzählbar → Singular), Most of the students are here (Plural → Plural). No / none / any, nothing / nobody“).

5.None of oder not all?

Für „null“ nimmst du none of. Für „nicht 100 %“ nimmst du not all (of) oder not every-. Ein Satz wie „All of my friends didn't come“ ist unklar (ist niemand gekommen oder nur einige nicht?), deshalb vermeidest du ihn besser.

  • None of my friends came.

Keiner meiner Freunde ist gekommen. (niemand ist gekommen)

  • Not all (of) my friends came. Some were busy.

Nicht alle meine Freunde sind gekommen. Manche hatten keine Zeit. (einige sind gekommen)

  • Not everyone likes spicy food.

    Nicht jeder mag scharfes Essen.

6.Typische Fehler

  • Most of people want a good job.

Most people want a good job.

    Allgemein → ohne of.

  • Some my classmates live in the city.

Some of my classmates live in the city.

Vor my/the brauchst du of (nur bei all und half kann es wegfallen).

  • The teacher called all us to the front.

The teacher called all of us to the front.

Vor einem Pronomen ist of Pflicht.

  • The most of the students passed.

    Most of the students passed.

Kein the vor most, wenn es „die Mehrheit“ bedeutet.

  • All of students must wear a uniform.

All students / All (of) the students must wear a uniform.

Wenn du of benutzt, muss the/my… folgen.

  • Most of the money are gone.

Most of the money is gone.

money ist unzählbar → Verb im Singular.

Beispiele

  • Most people like listening to music.
  • I invited ten friends, but none of them came.
  • All of my friends are married now.
  • I made twenty spring rolls and all of them were eaten. There's nothing left.
