उद्देश्य: in order to / so that
Purpose: in order to / so that
in order to, so as to, so that + can/will — कोई काम क्यों करता है, यह बताना
|---|---|---|
| to | मूल रूप | I went out to buy some bread. |
| in order to | मूल रूप | She moved to Hanoi in order to find work. |
| so as to | मूल रूप | We left early so as to avoid the traffic. |
| in order not to / so as not to | मूल रूप | I wrote it down so as not to forget. |
| so that | कर्ता + can / will / could / would… | I'll text you so that you know where we are. |
| for | संज्ञा | We stopped for coffee. |
(I came here for learn English)। क्रिया के साथ to / in order to लगाएँ: I came here to learn English। I came here for the course।
2.To, in order to, so as to
I called the shop to check if they had my size.
Why are you learning English? — To get a better job.
2. In order to / so as to — उद्देश्य पर ज़ोर, ज़्यादा औपचारिक।
Minh moved to Hanoi in order to find work.
Staff must wear gloves so as to protect their hands.
3. नकारात्मक: in order not to / so as not to + क्रिया — not, to से पहले आता है।
I set two alarms in order not to miss my flight.
She whispered so as not to wake her parents.
(I left early not to miss the bus)। so as not to, in order not to, या so that … won't / wouldn't कहें।
3.So that + उपवाक्य
अभी या भविष्य का उद्देश्य → can, will (या present simple); बीते समय का उद्देश्य → could, would।
I'll send you a map so that you can find the house easily.
Take an umbrella so that you don't get wet.
Dad bought a bigger car so that we could travel together.
(past → could)
We spoke quietly so that we wouldn't wake the baby.
(past → wouldn't)
Speak up so everyone can hear। I was tired, so I went to bed.
यह कहने के लिए कि काम किसी व्यक्ति या चीज़ को करना है, in order for + व्यक्ति / चीज़ + to + क्रिया लगाएँ (औपचारिक): In order for the plan to work, everyone has to help।
4.To या for?
|---|---|---|
| उद्देश्य एक काम के रूप में | to + क्रिया | I went to the pharmacy to buy medicine. |
| उद्देश्य कोई चीज़ या सेवा | for + संज्ञा | I went to the pharmacy for some medicine. |
| कोई चीज़ किस काम आती है | for + -ing | This brush is for cleaning the keyboard. |
What … for? | What did you buy that for? |

This app is for booking train tickets.
