Turning now to environmental concerns closer to home,

Hanon authorities are calling on six neighboring provinces and relevant ministries to take urgent action against rising air pollution.

It's been quite the conversation recently and you can really see the pollution with your own eyes too.

And air pollution has been persisting in the capital city and the situation is becoming increasingly urgent.

Air pollution levels have been rising steadily during seasonal transitions, affecting public health and the environment.

The levels across the capital are climbing, particularly during seasonal transitions with emissions crossing provincial boundaries.

Hanoi has proposed establishing a national steering committee and across regional forecasting an early warning system.

Information sharing with nearby localities such as Mắc Ninh, Hưng Yin and Tai Fong is expected to help improve air quality and support sustainable development across the region.

Air pollution is not a new problem for Hanoi.

In fact, it has become a prolonged challenge, directly affecting daily life and public health.

So far, authorities are deploying management measures and advanced technologies, including UAVs, to monitor rise,

straw burning and dust emissions from major construction sites across the city.

The monitoring results are shared promptly with local authorities to enable timely action.

Now, let's take a look.

According to the Department of Environment,

Hanoi has three major hotspots where smoke and dust frequently affect residential areas and key traffic routes.

Since September, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Center for Agricultural Monitoring has deployed UAVs equipped with imaging and LIDAR systems.

They operate rotating flights to track emission sources closely.

UAV technology is a new and practical solution in Vietnam.

We have deployed an uncrewed aerial vehicle system to monitor illegal waste dumping, soil disposal and construction debris in polluted areas around Hanoi.

Each flight requires three personnel and typically lasts between 35 and 45 minutes.

After nearly three months, monitoring has improved significantly by combining satellite imagery with UAV data,

enabling authorities to accurately identify pollution hotspots in time and space and respond promptly.

Regarding air quality, the National Remote Sensing Department is currently implementing monitoring of transparent air pollution sources.

For Hanoi, we are using optical remote sensing data to monitor large construction sites.

Based on these data, we then conduct on-site inspection and deploy UAVs, allowing us to carry out more details and targeted monitoring.

As extreme weather events and urban environmental challenges become increasingly unpredictable,

AI and remote sensing technologies do more than review what the human eye cannot see.

They provide valuable time to act early,

marking the difference between reactive responses and a proactive city committed to protecting public health.
