the best … I've ever…, the biggest in the world, the most … of all
1.ثلاثة أنماط بعد صيغة التفضيل
كثيرًا ما تحتاج صيغة التفضيل إلى بيان الأعلى في ماذا. وهناك ثلاث طرق شائعة:

اختبار سريع: مكان أو مجموعة (class, team, company, family) → in؛ عدد أو اسم جمع أو فترة زمنية → of.
2.In أم of؟
1. in + مكان أو مجموعة
Ha Long Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
خليج ها لونغ واحد من أجمل الأماكن في العالم.
Phong is the funniest person in our class.
فونغ أظرف شخص في صفنا.
Grandma makes the best spring rolls in town.
جدتي تصنع أفضل لفائف الربيع في البلدة.
2. of + عدد، أو اسم جمع، أو فترة زمنية
Lan is the youngest of the four children.
لان أصغر الأطفال الأربعة.
This shop is the cheapest of all.
هذا المتجر هو الأرخص بين الجميع.
It was the happiest day of my life.
كان أسعد يوم في حياتي.
Tet is the busiest time of the year.
عيد تيت هو أكثر أوقات السنة ازدحامًا.
3.مع ever
للقول “الأكثر … الذي … في حياتي”، استخدم صيغة التفضيل + اسم + (that) + الفاعل + have/has ever + التصريف الثالث (past participle). ويُستخدم المضارع التام لأنه يشمل تجربتك حتى الآن. وغالبًا ما تُحذف that.
This is the best pizza I've ever eaten.
هذه أفضل بيتزا أكلتها في حياتي.
That was the worst film I have ever seen.
كان ذلك أسوأ فيلم شاهدته في حياتي.
Who's the most famous person you've ever met?
مَن أشهر شخص قابلته في حياتك؟
عند سرد قصة في الماضي (حتى نقطة في الماضي)، استخدم had ever + past participle. ويمكن أن تأتي Ever أيضًا بعد الاسم مباشرة: the best day ever.
It was the worst storm the town had ever seen.
كانت أسوأ عاصفة شهدتها البلدة على الإطلاق.
Today was the best day ever!
كان اليوم أفضل يوم على الإطلاق!
يمكن تحويل جملة فيها “never” إلى صيغة التفضيل: I've never seen such a big fish. = It's the biggest fish I've ever seen. مع صيغة التفضيل استخدم ever لا never.
في الكلام، وخاصة في الإنجليزية الأمريكية، ستسمع أحيانًا the best movie I ever saw (بالماضي البسيط). أما للتعلم والكتابة فالصيغة الآمنة تبقى I've ever seen.
4.التوكيد: by far و one of the
By far قبل the + صيغة التفضيل تؤكد “الأعلى، ولا شيء يقترب منه”. أما One of the + صيغة التفضيل + اسم جمع فألطف — لا تدّعي المرتبة الأولى.
This is by far the best phone I've ever had.
هذا أفضل هاتف امتلكته على الإطلاق، بفارق كبير.
It's one of the oldest cities in Vietnam.
إنها واحدة من أقدم المدن في فيتنام.
5.أخطاء شائعة
He is the richest man of the world.He is the richest man in the world.
مكان → in.
Phong is the funniest person of the class.Phong is the funniest person in the class.
مجموعة (صف) → in.
Lan is the youngest in the four children.Lan is the youngest of the four children.
عدد → of.
It's the best film I ever seen.It's the best film I've ever seen.
تحتاج إلى have + past participle.
It was the better meal I've ever had.It was the best meal I've ever had.
Ever تأتي مع صيغة التفضيل.
This is the biggest fish I've never seen.This is the biggest fish I've ever seen.
استخدم ever لا never.
