1
All right, where's that turkey?
2
Joey, those are my maternity pants.
3
No, no, these are my Thanksgiving pants.
4
Well, that's it.
5
I'm done.
6
Whew.
7
Oh, here come the meat sweats.
8
Well, Joey, we're all very proud of you.
9
Yes, I believe we can expect a call from the president any moment now.
10
Is there anything we can do for you?
11
No, just nobody press on my stomach.
12
You can keep those pants, by the way.
13
What do you got there? Is that pie?
14
Yeah, you want some?
15
Just cut me a little sliver.
16
A little bigger.
17
A little bigger.
18
What are you, Fred?
19
You gonna run out?
20
Cut me a real piece.
21
I'm so sorry we're late.
22
Please let us in so we can have dinner together.
23
No. Everything's cold.
24
The turkey's dried out, and the stuffing's all soggy.
25
Yeah, and there's a bowl of cranberry sauce that...
26
What happens to cranberry sauce?
27
Nothing.
28
It's fine.
29
Oh, thank God.
30
Oh, I just remembered.
31
We do have something to eat.
32
Monica put something in our oven this morning.
33
Oh, yeah.
34
Hey, you touch that, and you will be sorry.
35
Guys, I listened to her.
36
The vein is bigger than I've ever seen it.
37
Oh?
38
Oh, my God, it's Brussels sprouts!
39
That's worse than no food.
40
Ha-ha!
41
All you got was Monica's stinky Brussels sprouts.
42
Stinky?
43
Please let me stay on this side of the door.
44
Oh.
45
Oh.
46
All right.
47
Oh, it all looks so beautiful.
48
The turkey, the stuffing.
49
The cranberries.
50
Enough.
51
A monkey could have made him.
52
Hey, listen, guys, we feel really terrible.
53
He's doing that weird eye contact thing.
54
Don't look at him.
55
Don't look at him.
56
Come on, you guys we want you to know we're very very sorry right guys i feel terrible
57
but let's not ruin this day you worked
58
so hard let's move past this
59
and try to have a nice meal all together the floating
60
heads do make a good point yeah they do seem to feel pretty bad so bad so So bad. So bad.
61
Okay.
62
Okay, you two go get the dessert and I'll let you in.
63
Dessert?
64
Yeah, I asked you and Phoebe to pick up the pies.
65
You did remember, right?
66
Pies?
67
Oh, we thought you said prize.
68
Here.
69
Grand Supreme, little darling.
70
Congratulations!
71
Oh, my God, you forgot the pies?
72
Well, I can't believe this.
73
You forced me to make dinner, then you're an hour late, and you forget the one little thing that I asked you to do.
74
Really, girls, not cool.
75
Well, you manheads aren't any better.
76
You lied about going to the game.
77
You knew it would make you late, and you still went anyway.
78
Hey, I'm getting a little tired of this, okay?
79
We said we're sorry.
80
It's Thanksgiving for Pete's sakes.
81
A day of forgiveness.
82
It's a day to be thankful.
83
Don't make me come up there.
84
It's too late for apologies.
85
Fine.
86
Let's just go.
87
I don't need your stupid dinner.
88
That would be a lot more convincing if you weren't drooling.
89
Oh, is that what that is?
90
Sorry.
91
Come on, you guys.
92
Let's just do our own Thanksgiving.
93
Yeah, I'll cook.
94
Yeah, let's go out.
95
Hey!
96
Yeah, you three have a nice Thanksgiving.
97
The three of us?
98
Yeah, you, Chan, and the vein!
99
Nice try.
100
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
101
Look, Monica.
102
This is not gonna work.
103
I bet this will work.
104
You are so great.
105
I love you.
106
What?
107
Nothing.
108
I said, I said, you're so great.
109
And then I just, I just stopped talking.
110
You said you loved me.
111
I can't believe this.
112
No, I didn't.
113
Yes, you did.
114
No, I didn't.
115
You loved me.
116
No, I don't.
117
Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it.
118
Hey, hon, would you help me get the plates down?
