Lektion 76 · Etappe 6: Verbmuster
Adjektiv + to-Infinitiv
MittelstufeAdjective + to-infinitive
Form & Gebrauch
it's hard to…, I'm happy to…, nice to meet you — ein Adjektiv, auf das to folgt
1.Form
| Muster | Beispiel |
|---|---|
| It + be + Adjektiv + to + Verb | It's hard to say. |
| It + be + Adjektiv + for + Person + to + Verb | It's hard for me to understand him. |
| It + be + Adjektiv + of + Person + to + Verb | It's kind of you to come. |
| Person + be + Adjektiv + to + Verb | I'm happy to help. |
| Sache + be + Adjektiv + to + Verb | This book is easy to read. |
Englische Sätze brauchen ein Subjekt: It's difficult to learn English (nicht: Is difficult to learn English).
2.Wie man es benutzt
1. It's + Adjektiv + to + Verb — eine Meinung über eine Handlung: easy, hard, difficult, important, necessary, possible, safe, dangerous, nice, great, expensive…
It's important to drink enough water in hot weather.
It isn't easy to find a cheap flat in Hanoi.
It was great to see you last weekend!
2. Wer es tut: for + Person + to + Verb
It's hard for me to understand his accent.
It's normal for babies to wake up at night.
Es ist normal, dass Babys nachts aufwachen.
3. Das Verhalten von jemandem beurteilen: It's + Adjektiv + of + Person + to + Verb — kind, nice, good, generous, thoughtful, silly, careless, rude…
It's very kind of you to help me.
It was silly of me to leave my phone in the taxi.
4. Person + Gefühlsadjektiv + to + Verb — wie jemand auf etwas reagiert: happy, glad, pleased, sorry, surprised, shocked, relieved, lucky, proud, disappointed…
Nice to meet you.
Freut mich, dich kennenzulernen.
I'm sorry to hear that you're ill.
I was surprised to see Hung at the party.
We were lucky to get the last two tickets.
5. Person + Adjektiv der Einstellung + to + Verb — bereit, nicht gewillt, vorsichtig…: ready, willing, happy (= bereit), keen, afraid, careful, quick, slow…
I'm ready to go.
Ich bin so weit, wir können los.
I'm happy to help if you need anything.
Ich helfe gern, wenn du etwas brauchst.
Be careful not to drop it.
Pass auf, dass es dir nicht runterfällt. (Verneinung: not to + Verb)
6. Sache + be + Adjektiv + to + Verb — wie leicht, schwer … es ist, etwas damit zu tun. Das Subjekt ist eigentlich das Objekt des Verbs, deshalb setzt du am Ende kein it/them dazu.
This book is easy to read.
Dieses Buch ist leicht zu lesen. (nicht: easy to read it)
His handwriting is hard to read.
Seine Handschrift ist schwer zu lesen.
3.For oder of? To + Verb oder -ing?
| Du willst sagen | Nimm | Beispiel |
|---|---|---|
It's difficult for kids to sit still. |
| Lob oder Kritik am Verhalten von jemandem | of + Person | It was nice of Lan to call. |
| dein Gefühl zu dem, was du tust oder siehst | Adjektiv + to + Verb | I'm glad to be home. |
| Dank oder Entschuldigung für etwas | thanks for / sorry for + -ing | Thanks for waiting. / Sorry for being late. |
Afraid: afraid to + Verb = zu viel Angst haben, um etwas bewusst zu tun (I was afraid to ask); afraid of + -ing = Angst haben, dass etwas passieren könnte (I'm afraid of falling).
Sorry to hear that.); sorry for + -ing oder sorry (that) + Nebensatz für etwas, das du getan hast (Sorry for shouting.).
4.Verwandt: too, enough und the first / the only
- too + Adjektiv + to + Verb = so sehr, dass man etwas nicht kann: It's too hot to sleep. Siehe die Lektion „Too … to“ / „enough to“.
- Adjektiv + enough + to + Verb = so viel wie nötig: She's old enough to drive.
- the first / the last / the only (+ Nomen) + to + Verb = der oder die Erste, Letzte oder Einzige, der/die etwas tut: Lan was the first person to arrive. / He's the only one to pass the test.
The tea is too hot to drink.
Der Tee ist zu heiß zum Trinken.
