it's hard to…, I'm happy to…, nice to meet you — 뒤에 to가 오는 형용사
|---|---|
| It + be + 형용사 + to + 동사 | It's hard to say. |
| It + be + 형용사 + for + 사람 + to + 동사 | It's hard for me to understand him. |
| It + be + 형용사 + of + 사람 + to + 동사 | It's kind of you to come. |
| 사람 + be + 형용사 + to + 동사 | I'm happy to help. |
| 사물 + be + 형용사 + to + 동사 | This book is easy to read. |
It's difficult to learn English(Is difficult to learn English가 아님).

It was great to see you last weekend!
Finding a cheap flat isn't easy.
It's hard for me to understand his accent.
It's normal for babies to wake up at night.

His handwriting is hard to read.
3.for일까 of일까? to + 동사일까 -ing일까?
|---|---|---|
| 누가 하는지 / 누구에게 어떤지 | for + 사람 | It's difficult for kids to sit still. |
| 누군가의 행동을 칭찬하거나 비판함 | of + 사람 | It was nice of Lan to call. |
| 자신이 하거나 본 일에 대한 감정 | 형용사 + to + 동사 | I'm glad to be home. |
| 어떤 일에 대한 감사나 사과 | thanks for / sorry for + -ing | Thanks for waiting. / Sorry for being late. |
(I was afraid to ask). afraid of + -ing = 어떤 일이 일어날까 봐 무섭다(I'm afraid of falling). I'm afraid (that)…
(Sorry to bother you. / Sorry to hear that.), 자신이 한 일에는 sorry for + -ing 또는 sorry (that) + 절(Sorry for shouting.).
4.관련 표현: too, enough와 the first / the only
- too + 형용사 + to + 동사 = 너무 ~해서 … It's too hot to sleep. 「“too … to” / “enough to”」 레슨을 참고하세요.