119
Yeah.
120
Hey, here's an idea.
121
Why don't we use our wedding china today?
122
I think we should save our china for something really special.
123
Like, if the Queen of England comes over.
124
Honey, she keeps canceling on us.
125
Take the hint.
126
What if something gets broken?
127
They're so expensive.
128
What is the point of having them if we never use them?
129
Okay, but if something gets broken and then the Queen comes over...
130
I will explain it to her.
131
Oh, yeah.
132
Like, I'm gonna let you talk to the Queen.
133
Well, the parade is really good this year.
134
Man, those horses can crap.
135
Next up is a marching band from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
136
Muskogee?
137
That's like four hours from Tulsa.
138
Woo-hoo!
139
And here's the float with the stars of the popular daytime soap, Days of Our Lives.
140
Oh, my God!
141
Aren't you one of the stars of the popular daytime soap, Days of Our Lives?
142
Yeah!
143
I forgot I'm supposed to be there.
144
I can't believe I forgot.
145
I usually write stuff like this down on my arm.
146
Oh, stupid long sleeves.
147
What are you gonna do?
148
I guess I'm gonna have to come up with a really good reason why I wasn't there.
149
The producers are gonna be so mad at me.
150
They sat us all down yesterday and said, everyone has to be there, 6 a.m sharp.
151
That means you, Tribbiani.
152
Like I was some kind of idiot.
153
Well, you proved them wrong.
154
Yeah.
155
Well, you were right.
156
How can they do this to us?
157
It's Thanksgiving.
158
Okay, I tell you what.
159
How about if I cook dinner at my place?
160
I'll make it just like Mom's.
161
Will you make the mashed potatoes with the lumps?
162
You know they're not actually supposed to...
163
I'll work on the lumps.
164
Joey, you're going home, right?
165
Yeah.
166
And I assume, Chandler, you're still boycotting all the Pilgrim holidays.
167
Yes, every single one of them.
168
And Phoebe, you're gonna be with your grandma?
169
Yeah, and her boyfriend.
170
But we're celebrating Thanksgiving in December, because he's lunar.
171
Mom, Chandler was just saying how beautiful your sweater is.
172
Oh, thank you, Chandler.
173
I just bought it.
174
Oh, yes, well, it's very beautiful, and it's cream-colored and tight, and...
175
I mean, tight.
176
I mean, it's not too tight.
177
Not that I was looking at...
178
What's the matter with him? with him I think he's stoned
179
again what dude I need to talk to you a sec
180
okay I think I might know why my parents don't like
181
you you do why okay remember we were young hey spring break sophomore year I got high in my bedroom
182
and my My parents walked in and smelled it, and so I told them that you had gotten stoned and jumped out the window.
183
What?
184
Why did you do that?
185
I don't know.
186
Uh, yours was the first name.
187
That popped into my head.
188
I'm sorry.
189
I didn't think it'd matter.
190
How could it not matter?
191
How was I supposed to know we'd end up being friends after college, let alone you'd be living with my sister?
192
What about all that friends forever stuff?
193
I don't know.
194
I was all high.
195
Mom and Dad just sent me in here to find out if you were trying to get Ross stoned.
196
Your parents caught Ross smoking pot in college, and he blamed it on me.
197
Ross, I can't believe you'd do that.
198
The reason we haven't told them we're together is because they hate me.
199
Okay, so will you fix this?
200
Okay, okay.
201
I'll tell them it wasn't Chandler who got high.
202
Okay.
203
Well, who should I say it was?
204
You!
205
It's not like it's a big deal.
206
You don't still do it or anything.
207
All right, all right.
208
Now, who should I say tricked me into doing it?
209
Let's go.
210
Oh, yeah, about telling Mom and Dad, I was thinking about maybe writing a letter.
211
All right, you know what?
212
That's it.
213
You've had your chance.
214
Wha-what?
215
Mom, Dad.
216
Ross smoked pot in college.
217
What?
218
You are such a tattletale!
219
Mom, Dad, you remember that time you walked in my room and smelled marijuana?
