Superlativ
AnfängerSuperlatives
Form & Gebrauch
the -est / the most … – das Höchste oder Niedrigste einer Gruppe
1.Form
Kurze Adjektive: the + -est; lange Adjektive: the most + Adjektiv.
| Adjektiv | Komparativ | Superlativ |
|---|---|---|
| cheap | cheaper | the cheapest |
| nice | nicer | the nicest |
| big | bigger | the biggest |
| busy | busier | the busiest |
| expensive | more expensive | the most expensive |
| good / well | better | the best |
| bad / badly | worse | the worst |
| far | farther / further | the farthest / the furthest |
Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam.
Der Fansipan ist der höchste Berg Vietnams.
This is the most expensive restaurant on this street.
Denk an the: the tallest, the best — Lernende lassen es oft weg. Und wie beim Komparativ: entweder -est oder most, nicht beides (nicht the most tallest).
2.Wann du es benutzt
1. Die Spitze einer Gruppe (drei oder mehr)
Sunday is the busiest day of the week at our café.
Who's the youngest in your family?
2. Das Schlusslicht: the least + Adjektiv
Walking is the least expensive way to get around.
3. Einer der Besten: one of the + Superlativ + Nomen im Plural
Hoi An is one of the most beautiful towns in Vietnam.
She's one of the best students in the class.
4. Zweit-, dritt-…: the second / the third + Superlativ
Who got the second highest score in the class?
5. Mit einem Possessiv fällt the weg: my, your, Minh's… + Superlativ
Nga is my oldest friend.
Nga ist meine älteste Freundin.
This is Minh's best score so far.
Das ist Minhs bisher bestes Ergebnis.
3.Komparativ oder Superlativ?
| Komparativ | Superlativ | |
|---|---|---|
| Muster | -er / more … than | the -est / the most … (in / of) |
| Beispiel | Lan is taller than her mother. | Lan is the tallest of the three sisters. |
Gibt es nur zwei, schreibt man sorgfältig the + Komparativ + of the two (the taller of the two); beim Sprechen benutzen viele trotzdem den Superlativ.
This hotel is cheaper than that one, but the hostel is the cheapest.
My eldest brother lives in Da Nang.
Mein ältester Bruder wohnt in Da Nang.
Einzelheiten findest du unter „Superlativ + ever / in / of“.
Minh is the tallest boy in the class.
This is the cheapest of the three phones.
