1
Fear, treachery, bloodlust.
2
Thousands of years ago, these were the forces that ruled our world.
3
A world where prey were scared of predators.
4
And predators had an uncontrollable biological urge to maim and maul and- and...
5
Blood!
6
Blood!
7
Blood! And.. death.
8
Back then, the world was divided in two.
9
Vicious predator...
10
...or meek prey.
11
But over time, we evolved.
12
A move beyond our primitive savage ways.
13
Now, predator and prey live in harmony.
14
And every young mammal has multitudinous opportunities.
15
Yeah, I don't have to cower in a herd anymore.
16
Instead, I can be an astronaut.
17
I don't have to be a lonely hunter anymore.
18
Today I can hunt for tax exemptions.
19
I'm gonna be an actuary.
20
And I can make the world a better place.
21
I am going to be...
22
A police officer!
23
Funny cop!
24
That is the most stupidest thing I ever heard.
25
It may seem impossible to small minds.
26
I'm looking at you, Gideon Grey.
27
But just 211 miles away stands the great city of Zootopia,
28
where our ancestors first joined together in peace and declared that anyone can be anything!
29
Thank you and good night!
30
Judy, you ever wonder how your mom and me got to be so darn happy?
31
Nope.
32
Well, we gave up on our dreams and we settled.
33
Right, Bon?
34
Oh, yes, that's right, Stu.
35
We settled hard.
36
See, that's the beauty of complacency, Jude.
37
If you don't try anything new, you'll never fail.
38
I like trying, actually.
39
What your father means, hon, is it's gonna be difficult.
40
Impossible even for you to become a police officer.
41
Right.
42
There's never been a bunny comp.
43
No. Bunnies don't do that.
44
Never.
45
Never.
46
Oh, then I guess I'll have to be the first one.
47
Because I am gonna make the world a better place.
48
Or, uh, heck, you know, you want to talk about making the world a better place.
49
No better way to do it than becoming a carrot farmer.
50
Yes!
51
Your dad, me, your 275 brothers and sisters, we're changing the world.
52
Yeah.
53
One carrot at a time.
54
Amen to that.
55
Carrot farming is a noble profession.
56
Mm-hmm.
57
Just putting the seeds on the ground.
58
And one with the soil.
59
Just getting covered in dirt.
60
You get it, honey.
61
I mean, it's great to have dreams.
62
Yeah, just as long as you don't believe in them too much.
63
Where'd the heck she go?
64
Give me your tickets right now.
65
I'm gonna kick your meek little sheep butt.
66
Ow!
67
Cut it out, Gideon.
68
Baa, baa.
69
What are you gonna do, cry?
70
Hey!
71
You hurt her.
72
Cut it out.
73
Nice costume, loser.
74
What crazy world are you living in where you think a bunny could be a cop?
75
Kindly return my friends tickets.
76
Come and get them.
77
But watch out, cause I'm a fox.
78
And like you said in your dumb little stage play, us predators used to eat prey, and that killer instinct's still in our dinner.
79
Uh, I'm pretty much sure it's pronounced DNA.
80
Don't tell me what I know, Travis.
81
You don't scare me, Gideon.
82
Scared now?
83
Look at her nose twitch.
84
She is scared.
85
Cry, little baby bunny cry cry You don't know when to quit do you?
86
I want you to remember this moment the next time you
87
think you will ever be anything more than just a stupid carrot farming dumb bunny That looks bad.
88
Are you okay, Judy?
89
Yeah.
90
Yeah, I'm okay.
91
Here you go.
92
Wow!
93
You got our tickets!
94
You're awesome, Judy.
95
Yeah!
96
That Gideon Gray doesn't know what he's talking about.
97
Well, he was right about one thing.
98
I don't know when to quit.