220
Yes.
221
Well, I told you it was Chandler who was smoking the pot, but it was me.
222
I'm sorry.
223
It was you?
224
And Dad, you know that mailman that you got fired?
225
Didn't steal your Playboys.
226
Ross did.
227
Yeah, well, Hurricane Gloria didn't break the porch swing.
228
Monica did.
229
Ross hasn't worked at the museum for a year.
230
Monica and Chandler are living together.
231
Ross married Rachel in Vegas and got divorced again.
232
That's a lot of information to get in 30 seconds.
233
All right, Monica, why you felt you had to hide the fact that you're in an important relationship is beyond me.
234
And we kind of figured about the porch swing.
235
Ross, drugs, divorced again.
236
What happened, son?
237
I-I, uh, I got tricked into all those things.
238
Chandler, you've been Ross's best friend all these years, stuck by him during the drug problems.
239
And now you've taken on Monica as well.
240
Well, I don't know what to say.
241
You're a wonderful human being.
242
Thank you.
243
No!
244
Thank you!
245
Monica and Ross, I don't know what I'm gonna do about the two of you.
246
I'll talk to them.
247
You're going out with him again.
248
You know, I don't care how much he begs.
249
I think his begging days are over now that he's going out with Nancy Branson.
250
You know what?
251
I've just had it with high school boys.
252
They're just silly.
253
They're just silly, stupid boys.
254
I'm gonna start dating men.
255
Uh, I'm sorry, Judy.
256
I couldn't find that bowl you and Jack were looking for.
257
Uh, call them mom and dad, you loser.
258
Wanna cook?
259
Okay, let's see.
260
Okay, the turkey's in the oven.
261
The stuffing is ready.
262
You know, you always cook this meal all by yourself.
263
Let me help this here.
264
Aw, Chandler, that's sweet.
265
But you don't have to do everything Dr. Phil tells you
266
to do you to do i'm serious let me do something just not the turkey or the stuffing nothing high profile
267
oh the cranberry sauce it's easy to make and no one really cares about it
268
tell me more okay i'm gonna go check on something across the hall you start by washing these not with soap No!
269
You obviously haven't tasted my Paul Mahler potato.
270
Oh, my God.
271
The pages are stuck together.
272
Chandler!
273
Oh, my God, she made half an English trifle and...
274
half a shepherd's pie.
275
Mm-hmm.
276
Mm.
277
Now, this is so good that I'm gonna go enjoy it on the balcony.
278
So if I can enjoy the view whilst I enjoy my dessert.
279
I'm gonna call my friend Mary and tell her how good this is for Monica's room.
280
I'll help you dial.
281
I'm gonna go into the bathroom
282
so I can look at it in the mirror as I eat it okay now what was
283
that all about is it does it not taste good let me try it oh All gone. So good.
284
Maybe Chandler has some left.
285
It tastes like feet.
286
I like it. Are you kidding?
287
What's not to like?
288
Custard?
289
Good.
290
Jam?
291
Good meat good a bird just grabbed it
292
and then tried to fly away with it
293
and then just dropped it on the street yes but
294
if it's any consolation before the bird dropped it he seemed to enjoy it hello hello
295
Phoebe?
296
Joey?
297
What's going on?
298
What?
299
Oh, my God!
300
I know!
301
It's stuck!
302
Dad, how did it get on?
303
I put it on to scare Chandler.
304
Oh, my God!
305
Monica's gonna totally freak out!
306
Well, then help me get it off.
307
Plus, it smells really bad in here really bad in here
308
of course it smells really bad you have your head up a dead animal
309
what are you doing is this must be funny no it's not supposed to be funny it's It's supposed to be scary.
310
Give it off now.
311
I can't.
312
It's stuck.
313
I don't care that that turkey has to feed 20 people at my parents' house, and they're not gonna eat it off your head.
314
Hold on, okay?
315
Let's just all think.
316
Okay, I got it.
317
Phoebe?
318
All right, you pull.
