in order to, so as to, so that + can/will — 어떤 일을 하는 이유 말하기

to동사원형I went out to buy some bread.
in order to동사원형She moved to Hanoi in order to find work.
so as to동사원형We left early so as to avoid the traffic.
in order not to / so as not to동사원형I wrote it down so as not to forget.
so that주어 + can / will / could / would…I'll text you so that you know where we are.
for명사We stopped for coffee.

(I came here for learn English). 동사라면 to / in order to를 쓰세요: I came here to learn English. for는 명사와 함께 씁니다: I came here for the course.

2.to, in order to, so as to

  • I called the shop to check if they had my size.

  • Why are you learning English? — To get a better job.

2. in order to / so as to — 목적을 강조하며 더 격식 있는 표현.

  • Minh moved to Hanoi in order to find work.

  • Staff must wear gloves so as to protect their hands.

3. 부정: in order not to / so as not to + 동사 — not은 to 앞에 둡니다.

  • I set two alarms in order not to miss my flight.

  • She whispered so as not to wake her parents.

(I left early not to miss the bus). so as not to, in order not to, 또는 so that … won't / wouldn't를 쓰세요.

3.so that + 절

현재나 미래의 목적 → can, will(또는 현재시제), 과거의 목적 → could, would.

  • I'll send you a map so that you can find the house easily.

  • Take an umbrella so that you don't get wet.

  • Dad bought a bigger car so that we could travel together.

(과거 → could)

  • We spoke quietly so that we wouldn't wake the baby.

Speak up so everyone can hear. I was tired, so I went to bed.

다른 사람이나 사물이 그 동작을 해야 한다고 말할 때는 in order for + 사람 / 사물 + to + 동사를 씁니다(격식): In order for the plan to work, everyone has to help.

4.to일까 for일까?
