“be used to” + -ing
중급“Be used to” + -ing
be/get used to + -ing
|---|---|---|
| 익숙함 | be used to + 명사 / -ing | I'm used to the noise. / She's used to working late. |
| 익숙하지 않음 | be not used to + 명사 / -ing | I'm not used to spicy food. |
| 익숙해짐 | get used to + 명사 / -ing | You'll get used to it. / I'm getting used to driving on the right. |
Are you used to…? / Have you got used to…? | Are you used to the heat yet? |
I'm used to getting up early(used to get up이 아님).
2.be used to — 이미 익숙함
be는 평소처럼 시제에 따라 바뀝니다: am/is/are used to(지금), was/were used to(그때), will be used to(나중에).
I've lived in Hanoi for years, so I'm used to the traffic.

3.get used to — 익숙해지는 과정
get used to는 모든 시제에 쓸 수 있고, soon, slowly, still, it took me a while… 현재완료에서는 영국 영어는 have got used to, 미국 영어는 보통 have gotten used to라고 합니다. become used to도 맞지만 더 격식 있는 표현입니다.
Don't worry — you'll soon get used to the food here.

4.“used to” + 동사와 비교
「used to」 레슨도 참고하세요.
|---|---|---|
| used to + 동사 | 지금은 하지 않는 과거의 습관이나 상태 | I used to live alone. |
| be used to + 명사 / -ing | 익숙함(지금, 또는 말하는 그 시점에) | I'm used to living alone. |
| get used to + 명사 / -ing | 익숙해지는 중 | I'm getting used to living alone. |

I'm used to drinking coffee without sugar now.
학습자들은 be를 빼고 “I used to the noise”라고 말하곤 하는데, 틀린 문장입니다. 지금 익숙함 = I'm used to the noise. I used to + 동사는 과거의 습관(“예전에 그랬다”)일 때만 씁니다.
Wood is used to make paper. 이때 used는 /juːzd/로 발음합니다. used to(과거의 습관)와 be used to(익숙함)에서는 /juːst/입니다.
I'm used to work late at night.I'm used to working late at night.
be used to + -ing이지 동사원형이 아닙니다.

I'm used to.
I'm using to the traffic now.I'm used to the traffic now.