319
I'm gonna spread the legs as wide as I can.
320
He, he, he, he.
321
Joey, now is not the time.
322
Sorry, guys.
323
Okay, count to three.
324
One, two, three!
325
Oh!
326
Ah!
327
Is that coming here for Thanksgiving?
328
I know.
329
It's sick.
330
Why is it sick?
331
Because it's Richard's son.
332
It's like inviting a Greek tragedy over for dinner.
333
Come on, Phoebe, you understand, don't you?
334
Yeah, I could see where I'd be your best shot, but no. Sorry, honey, I think it's twisted.
335
Yeah.
336
What's twisted?
337
Ugh, me going out with Richard's son.
338
Ew!
339
Ew, ew, ew.
340
Sounds like a really bad idea to me.
341
Is he okay in there?
342
He's fine.
343
Hey, you know, Ma, if things work out between you and Richard's son, you'll be able to tell your kids that you slept with their grandfather.
344
Fine, judge all you want to, but married a lesbian, left a man at the altar, fell in love with a gay ice dancer,
345
threw a girl's wooden leg in the fire, live in a box! So how's the game?
346
I have no idea.
347
What?
348
Yeah, I'm just pretending to watch the game, so I don't have to help out with stuff.
349
I don't believe you!
350
That is.. brilliant!
351
And Monica has no idea?
352
Nope.
353
Every once in a while, I just yell and scream stuff at the TV.
354
Hey, what?
355
Oh, hey!
356
Is your team winning, hon?
357
Oh, yeah.
358
Anderson just scored again.
359
There's no Anderson.
360
For once, I am gonna sit down and try to watch one of these things.
361
Halftime.
362
Hey, who wants to, uh, throw the ball around a little?
363
Maybe get a little three-on-three going?
364
Oh, that would be so much fun.
365
Oh, can I play, too?
366
I've never played football, like, ever.
367
Great.
368
You can cover Chandler.
369
No, no, I don't really want to play.
370
Come on, man.
371
You haven't wanted to do anything since you and Janice broke up.
372
That's not true.
373
I wanted to wear my bathrobe and eat peanut clusters all day.
374
I wanted to start drinking in the morning.
375
Don't say that I don't have goals.
376
Chandler, you have to start getting over her, all right?
377
If you play, you get some fresh air.
378
Maybe you'll take your mind off Janice.
379
And if you don't play, everyone will be mad at you because the teams won't be even.
380
Come on.
381
All right, I'll play.
382
Yay!
383
Let's do it!
384
Ross?
385
What?
386
Want to play football?
387
Um, Monica and I aren't supposed to play football.
388
Says who, your mom?
389
Yes.
390
Well, every Thanksgiving, um, we used to have a touch football game called the Geller Bowl.
391
No, no, no. You say that proudly.
392
Anyway, Ross and I were always captains, and, um, it got kind of competitive, and one year, Killer Bowl 6,
393
I accidentally broke Ross' nose.
394
It was so not an accident.
395
She saw I was about to tag her, so she threw her big, fat grandma arm elbow in my face.
396
Just kept running.
397
To score the winning touchdown, by the way.
398
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
399
Uh, you did not win the game.
400
The touchdown didn't count because of the spectacularly illegal...
401
Oh, and by the way, Savage, nose-breaking.
402
I won the game.
403
Oh, yeah?
404
Then how come you didn't get the Geller Cup?
405
There was a Geller Cup?
406
Yes, it was the trophy you got if you won the game.
407
But our dad said nobody won that game, and he was sick of our fighting, so we took the trophy...
408
threw it in the lake.
409
And was the curse lifted?
410
Anyway, that's when Mom said we were not allowed to play football again.
411
You know what?
412
I think we should play a game.
413
I mean, come on, it's been 12 years.
414
Can I see you for a second?
415
What?
416
All right, we're gonna play.
417
Wait a minute, though.
418
How are we gonna get there?
419
Because my mom won't let me cross the street.
420
Okay.
421
You want to play rough?
422
We can play rough.
423
Let's get ready to rumble!
424
Y'all ready for this?
425
Ready?
426
Ah!
427
Come on.
428
I love
429
this game!
430
Thank you.
431
I'm sorry.
432
I'm sorry.
433
I'm sorry.
434
I'm sorry.
435
I'm sorry.
436
I'm sorry.
437
I'm sorry.
438
I'm sorry.
439
I'm sorry.
440
I'm sorry.
441
You know, Rachel, funny thing.
442
Actually, the end zone starts at that pole, so you're five feet short, so we win.
443
What?
444
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
445
So explain something to me, though.
446
If nobody tagged Rachel, then isn't the play still going?
447
Hey, everybody.
448
Happy Thanksgiving.
449
Hey, happy Thanksgiving.
450
Thieves.
451
Hey, what's going on, Joe?
452
I need a good lie.
453
Oh, okay.
454
How about the whole man walking on the moon thing?
455
You know?
456
You can see the strings, people.
457
No, no, no, no. I need a good lie to explain why I wasn't at a work thing today.
458
Oh, honey, you stink at lying.
459
Well, I do not.
460
Oh, really?
461
Okay, let me ask you something.
462
Yesterday at the coffee house, I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, my muffin was gone.
463
Who took it?
464
Somebody opened the door to the coffee house, and a raccoon came around in the area and walked straight for your muffin.
465
I said, hey, don't eat that.
466
That's Phoebe's.
467
And he said...
468
He said, Joey, you stink at lying.
469
What am I gonna do?
470
Don't worry.
471
Don't worry.
472
We'll come up with a good lie.
473
I'll help you practice it.
474
Oh, great.
475
That'd be great.
476
Thank you.
477
Sure.
478
What was the work thing?
479
Uh...
480
Pick up Grandma at the airport?
481
Oh, man.
482
Terry, I know that I haven't worked here very long, but I was wondering, do you think it would be possible if I got a $100 advance on my salary?
483
An advance?
484
It's so that I can spend Thanksgiving with my family.
485
See, every year we go skiing in Vail, and normally my father pays for my ticket, but I've sort of started this whole independent thing,
486
you know, which is actually why I took this job.
487
Rachel, Rachel.
488
Sweetheart.
489
You're a terrible, terrible waitress.
490
Really, really awful.
491
Okay, I...
492
I hear what you're saying.
493
I'm with you.
494
Um, but, uh, but I'm trying really hard, and I think I'm doing better.
495
I really do.
496
Does anybody need coffee?
497
Yeah, over here.
498
Yeah, I do.
499
And you know, if I get really hot, I like to pick up this knife,
500
and I put the cool steel against my body. Are you all right?
501
All right?
502
Yeah, yeah.
503
I'm fine.
504
It's...
505
What we got here?
506
20-year-old male.
507
He's got a severed toe on his right foot.
508
Ow!
509
Ow!
510
Could you please not do that feat first?
511
You know where his injury is.
512
You just said it.
513
It says here the knife went right through your shoe.
514
Of course it did.
515
They're made of wicker.
516
Did you bring the toe?
517
Oh, yes.
518
I have it right here on ice.
519
Don't worry, son.
520
We'll just reattach it and then...
521
What?
522
What is it?
523
You brought a carrot.
524
What?
525
This isn't your toe.
526
This is a small, very cold piece of carrot.
527
You brought a carrot?
528
What?
529
Oh, my God.
530
There's a toe in my kitchen.
531
Hello?
532
Oh, he can't talk right now.
533
Why not?
534
What's going on?
535
Well, he's trying to show Joey how much he means to him.
536
What?
537
By being in a box.
538
Joey had reasons.
539
They were threefold.
540
Oh.
541
Well, uh...
542
You not being able to talk might actually make this easier.
543
Listen, um...
544
Listen, I don't want to be someone who comes between two best friends.
545
I just, I can't stand seeing what this is doing to you guys.
546
And I don't want to be the cause of that.
547
So I don't think we can see each other anymore.
548
I'm gonna go to my mom's in Chicago.
549
I'm gonna stay there for a while.
550
I think this could have been something really amazing.
551
But, you know, this is probably for the best.
552
You know?
553
I'm gonna miss you.
554
Goodbye, Chandler.
555
Open the box.
556
Also, just so you know, I'm not gonna make a turkey this year.
557
What?
558
Well, Phoebe doesn't eat turkey.
559
Phoebe?
560
Turkeys are beautiful, intelligent animals.
561
No, they're not.
562
They're ugly and stupid and delicious.
563
All right, now, it's not just Phoebe.
564
Will's still on a diet, Chandler doesn't eat Thanksgiving food, and Rachel's having her aversion to poultry.
565
She is?
566
Yeah, did you remember I had to leave the room the other day when you had that roast chicken?
567
Yeah, but I thought that was just
568
because I put the whole thing on my hand and made it walk across the table.
569
Anyway, it just doesn't seem worth it to make a whole turkey for just three people, okay?
570
It's just, it's a lot of work
571
but you gotta have turkey on thanksgiving i mean thanksgiving with
572
no turkey is like like fourth of july with no apple pie
573
or or friday with no two pizzas all right fine
574
if it means that much to you
575
but just there's gonna be a ton left over no no they won't i promise i will finish
576
that turkey you're telling me you can eat almost an entire turkey in one sitting that's right
577
because I'm a Tribbiani this is what we do we may not be great thinkers
578
or or world leaders we don't read a lot or run very fast but damn it we can eat
579
everybody happy Thanksgiving what are we keeping Thanksgiving a secret this
580
year no we are playing this game I learned at work you have to name all the states in six minutes.
581
What?
582
That's like insanely easy.
583
No, it's a lot harder than it sounds.
584
You always forget at least one or in some cases 14.
585
It's a stupid game and it wasn't playing against other people so technically I didn't lose.
586
What?
587
You forgot 14 states?
588
Nobody cares about the Dakotas.
589
Oh, okay.
590
Time's up.
591
All right.
592
I got 48.
593
Oh, that's not bad.
594
Bebs?
595
Oh, I got tired of naming states, so I decided to list the types of celery.
596
And I have one, regular celery.
597
Okay, so Rachel's got 48, and Phoebe has the lead in...
598
vegetables.
599
Joey?
600
Say hello to the new champ of Chandler's dumb states game.
601
Wow, how many you got?
602
56. Done.
603
with time to spare.
604
Ooh, this may be a new world's record.
605
You know, I hate to lecture you guys, but it's kind of disgraceful that a group of well-educated adults and Joey...
606
can't name all the states.
607
You ever see a map?
608
Or one of those round, colorful things called a globe?
609
Hmm?
610
Uh, Magellan?
611
You got 46 states.
612
What?
613
That's impossible.
614
46. Well, who's well-educated now, Mr. I-forgot-ten states?
615
Okay, Ross, time is up.
616
No, just give me another minute.
617
Look, Ross, if you don't know them by now, you will never know them, okay?
618
That is the beauty of this game.
619
It makes you want to kill yourself.
620
This is crazy.
621
I can do this.
622
All right, uh, I bet I can get all 50 before dinner.
623
Okay, but if you can't, no dinner.
624
You're on.
625
All right, don't look at my list, Ross, because there's a lot on there that you don't have.
626
How can I not get this?
627
I'm a college professor.
628
I got $14.50 on my SATs.
629
$12.50.
630
Damn, I forgot you were here.
631
Ross, you need some help? From you?
632
Yes, please.
633
First of all, Utah?
634
Dude, you can't just make stuff up.
635
I hate America.
636
When I finish this game, I swear, I am moving.
637
Okay, maybe this is so hard because there aren't 50 states.
638
Let me tell you something.
639
I have 49 states states and there are no more.
640
I think I should be able to eat something.
641
It's up to you.
642
Delaware.
643
Delaware.
644
All right.
645
I want my turkey now.
646
You got it.
647
You got Nevada twice.
648
I know.
649
Yeah.
